Day 63: Sakura Tree (Part 10)

"Thank you for the food!!" iruna exclaimed cheerfully while putting the fork and spoon on the plate, then wiping her mouth using a tissue.

"Fastly the mood was cheerful again ...." A sweat ran down Otomura's forehead."Yeah, what can I do. He's jolly, anyway."

"Can we start now?" ask Iruna.

"Yes" said Otomura, lifting the dirty dishes from the dining table and stepping into the kitchen. "After I finish the dishwasher. We're gonna start it. The main event, your graduation."

"Good."

——————————————————————————————

One of the couches in the living room seemed to have been removed and a study table took its place. Another study table seemed to be located several tens of centimeters in front of him. Otomura pushed Iruna's wheelchair into the living room. He placed the wheelchair behind the desk, then he walked to the other study table and stood behind him. For some reason, after getting behind the table, Otomura turned his body around.

"Ka-Kakak? Why?" The younger brother began to feel astonished because of his brother's strange behavior.

"Don't call me brother ...."

"Huh?" Iruna looked confused.

Othomura turned his body back to face Iruna. A black fake mustache was now stuck on top of his mouth. "Call me ... SHIVA!!!”

Iruna just fell silent with a look of disdain. "Not similar" he said.

*hub!!!* Otomura immediately dropped her body to the floor until her legs were riding up.

"Not similar, is it? Am I not worthy to play a teacher?" Now that silly young man's back in the corner of the room.

"Eehh, that's not what I mean, brother ...." Iruna started to misbehave. "Da-Rather than that, wouldn't it be better to finish this event first?"

"Ah, right too," Otomura said as he stood up and stepped back behind the table. Occasionally he corrected the position of his fake mustache. His face looks serious. "All right, let's start."

"Consideration, attention!! The graduation ceremony is about to begin!!!" Suddenly, Otomura took out a loudspeaker from the desk drawer and spoke in front of his speakers, making his voice sound loud to the point of deafening. Iruna had to cover both ears so that her eardrum did not break.

"Later scolded neighbor, brother!!"

"Ah, yes too." Othomura put the loudspeaker on the table, then scratched his head with a grimace.

"Where is the loudspeaker from?" Iruna was silent with sweat flowing down her forehead.

"I found it in the barn too. Ah, forget it. Let's get started. First of all, we will start from the speech of the student representative who will graduate! Please welcome, Iruna Yamato!"

"Eh? W-me?!" Iruna looked up and pointed at herself. "What am I supposed to say?"

"Look easy, don't be formal." Otomura laughed a little. "This is, isn't a real graduation ceremony."

"Good-Good."

"My name is Iruna Yamato. Before, I had a really fun day at school. But, because of a disaster, I had to lose everything. And all I have now is my brother, Otomura Yamato. He is a very mature and loving person. He was the one who took care of me and encouraged me. Thanks to him, I managed to graduate from my dark side. To my brother, I want to thank you very much!!" The last sentence was ended by Iruna by bowing her body deeply.

"He was the one who always encouraged me. I owe him. You stupid little brother."

"Next is the submission of the graduation charter!! Iruna Yamato, welcome forward!!"

"Yes." Yeah." Iruna moved the wheel from her wheelchair to the table of Otomura, then accepted the charter and looked at it. A smile was engraved on his face.

"What do you think?" ask Otomura.

"Good," said Iruna. "Even though the charter is handwritten, it has many doodles, and many of its writings are obscure."

"You're complimenting or insulting, anyway? I've had a hard time preparing all this alone because I want to make a surprise for you, you know!" Otomura directly hump in the corner.

"Eh, I don't mean it." For the second time, Iruna misbehaves her brother's behavior. "Ah, yes, there's something I forgot to give."

"Huh?" Otomura whose shoulders in the corner instantly rose to his feet and darted behind his desk as fast as lightning. "Something? Whatchu mean?"

Iruna reached into something from her clothing pocket. "It!!" he said while handing over a cherry blossom to his brother and smiling cheerfully.

"Eh? Sakura?” Otomura grabbed the flower and looked at it. “It's from the tree in front of the house?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"When did you take it?"

"Yesterday. Just in case I didn't wither, I put it in a vase of water in my room."

"Ah, I seem to have missed seeing it." Otomura looked out the window. A cherry tree loomed high in the courtyard, showing off its beautiful pink petals and unyielding despite being constantly buffeted by the wind. "No feeling, yes. Now he's that big. We used to plant it, right?"

"Yes." Yeah." Iruna nodded slowly. "Joint mom and dad."

"It's so beautiful, yeah." The little girl stared at the cherry tree.

“The flowers are amazing,” says Otomura. “Continue trying to survive in the twigs despite being blown by strong winds from here and there. Once they fall, they do not give up and still try to benefit by beautifying the streets.”

“Ya,” says Iruna. “I hope we can be like them.”

“Ah, yes. It's time to take you for a walk outside.” Othomura turned his gaze away from the branches of the cherry trees that were unceasingly swaying in the wind. “Awhile, yes. I'll clean up all this first.”

“Yes. It feels like a long time ago, yes, I did not take a walk outside.”

“It's the right time. Beautiful cherry blossom scenery will spoil our hearts.”

“Wah, I'm so impatient!!”

“At that time, I was thinking ...”

“If only, our days would be beautiful and colorful like this forever ...”

“But, it turns out this peace is the beginning of a thunderstorm.”

“I never expected it.”

“That year was also.”

“I will lose ...my most valuable treasure ...”
