"Hosh ..., hosh .... Away too ...."
Right now, Yamamura was stepping on a sly foot because of exhaustion. His body was slightly bent and flooded with sweat. He had been walking for about an hour and a half nonstop, but still had not made it out of the forest.
"It looks like I won't die by a monster attack ..., deh ...," he said stammeringly. "But I will die of exhaustion ...."
The boy felt unable to walk any further. Finally, he decided to rest for a while in the shadow under a lush tree.
"Capek once ..," he lamented while sitting and stomping his two achy legs. "Where am I thirsty too and around here there is no source of drinking water. Well, at least I was lucky for not meeting any beasts at all during the trip."
While filling his lungs with air, Yamamura circulated his gaze around. Accidentally, he saw a tiger camouflaged behind a green plant not far from where he was sitting. The big cat's eyes looked extremely sharp, as if ready to pounce whenever Yamamura turned his back.
Seeing the predator that was eyeing him, the golden-haired boy was surprised.
"Okay, I pulled my words. Today I was unlucky. Really fucking."
Slowly, he stood up and stepped back without taking his eyes off the tiger. Of course he did not look directly into the tiger's eyes. That can be considered a challenge.
"Reverse and run is stupid. He will definitely immediately think of me as a prey, "inner Yamamura. "I better back off slowly, then run away. I hope that big striped cat doesn't follow me."
The hope of the little adventurer was not granted. The tiger walked out from behind the plant and followed it with a fierce look.
"Not working, huh? Well, then, what about this?"
Quickly, Yamamura raised an arrow in each of his palms, then grasped it. He beat the two metal arrows to each other, creating a loud sound. The goal is to intimidate the tiger.
The tiger retreated for a moment, before finally stepping forward again while growling. His eyes were as fierce and sharp as before.
"Still not working, huh? Seems so hungry, this tiger is no longer concerned with danger and can no longer be frightened by loud noises. It's just trying to scare her."
"If this, how?"
Yamamura stuffed his two arrows into the inventory, took out one of the drop items he got from the goblin in the Great Wall Dungeon, then threw it behind the tiger. The intelligent boy plans to distract the tiger and climb a nearby tree to save himself. But again he failed.
"Daddy, here. This tiger really won't take his eyes off me."
Yamamura pulled out his sword and prepared to defend himself from the attack that the tiger was about to launch before him.
"If this is the case ..., the only way to save yourself is .. fight!!!"
*GRAUR!!!*
Along with a loud roar, the tiger leapt towards Yamamura and was about to pounce on him. However, the attack was successfully repelled even with great difficulty.
"Damn!!" grumbled the boy while trying to maintain the position of his sword. The tiger's sharp claws inflicted some severe longitudinal wounds on the top of his arms, but his sword prevented the tiger's jaw from closing.
"I thought this wouldn't be an easy fight!! Red Gleam!!!"
Yamamura fired a red laser right at the tiger's eyes. It was not enough to make him blind, but enough to irritate his eyes for quite a long time.
Seeing the tiger rolling on the ground while attacking blindly, Yamamura retreated a few steps back. As fast as lightning, he took his bow and raised an arrow.
"It's a good time to try out my new skills. Pyro Arrow!!"
A flame appeared on the tip of Yamamura's arrow and instantly spread, enveloping the entire surface of the arrow. The arrow shot rapidly towards the tiger's weak point, its neck. The flames immediately spread and killed the huge feline.
(Note: Feline means an animal belonging to the cat family.)
"Finally it's done too."
The child adventurer sat in the grass while exhaling a sigh of relief. He began to use healing-type skills to heal the wounds of the tiger's scars.
"So morning I had an unsettling nightmare, then had to walk for an hour and a half nonstop without eating and drinking. Now I'm being attacked by a tiger. My fate is ape, anyway."
"Well, at least now I'm getting groceries. Even if I don't know if the meat is good or not ...."
After resting and healing the wound for a few minutes, Yamamura stood up and approached the body of the tiger he had killed. In that instant, he realized something.
"This tiger, really, is so small, huh? I think it's even smaller than the smallest tiger on Earth right now. Does he have no competitors here? But, last night when I was almost asleep I heard a wolf howl, really."
A moment later, growls sounded in quick succession, as if answering the question. Nine tigers of the same species jumped out from behind the bushes. They seem to be very angry.
"So so, yeah ...." Yamamura again prepared his fighting position while retreating slowly. "So that's why they can compete with wolves despite their small stature."
The adventurer boy tried to laugh at the species name of the tigers through their status and saw the name 'Colonius Tiger'.
"So this tiger in the forest isn't a solitary animal, huh? I should have looked at the status of the tiger before I killed him. Agh, shit!! I was so focused on finding a way to save myself that I forgot that the tiger here might be different because this world isn't Earth."
"Against one tail alone I've been overwhelmed, let alone nine tails like this. Shit .... "
"It's urgent .... Really bad!!!"
