Purity Online - The World For The Fallens
[Season 2] Chapter 56: The Bushida Family

"Being a fighter, yeah ...."

Senshi's two golden eyes glared out the window, staring at the night scene.

"Then, it was my dream."

"Have you?" Yamamura raised both eyebrows. "That means it's not anymore?"

"Yes ...." Senshi stepped closer to the window, then felt the window glass. "That's how."

"Why? Your good attack moves will be in vain, you know!" Yamamura.

"It would be useless if used against a wild animal. After all, throwing a hoe with enough speed and precision to hit a child is not a proud achievement. Well, even though I'm still a kid myself ...."

"Just kid. I'm 12, you know!!"

"It's still a kid, isn't it?"

"It's already in the early teenage stage, you know. Uh, briefly. Why is the topic of conversation so off the mark?"

"Where I know. Don't ask me."

For a moment, the silence and the sound of the night beast filled the atmosphere, before Yamamura finally reopened his voice.

"Hey, Senshi. Did you ever fight to make your dream come true before you threw it away?"

"Fight? It was something futile" Senshi said with a face implying despair.

"But-"

"Yamamura, let me tell you one thing. Not all dreams come true, even after they've been fought for."

Senshi's face looked increasingly gloomy. He lowered his head.

"At the moment when I failed to protect them, I had already decided to stop fighting. I've thrown away all my dreams and idealism."

"'They'? Who do you mean?" ask Yamamura.

Before Senshi could answer, a voice had already interjected.

"Food is coming!!!"

The two children immediately turned to the source of the voice which turned out to be the older brother of Senshi, the brown-haired teenager.

"Eh? Did I cut your chat?" the teenager asked while putting the food he was carrying on the table.

"No" Yamamura said.

"Ah, yes. We haven't met, have we? I'm Yamarashi, Bushida Yamarashi. This is my sister, Bushida Senshi. What's yourname?" the teenager said kindly as he extended his hand.

"Bushida, yes .... A name that is perfect for a family of fighters. Unfortunately, Senshi's behavior is precisely the opposite of that of a warrior," Yamamura's inner self.

"Np? Why are you quiet? What's up?"

The speech made the young adventurer realized from his daydream.

"Ah, sorry. My name"

"Yamura."

"Well, whoa. You guys already acquainted? Senshi, so it turns out you've been secretly good at getting along, huh?" the brown-haired teenage goda named Yamarashi.

"I didn't ask to get acquainted. He told me the name himself" Senshi said, still in an icy tone.

"Rather than talking about it, I'd rather just eat it." He continued his words while walking towards the dining table.

"Oh, yes, Yamamura. We have one empty room. You can sleep there" Yamarashi told Yamamura.

"Wait a minute, brother!!" exciting Senshi. "You want this uninvited guest to spend the night in that room?!"

"Yes .... Rather than unused it is better to use it," said Yamarashi. "After all, I don't think he's gonna stay here very long."

"I still mind!!"

"Come on. Don't be so rude."

"Curtain! Whatever. But if something bad happens, I don't want responsibility."

Yamamura and Yamarashi left the dining room and climbed the stairs, heading towards the second floor.

"Why did he get so angry just because of room problems? There must be something behind this, "inner Yamamura.

As the golden-haired boy tried to analyze the answer to his question, Yamarashi opened the conversation.

"Sorry, yeah. Senshi is like that."

"I'm not offended, though. I was just wondering why he got so angry just because I occupied an empty room."

"It's not an ordinary room."

"Eh?"

Hearing that answer, Yamamura turned to look towards Yamarashi.

"That was the room of our late parents" continued the brunette teenager.

"Well, please" Yamamura said.

"Is this what he means by 'them'?" his inner.

"What was the death of your parents that made Senshi such a cold and desperate person?"

"Actually .., not just because of that, but also because of me."

Yamarashi lowered his head in sadness and regret. He smiled wryly. The two of them have now arrived at the doorstep of Senshi and Yamarashi's parents' room.

"I am .. who showed him the gate of darkness."

To be continued

What did Senshi mean when he said he failed to protect his parents? What caused Senshi and Yamarashi's parents to die? And why did Yamarashi blame himself for the cold and desperate attitude displayed by Senshi? What happened to the Bushida family? Look forward to the answer in the next chapter :3
