Chapter II Chapter 48

Despite standing under the eye of hurricane Leon, Andrew and Amy remain undaunted. They remain on standby to protect Alice from impending danger.

Andrew squinted his tongue. "They've come." His eyes looked sharply at the grass that was moving incoherently.

Leon gripped his sword even stronger as Amy was ready with her fists. The little monsters started to arrive one after another until they finally crowded around.

Goblins, small monsters with green dwarf bodies, Hobgoblins, evolution from goblins with adult-like bodies but stronger and straighter. There are also wild boars that are twice the size of usual and others. The crowd of monsters walked up to them, but when they were in front of the protector Andrew had made, they stopped. Are they sure that they can't destroy the shield?

"Why did they stop?" Ask Leon in wonder.

"I doubt my protectors can hold them off if they try to destroy them." Andrew was also surprised.

It was originally only tens but as time passed, the number of those monsters became hundreds. But surprisingly no one dared to step from their position and attack.

The bloodthirsty, murderous and slaughtering look was evident from their expressions. Andrew and Leon are ready to confront them in case they destroy the protector.

Unlike Amy who was suddenly silent with a slightly pale face. He looked up with his mouth open as his eyes looked at the sky above his head.

"K-k-friends... I think I know what makes them not dare to approach." Stuttering words Amy.

Andrew and Leon turned their heads and looked at Amy who was standing in fear facing the sky.

"Amy? What's....." Andrew raised his gaze silent as he looked at the pitch-black sky with endless thunder.

"The sky...." Leon also ran out of words to witness the same scene.

Mana condensation in that place was what attracted the monsters. But their feet stopped because their instincts knew that something dangerous was going to happen in front of them. Although not so smart but at least they know of the dangers that will come.

After quite a while, Alice had already finished absorbing so much energy and stabilizing it in her body. He opened his eyes "Now the last stage remains."

The stage where he would receive lightning with a powerful energy that would help him to break through.

From the energy level he felt. Alice swallowed her saliva because she knew that the lightning that would strike her was not the lightning she had ever encountered.

"The principles of this world are different. This lightning might be stronger because of the Mana Energy contained within it. Although my body cannot process that Mana into magic but I can transform it like the natural energy I used to compress into Qi."

In the previous world, the lightning in the intrusion was a punishment or a celestial ordeal for trying to defy his nature as a mortal and wanting to live eternally as a god. But Alice was aware of her knowledge while she was still a modern society.

Lightning is an ordinary natural phenomenon due to the fusion and change in air temperature pressure. But he could not deny that lightning was indeed a good raw material to make a breakthrough based on the amount of energy it had.

"Miss Alicia?!" Call Leon when you see Alice standing in her place.

"You guys stayaway. Next is not something you can face, thank you for protecting me"

The three were stunned for a moment and swallowed their saliva. Following Alice's direction, they moved away from the altar. They turned around and saw the twinkling of the sky.

JGKHR!!! Lightning began to strike around Alice. One by one the ground began to burn and the pillars of the altar stone were crushed by the lightning strikes.

Before long the sky suddenly became mute. The three people accompanying Alice wondered in their minds. What the hell's going on? Stops? Is it done?

Unfortunately their hopes were dashed when the yellow lightning in the sky struck each other and fused to form a lightning with a larger and stronger size which then charged towards Alice quickly. Once, twice, the yellow lightning struck Alice's body.

However, Alice did not budge at all from her place. Leon breathed a sigh of relief but his heart would still not be strong if Alice was injured in front of his eyes.

For the second time, the sky was mute. Alice stared at the black clouds above her head with a sinister smile. As if the sky knew that it was being looked down upon, the previously calm sky again rumbled. This time like a giant dragon head swallowing its prey, the lightning fell down on Alice's body fiercely. The explosion puts air pressure on Leon, Andrew and Amy to the brink.

Dust and strong winds forced their feet to sink into the ground. When Leon looked back at Alice carefully, he was amazed that the little girl was standing there.

But because of the lightning strike, Alice shouted out loud. "Reverse! Don't look here!" The three of them immediately turned around without asking.

He almost lost his face due to his tattered clothes. He was grateful that the thin smoke was protecting their view.

His face flushed slightly and he bit his lower lip. "I'm glad I brought a change of clothes." He muttered while wearing the clothes and trousers he took from his storage ring.

Even though I've lived for hundreds of years, but it's still embarrassing to be naked in front of people. His mind muffled his chaotic heart.

"Alright, you can face here." Alice said awkwardly.

Leon, Andrew and Amy walked up to them.

"Waaah..." Amy was amazed to see the altar turned into rubble.

"What's your name okay?" Ask Leon.

"Y-yeah.."

Spontaneous when Amy sees Alice's face, she asks "But Alice, how come your face is red? Are you sure you're okay?"

Alice turned her eyes. "This.this is part of my breakthrough. Yep. This is a common thing to happen." A little monotonous.

Amy scratched her head in confusion. "But the Master has never experienced anything like that." Her thought.

"Already have. Look at them, it looks like we can't relax yet." Said Alice immediately dismiss Amy who looks still want to ask.

After making its breakthrough, the black clouds in the sky slowly faded and vanished just like that. Heavy rain and strong winds also began to subside. But what awaited them next was the crowd of monsters that had been prepared to prey on them.

"Look at that drooling. Looks like we've kept them waiting too long." Amy said jokingly.

"I want to ask you again for help. Can you hold them off for a while. I need time to stabilize my powers again." Pinta Alice is polite.

"All right, Miss Alicia." Andrew said as he nodded

"certain. Hmph! I'll leave your share later." Amy looks so excited.

"certain Miss. You don't have to worry." Said Leon.

Alicia once again smiled at their answer. They've protected him a lot today.

"We need to get out of here. Not just the monsters, I'm sure the experts are interested in coming here as well." Inner Alice.
