Purity Online - The World For The Fallens
Day 63: Victory (Part 14)

Iruna's seizures suddenly stopped. The Doctor and the nurses breathed a sigh of relief, giving thanks to the Creator. They rescued the child from a critical condition. Smiles are on their lips. The machine next to the hospital bed again rang with a steady rhythm. A few seconds later, Iruna opened her eyes.

"I ... congratulations?"

"Yes" said the doctor. "You're safe."

"Can I talk to my brother?"

"Yes, just a minute."

One of the sisters immediately came out of the nursery to tell Otomura the good news. Hearing the sound of the door creaking open, Otomura turned from his prayer position and turned his head. The Sister seemed to be smiling with relief.

"Your sister survived and she said she wanted to talk to you."

"Ah, so, huh?" Otomura also breathed a sigh of relief, then followed the Sister into the nursery. The bed of Iruna.

"Sir ...."

"I ... win ...."

"Yes" said Otomura, smiling. "You won from that disease."

"I ... succeeded ...."

"Yes, you did it."

"I'm ... is a strong sister, right?"

"Yes. You are a strong brother. Thanks to you, now our life story will end with Happy Ending."

"But .., our fight is not over ...," said Iruna.

"Yes, we still have to make it happen" Otomura said. "Promise us that day."

"You're gonna keep fighting with me, right? Brother?"

"Yes" Otomura said. "We're going to make it happen together. The world of your dreams, where everyone can smile happily."

Slowly, Iruna's eyes closed. A peaceful smile was etched on his lips. "Thank God ...."

*tiiiiiiiiittt*

The machine next to the hospital bed made a long sound. Anyone will realize that it is a bad sign. Both of Otomura's eyes widened after hearing the voice.

"Don't!!"

"Hey, Iruna." Othomura clasped Iruna's cold hand, hoping that a miracle would happen and her sister would come back to life. "Hey!! Our fight is not over yet, is it?! How could you go so easily?! Where is your responsibility?!"

"You said it yourself, right?! That you want to make a world where everyone can live happily!!!"

Tears began to fill Otomura's face. Hope had completely disappeared from his heart. The sisters threw their faces away, unwilling to have their grief seen, while the Doctor lowered his head wistfully.

"I'm guessing ...."

"It turns out that miracles are just nonsense."

"Sinterclass, God, God, or whatever it is."

"They don't exist."

"Nobody cares about our suffering."

"Night of Christmas, a night filled with joy and wonder for others ...."

"Maybe for me it'll forever be a cursed night."

"Maybe I will curse my own destiny every time Christmas Eve comes."

"I spent Christmas and new year that year feeling empty."

"When the new year arrives, the sound of fireworks and the trumpet blowing is no longer as lively as the previous years.”

“Of course, because my life has again been filled with black and white.”

"When Iruna died, I lost the principle of life."

"Yes, my life means nothing anymore."

"My life has become too dark. My healer is gone. I want to end my life, but I don't want to go to hell."

"'Damn. I can't live like this.' That's what I thought at the time."

"And I finally found him ...."

"My new life goal . is to take revenge against those who betrayed and abused me."

"I tracked all of them down and killed them. It put me in jail, but I don't care. What matters is that my goal has been achieved. I'm already satisfied. The vengeance that gnawed at my heart is avenged."

"I thought I'd spend the rest of my youth in prison quietly, but then this shitty project came along."

"Yes, the Purity Online project."

——————————————————————————

"Hey, Otomura!"

"Afrau!!!"

"Afrau!!!"

Otomura was awakened from his daydream. He has returned to reality. All those scenes weren't real, just a bunch of movie flashes from his memory. Right now, he was in the middle of the forest with Yuukaru, looking at the half moon and the stars that were emitting multicolored light. He looked to the side. Yuukaru was beside him. The girl was shaking her shoulders.

"You okay? From then on you daydreamed," said the golden-haired girl as boat.

"I'm fine" Otomura said.

"There was no sign of anyone else nor any settlement at all. Do we have to spend the night in the woods, huh?"

"Byeah," said Otomura. "But we don't have mats or sleeping bags, you know. Who knows what animal will be roaring your body later when you are fast asleep. Maybe a lizard, a frog, a tarantula, or worse ...."

"Peach."

"NO WANTUUUU!!!" yuukaru screamed with a loud voice, making some night beasts straight out of their nests, thinking there was danger coming.

Otomura chuckled with a face expression that looked ignorant. "Joking around."

"You are!!" Yuukaru puffed her cheeks in annoyance while hitting Otomura's shoulder. "Basic ...."

“Why ... am I so relaxed when talking to this girl?”

“What is it because at a glance his face is similar to Iruna?”

“It seems I still can't forget it, yes. My sister that one. Though I have tried my hardest to erase that dark memory from my memory.”

*srak*

Suddenly, a glance near the two young men swayed. Realizing that it might be a danger, the two immediately put on a standby stance. Otomura took the sharp stone he had used to skin the rabbit and grasped it tightly. If it's just a rabbit, a deer, or a horse, anyway, it's still mending. That tiger? Or lions? Or worse, the forest bandits? They don't carry any weapons. The only thing that can be used as a weapon is a sharp stone that is being held by Otomura. However, such a small weapon would obviously lose if the opponent was a sword or spear.

The dark green tinge was blistered, revealing the true figure of the owner of the voice. It turned out to be neither a savage beast nor a bandit. Only a middle-aged man with hair and mustache had already bleached.

“What are you doing in the forest these nights?” he said with a friendly smile. “You got lost, huh?”

Yuukaru smiled happily as he did not have to sleep in the grass with the insects. “Finally!!!”

“Freedom has come!!!”
