Tokyo, Japan.
The full moon shone on the prison in the dark of the night, accompanied by twinkling stars, emitting colorful light. The clouds slowly flashed across the dark blue-colored sky. The night wind was blowing slowly. The clattering of steps sounded, the longer it got closer. The sound of a key being opened. The creak arises when the best iron door is shifted and clanging so that one part of the door hit the iron bars of another cell.
"Yuzumoto Ryugai, we want to talk to you" said the owner of the footsteps, who turned out to be a man dressed as a police officer. On his right and left, stood two men in similar suits.
"What's the clock like? Just bother. I was just about to enter the dreamland" the prisoner grumbled as he stood up. A bright blue-haired man who seemed disheveled.
"We would like to invite you to attend a beta test of the VRMMORPG game Purity Online tonight as well."
"Haaahhhh? Beta testing? Why do I have to be a beta tester? What's in it for me? Just a waste of time" said the prisoner named Ryugai as he turned his face and turned his body, then sat facing the wall. "Why should an inmate like me do it anyway? If you want to find a beta tester, make an ad that can attract the attention of young game players!! And again, why are you the police in charge of inviting people to that beta test? It should be the company that invited its creators!! I don't think it out."
"It's mandatory, Yuzumoto Ryugai." Suddenly, the police's eyes turned stern. "It's an order."
"Government, huh? Ahahahahaha!!!" ryugai exclaimed while laughing out loud as if underestimating. "If I refuse, what will happen?"
"You will be put to death" said the fellow of the police earlier with a cold look.
Ryugai moved out of his cell. The handcuffs were attached to his wrists, giving off a slight sound of metal clanking. He then stepped in with the three police officers who were watching him vigilantly, fearing that the young man was trying to escape. But it turns out that it was just a worry. Ryugai did nothing when he stepped into the beta test room escorted by the police. It seemed, the young man had already given up since his fiftieth escape attempt failed miserably.
It only took a few minutes for the four men to arrive at the beta test room. A small room with a giant capsule the size of an adult human was in the middle. A wide variety of cables connected the capsule with dozens of sockets on the opposite wall. The capsule has a gray color with a bright blue circular line. A rectangular-shaped hole appears on the top side of the capsule, enough for an adult to enter. The three policemen who were together with Ryugai removed the handcuffs from his hands. The young man was a bit hesitant to enter the capsule. However, due to orders from the police, he was forced to enter the capsule. The human-sized square hole was covered after Ryugai entered it. Apparently, the hole was a sliding door.
Darkened. After the door closed, only darkness filled the view. Strange sensations began to sweep through Ryugai's body. He breathed a sigh of relief, then closed his eyes. "I hope this isn't a VR game for the death penalty or anything like that.
A few seconds later, a typical robot voice sounded. The strange sensations that permeated Ryugai's body were increasingly felt.
"Complete Login. Start Game. Welcome to Purity Online, fallen one. Let's start."

In this project, the author tries to make a sad novel without death, and the author also tries to make a sad novel that is somewhat different from the others.
