Day 62: News of Victory (Part 18)

Midori Cliff B6 is part of a refugee camp located in the middle and is located the farthest from the edge of the cliff. Everyone who was there seemed worried. Some looked at the sky anxiously, some desperately praying, some trying to keep an optimistic mind, some trying, and there were also those who could only curl up with trembling bodies inside their tents from half-dead fear. Even just the sound of a step or a leg stomp was able to make the heart belonging to this group covered in fear jump. It was as if the sound of human footsteps was more terrifying than ghosts.

Yeah, it's natural, anyway. Although the refugee camp is protected by four battalions of troops in the four cardinal directions, there is no guarantee that the 99-race monster army will not be able to reach this place. They had no idea how powerful the monsters were. It could be that the strength of the enemy army exceeds the strength of the army of the human race. Their lives may be lost at any time. It's really a situation on the edge, between life and death.

"Sir Village Chief!!!"

A man ran from camp area 4 to this part 5 refugee camp. Sweat flooded his body. He stopped and bent his body, then tried to regulate his breathing by taking a deep breath and breathing fresh air. He was almost out of breath.

The Village Chief who happened to be outside the tent to gaze at the glittering stars beautifully turned his head when he heard the exclamation. So do the refugees, both inside and outside the tent. Their attention was all immediately distracted by the man's voice.

"What's wrong? Don't rush that. Set your breath first" said the Village Chief, handing a bottle of animal skin full of water to the man.

The man immediately accepted it and downed it, then rubbed the water attached to his lips using his wrist. He handed the bottle back to the Village Chief.

"Thank you, Chief."

"So? What do you want to say?" asked the middle-aged man who served as the Village Chief while taking back his leather bottle.

"Pe-War!! The war is over ... with victory on our side!!! The Hero Ryugai has defeated Greed's strongest weapon!!!" the man shouted with a happy smile. "Now, the army is heading here to take us back to the village, because it could be that the peace agreement agreement agreement is just a trap set by the enemy forces."

"REally?!" The village chief was surprised. "Is that true?!"

"Yes." Yeah." The man nodded. "The truth can be guaranteed!!"

The atmosphere that was once tense is now immediately liquid and replaced by happiness. Excited cheers and shouts beat out the sounds of insects and night animals that once ruled the atmosphere. Yurato's grandfather, Otomura, and Yuukaru who heard the news cheered with excitement.

"That means, Ryugai did it, right?" otomura said with a smile showing off his white teeth.

"Yes, he'll be back here soon, and we'll be back together to Arafubi Village!!" sahut Yuukaru cheerfully. "I thought he wouldn't die that easily in a war!! He is great!!!"

"Yes, yeah. Your boyfriend is great," teased Otomura.

"I've told you many times, she's not my boyfriend!!" Yuukaru puffed his cheeks, making Grandpa Yurato and Otomura laugh.

"You should welcome him when he comes later" Grandpa Yurato said.

"Yes." Yeah." Yuukaru looked at the beautiful starry sky with a smile still drawn on his face. "I'll give him the best welcome!!"
