Day 45: Who Did It? (Part 1)
"Nh ...." Ryugai moved from his lying position to a sitting position. It's still dark outside because it's only three in the morning. The young man was in the clinic bed of the magic academy after undergoing treatment last night. He saw his friend sleeping, resting on the bed beside him. His friend's wounds looked worse than the ones he got. "It looks like Goddess Fortuna is blessing me" he said with a smile.
The smile was then replaced by a serious face. "But, I didn't think he'd go this far. I thought it was just bullshit because a week had passed and nothing had happened. Damnit. I should've told him to confess to using that evidence."
"Hm? Where's the doctor? It's gone, isn't it? Then, this is a chance!! Maybe this evidence could help the investigation. Good thing I always brought him in just in case, and it looks like this evidence was not impacted by the explosion. Fortunately there was black paper stored in the house, although I did not know who the owner was and where he got it from. Maybe the system from this VRMMORPG game provides it."

Security Spy Lamp (SSL) Documentation Room, Zanz Magic Academy, Arafubi Village.
"Hm ...." A moustached man wearing a police uniform with a bright red sword emblem and dark blue armor on his back was also inscribed with A.C.P. (Arafubi Central Police) under the emblem muttered softly. The view is focused on magic screens that show the results of recordings from SSL (Security Spy Lamp) or surveillance lights that are in each room. The function of this lamp is more or less the same as CCTV. The SSL lights were in every room in the Zanz Magic Academy and were created with the recorder function of the communication magic embedded within his body. Disguised as a magic lamp so as not to look suspicious even though it is installed in all rooms.

"Play SSL recordings in other rooms when the locker explodes!!" the Inspector's Order.
"All right!!" The SSL operator nods the sign of understanding, then rushes to play the requested recording.
"At the time of the incident, there were three people in the school besides the two victims. Two people were working on a remedial in their class and one person was in the toilet" the operator said. "One person escapes the charges, because SSL's position does not back him up. If he casts explosive magic, it'll be discovered."
"Then those in the toilet also escaped the charges" the inspector said. "Because in order to cast magic, he had to take out the magic wand he had hidden inside the uniform. If the stick is reflected in the mirror and the image is recorded in SSL, he's done."
"True, too" said another of his men. "Then the remaining child is the culprit. SSL's location was behind him, so he could secretly take out a mini magic wand from inside his uniform and cast magic without being discovered."
"Truely, this boy mastered dark-type explosive magic" said the headmaster. "He's from the same class as Ryugai. If not mistaken, his name is Genbu Mikazaki. I heard he has a personal grudge against Ryugai."
"That means he's definitely the culprit. But, hard, yeah." The inspector fingered his chin. "If it's just like this, he won't confess. We need proof. The final beam of light that will illuminate the red thread hidden in the deepest part of the shadow of the mystery."
The sound makes the attention of everyone in the SSL documentation room diverted. It appeared that Ryugai was walking with somewhat limp steps entering the room. The bandages still bandage his wounds. A smile was engraved on his face.
"Ryu-Ryugai!!" The headmaster approached the student. "Why did you come here? Isn't your wound not completely healed yet?"
"I came to deliver the truth to the police" Ryugai said.
"Bringing truth? Whatchu mean?"
"Actually ..., before the bomb terror occurred, I received a threatening letter. However, I ignored it because I thought it was just a prankster. When I went outside to go to school, I found this evidence." Ryugai put on a glove, reached into his pocket, then took out a scrap of black paper folds and unfolded it. There are traces of the sole of a shoe printed there.
"These shoes don't match the soles of the shoes in my house. I remember these traces. When it was raining and I went to school alone, I saw Genbu was stepping into this school. At that time, he and I came in the morning so there was no trace of any other shoes. This footprint is similar to ..the mud trail from Genbu shoe soles printed on the floor at that time.
