Chapter V Chapter 184

Alice stood to the side and saw Elysia fighting against the three assassins. Although her daughter lacked experience in dealing with humans who were incidentally different from monsters, but still in terms of strength and agility, Elysia was still stronger than the three of them.

"Only humans are more cunning. They're even fiercer than a tiger or a cornered rabbit."

The two assassins narrowed their eyes. Then they used the shadow technique. In an instant, their number tripled by more.

Elysia looked straight at the assassins, there was no sense of trepidation on her face even though the assassins had brought out their techniques. Elysia tightened her grasp. He took a deep breath, then sped forward.

"Even though I can't use my mother's technique perfectly, but within this close range, I can sense what's real and what's fake among you." Her speech.

Elysia swung her sword many times. His slash created a sharp blade of wind and shot towards those assassins.

Two of them jumped away. The four murderous bodies that were hit by Elysia's attack vanished into black smoke.

One of the killers was upset. The clones were easily obliterated.

The two leaped forward and charged at Elysia with their daggers in succession.

Elysia held her place while banishing every single slash from the daggers of the two assassins.

"Why are you blocking us? What is your real purpose until you protect that woman?" Said one of the killers.

"How can an emissary like you betray the God?!" Add his partner firmly.

They moved in an agile shadow, passing by Elysia with a stroke.

Elysia did not care and ignored their questions. He doesn't understand what they mean anyway. Why would he need a reason to protect his mother? And what god he betrayed.

The elves worship no god other than the Goddess Gaia.

Elysia remained focused on fighting. His eyes moved swiftly following his opponent's every move.

The two assassins were indeed nimble, but as the fight progressed, Elysia began to understand their fighting moves.

The protracted battle made the two of them start to run out of steam. They did not even get any answers from their opponent and still did not understand why the woman turned around and protected their target.

They both jumped back. The two assassins looked at each other and nodded. They decided to use other techniques.

We'll take it to the chairman, they thought.

Again they use the shadow technique. Although their numbers are not more than before.

"Same technique." Elysia did not know why they were using the technique anymore. However, he could sense the bitter Mana energy they were emitting. They exuded a different feeling from the shadow clones before.

The four assassins moved around Elysia. Two of them twisted it while firing black Mana bullets, while the other two moved irregularly while grabbing it with a slash.

Elysia brushed off those Mana bullets really well. He also managed to hold back the daggers of the other two assassins with his sword.

The killers suddenly stopped. Two of them ran towards him. They threw their daggers at Elysia.

Elysia created a protector from the wind. The dagger bounced and stuck to the ground. As the two assassins approached. Elysia grinned. He immediately released his protector leaving the two assassins injured.

It turned out that wind magic was not just an ordinary protector, but a sharp whirlwind.

Both assassins fell near him. Elysia raised her head to look at the other two assassins far behind them.

Something is strange. They're not moving. What are they waiting for?

True, the two assassins even looked relaxed. Elysia could see their eyes curling as if they were smiling behind a black cloth covering their mouths.

Elysia quickly glanced down. Instantly he came to his senses as the corpses of the two assassins nearby emitted a black smoke that had a pungent smell.

"Poisons?!" Elysia spontaneously covered her nose and mouth then she jumped back. But, the poison is very strong. When Elysia had breathed in it a little, her gaze began to blur.

"Damn! I got their poison. Ah. I.m not to lose now..." Elysia blinked her eyes to stay conscious. He did not expect to get caught in their trap.

He tried to step but his body staggered as his head began to feel heavy.

"At least.I should.. drop one of them.." Elysia looked at Alice for a moment. He hopes not to disappoint his mother to see his appearance.

Elysia took a deep breath. He bit his lips. Elysia clenched her teeth and then scratched her arm with a sword.

The incision may not be so deep, but it still hurts. Elysia was forced to injure herself to keep her conscious.

"It's just a moment, I have to defeat them immediately before my consciousness disappears."

Elysia stood up straight. He drew his sword to the side, then condensed Mana on his sword. Elysia enveloped the sword with a very fast and thin stream of wind. The wind was very strong. As he lowered his sword closer above the ground, it appeared that sand dust was blown away.

Elysia also protected her body with Mana energy. It takes a run. Elysia took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. As he blinked once, in the blink of an eye, Elysia had been behind one of those assassins.

Elysia slashed at him from behind. The killer shouted loudly before he fell to the ground.

Alice frowned looking at Elysia's movements just now. He realized that the movement was very dangerous for his body.

"So he had already protected his body with Mana energy." Alice was relieved that Elysia was fine. Soon he will step in. Alice knew that her daughter was exposed to toxic fumes that could cause her to lose consciousness. He did not expect Elysia to act rashly again. He almost jumped.

Elysia held the side of her head. His head became heavier. It was getting harder to endure the drowsiness in his eyes.

"At first I thought we had the same goal and I wanted to get you to work together. But you seem determined to protect that woman. I don't know why a messenger like you could betray. Elysia no longer focused on listening to the man's chatter.

He walked closer. "I admire you. Even if you are young, you can fight against us. If only you hadn't been caught in my trap. I definitely won't have a chance to beat you."

The assassin stood in front of Elysia.

Elysia could no longer hold her eyes to stay awake. He fell and lost consciousness.

The killer grinned with satisfaction.

He turned. He sighed when he saw two of his fallen comrades.

"I didn't think that in order to defeat you, I had to resort to cunning means. I even lost two of my colleagues."

Even if what he said sounded sad, ironically the look on his face and the tone of his flat voice just now did not show any sadness in it

The man leaned over, he stretched out both his hands to lift Elysia's body.

Then the man charged towards Alice quickly. He knew that if he was half-and-half and tried to save his strength against Alice, he would definitely die. Therefore, the man used up all the remaining Mana in his body.

The movement was so fast that it left a black shadow. His steps are so light. It was as if he was fused into the darkness of the night.

"God! This is my creation technique. With this technique I once killed quite a number of Swordmasters and other Aura users. You're just a young woman. Don't dream of beating me." Her chattering.

Babbling and continuing to babble, Alice just stared at him lazily. Again his opponents behaved presumptuously as if they were the greatest.
