On the way to Moonshade city, they occasionally encountered some monsters. Just to avoid wasting energy or to avoid the possibility of Elysia getting hurt, Alice decided to ignore them.
In addition to seeing the face of Elysia who was suddenly frightened, Alice as much as possible to find a route where they did not meet a monster.
"It looks like they've also passed this place." Alice said as they arrived at a village that looked ravaged. "How about we go inside and take a break?" Alice asked Elysia.
"Ms." Elysia nodded.
They went through the small village and saw houses that were also in disarray due to the actions of monsters. "At least here is no worse than what happened to the village of Elysia. Besides that..." Alice glanced at one of the fairly large houses.
"There's life there." His mind.
Alice looked at Elysia. He saw the little girl's sour expression. "Could he remember what happened to his village?"
Elysia's face looked slightly pale and cold sweat poured out slowly from her temples. "We'll rest there." Alice said while pointing at one of the houses.
With Elysia's current condition, Alice could not force their way.
They're headed for one of the houses that's a little broken. In the house there are several holes in the wall, and the floor and furniture are destroyed in a mess. There was also a former resistance and a corpse. "It turns out they haven't been here long." He muttered softly when he saw the traces of blood that had not dried well.
Fortunately, Alice immediately closed Elysia's eyes as she opened the door of the house. He was already guessing at what kind of atmosphere the house was in when he smelled the still strong smell of blood as they walked over.
They then walked up the stairs to the second floor. "Good, this place still has a bed and a roof for shelter." Benak Alice's. At least, in the rooms they found there were only cracked walls.
Alice turned to look at Elysia. "Are you okay?" She was anxious because ever since they entered the village, Elysia had become silent and her breathing sounded heavier. "Don't worry, you don't have to be afraid. Now rest first, we'll continue the journey tomorrow morning." Alice said as she gently stroked Elysia's head. "As long as I'm here. You don't have to be afraid." Alice gestured for Elysia to go up to the bed.
Elysia was speechless staring at those two black eyeballs. He breathed a sigh of relief. Alice's sentence seemed to be a handle that could eliminate her fear. "Good aunt." Reply with a smile.
Alice was relieved to see Elysia's smile. He then went down to the kitchen to cook a simple meal for them to eat.
After eating dinner together and making sure Elysia was fast asleep. Alice walked out of the house. He looked towards the previous big house.
Not to forget Alice used Qi to protect Elysia and the formation array around the house.
"They're still there. Did they hide out thinking the monsters were still outside?"
He could feel the air of life from several people who were in the same room.
Alice then walked over to the house.
~
"Sister.I'm hungry..." Whining a little girl at her brother.
"Sstt." The young man hinted at his sister to be quiet. "Please, maybe they're still out there. Brother will be out for a while to take a look." His word.
The young man walked slowly towards a hole in one of the walls. The hole is an emergency lane that connects directly to the back of the house.
Thanks to the basement of their family storage, they and their families managed to survive the rampage of the monsters.
"Eion! What do you want to do?" Asked a middle-aged elven man to stop the young man's actions.
"I'll check outside." The answer.
Claus was a successful merchant who lived in the village. As a father, of course he was worried about the dangerous actions of his son. "It's late. The monsters will be more active at night. Do it tomorrow." Evidently.
"Dad not to worry. I'll just peek a minute." Eion. Actually he himself knew what he was doing, but he couldn't bear to see his sister starving since morning.
"Listen to your father. Outside is still dangerous. You better check it out tomorrow." Said a woman who appeared to be their mother.
Eion frowned. He was upset because of his helplessness. In the small room, her mother and sister tried to hold back their hunger and thirst. Both of them looked exhausted.
With a shrunken mouth and a moody face, Noel lowered his head then nodded. "Yes." Yeah."
They then use some sheets of cloth that they have to serve as a bedding. Exhausted Noel and Claudia decide to go to bed early while Eion and Claus choose to keep watch.
"Are you sure you don't want to sleep? I'll just take a break, let me take care of you."
"No son, how could I sleep in such a situation."
Fear and fear enveloped his heart. The monsters were bloodthirsty and hungry, just a little they smelled delicious blood from their prey, they would definitely look for it until they could.
"How Leafa is doing. Has he gone?"
Eion shook his head. "He's not conscious."
The young girl named Leafa was the daughter of the village chief. Luck saved his life from the monsters.
Leafa lived with his father after his mother died. His father, who is old enough, is a retired former soldier who chooses to return to his village. When a monster attacks their home. His father swiftly came forward and protected him.
Instead of restraining the monster, his father did not expect that there would be a surprise attack from the other monsters that broke through their home.
The lizardman? The kobold? They look terrible. The lust of their heart makes them lose their minds.
Leafa fell down in surprise.
His father shouted to Leafa to leave immediately. Leafa hesitated and feared. He did not want to leave his father alone. But once again firmly his father shouted out loudly telling him to leave.
Panicked Leafa ran out looking for a hiding place until Eion appeared and pulled him suddenly.
Eion thought that they were safe while hiding on one side of the house, but another monster jumped off the roof of the house and injured Leafa's waist. The bloodthirsty humanoid monster moved nimbly. Eion was not even aware of the incoming attack.
If Claus and Claudia had not come and used their magic, it was likely that Eion and Leafa would have died.
"I'm still very weak to fight them." His mind as he clenched both his hands.
Eion still remembered the embarrassing incident when his magic was so young that it was pushed aside by the monster that resembled the thorny hedgehog.
"Dam. If only I were stronger it wouldn't be like this." Eion saw Leafa lying unconscious.
The spines of the hedgehog monster made Leafa bleed out a lot.
From the outside, suddenly there were footsteps. The sound of footsteps slowly sounded clearer. Claus and Eion narrowed their eyes staring at the warehouse door.
They looked at each other and then nodded.
Claus slowly built Claudia. While Eion who to hold Leafa on his back.
The sound of those approaching footsteps suddenly vanished. The hallway of the stairs to the warehouse became silent. They stared at the drooling from their dry throats while staring at the door of the warehouse.
Claus and Eion were already prepared with all the possibilities. Death, fight or escape.
TOK TOK TOK door of the warehouse sounded suddenly made them shocked instantly.
Their hearts seemed to want to jump out of their mouths. Cold sweat began to pour.
"Are you guys okay? There's no need to be afraid. It's safe outside."
The soft-sounding female voice from behind the door seemed to lift all their anxiety and fear.
