"Year by year passed. I'm now in High School. However, my mindset is still the same as before. I still think Santa really exists. I still wait for him every time Christmas Eve comes."
"Until .. that day arrived ...."
"The day I realized .. that the magic of Christmas is just a lie."
"Christmas Eve when I was 16. My parents went for Christmas while I stayed home because I had a fever. They told me to go to bed soon, but I quietly left my room and went to the living room to wait for Santa's arrival until 12pm, as usual."
"Yet ..., Santa didn't come."
"Hour 10 nights. My foster parents haven't come home yet either. My phone suddenly rang. I raised it too. At first, I thought it was just a phone call from my parents telling me they were going to be late or something. I never thought this would happen again. I'm not ready to face all this."
"The call was from the hospital informing me that my parents had a traffic accident and that they are in critical condition."
"Without thinking about anything else, and without even saying the phrase 'thank you for the information' or 'I will go there soon,' I immediately put my phone on the couch with the phone still connected right after the caller told me his hospital address. I don't care even if the hospital will probably find me disrespectful."
"I rushed into my shoes, locked the door, ran out of the house, and broke through the snow. I don't care even if I have a fever. My mind was filled with panic and fear. I don't care about everything. I just want to see my parents soon. I don't want Christmas to take away my most precious treasure once again."
Immediately, Yamamura's vision showed the figure of a high school teenager walking on a crowded street, breaking through the snow without wearing any warm clothes. Sometimes he almost fell because of the dizziness that hit his head. Snow was dirtying his clothes. His consciousness was many times almost gone, but he continued to defend it with great difficulty.
Other pedestrians advised him to rest at home because the condition of his body is not fit, some even offered to take him home. However, the teenager ignored them all. The screams from the inner red-haired teenager sounded very clearly.
"Please!!!"
"Please, not now!!!"
"Don't take this happiness away from me again!! Please!!!"
"This is just .. My only Christmas wish of the year!!!"
In that instant, the red-haired teenager realized what was happening. His body sagged until he fell on his knees. Both of his eyes looked at him with disbelief.
Yes .... Both of her parents adopted her.
That night, Christmas robs her of happiness once again.
The snowfall that had been quite small became increasingly heavy, and now has become a great blizzard. People rushed to shelter. The snow that lines the road is getting thicker.
Along with the light of the Christmas trees covered by white, the hope of life disappears from the teenager.
"This ... is not a miracle at all ...."
"This should not happen on a happy and beautiful day like Christmas."
"People say Christmas is always full of happiness and wonder, but ...."
"Christmas this time .. is a curse."
