Last day of the Purity Online experiment.
Sixty-three days had passed since Yuukaru and Otomura first set foot into the world of Purity Online. Which means, their beta test is over. They must return to the real world.
The moon is nearing the top of the deep blue sky, which indicates that the 63rd day is coming to an end. Yuukaru, Otomura, Grandpa Yurato, and the villagers gathered outside Arafubi village, close to the village gate. Led by Grandpa Yurato as the village chief, they all bid farewell to Yuukaru and Otomura who will soon leave this world and return to the real world.
"So, you guys are leaving?" ask Grandpa Yurato.
"Yes" Otomura said. "We must return to our country of origin, for we are only travelers. We can't stay in this village forever."
"So ...," said Grandpa Yurato. "In that case, we won't stand in your way. Take care of your health."
Yuukaru looked at the entire citizens gathered to say goodbye to him. A friendly smile was etched on his face. "Thank you so much for all the kindness and help you've done. I've never met anyone as friendly and as good as you guys before. Especially Grandpa Yurato, the Village Chief. If grandfather hadn't come, we would have been lost forever in that forest."
"That time I just happened to pass by," Grandpa Yurato said with a smile. "I think anyone would do that if it were me."
"And ...." Yuukaru turned his gaze towards his schoolmates at the Zanz Magic Academy. "To my friends at the academy, thank you for being such a good friend."
"Yes, yes," said one of Yuukaru's classmates. "Don't praise that, you idiot. You think we'd be stunned, do you? Haha. It won't. Don't forget to take care of your health, huh?”
Yuukaru's female friend stepped forward, then groped her shoulders. "Good in there, Yuukaru."
"Yes" said Yuukaru. "certain."
“Healthy, old grandpa.” Otomura stepped forward, then reached out his hand with a smile drawn on his lips. Grandpa Rato immediately returned the helping hand. They both shake hands.
“Basic. Although two months have passed, you still have no morals, yes.” Grandpa Yurato chuckled.
"Then we say goodbye." Otomura stopped the shaman's activities and waved his hand. "See you soon, everyone!!”
"Yes!!"
"Till again!!"
"Good in there!!"
"Otomura, don't forget to breathe!!"
"Hey, what kind of farewell is that?!"
"Lha? 'Kan, the important thing is to express concern."
"Not so, stupid!! It should be more dramatic."
"Oh, so we have to build a reminder?"
"As far as you are."
"Hey, hey, I'm just kidding."
As the citizens and friends of Yuukaru and Otomura at the academy waved their arms while saying farewell words, Otomura and Yuukaru turned their bodies around. A few seconds later, the typical sound of the system is heard.
Along with the sound, a pair of system windows appeared right in front of Yuukaru and Otomura with the words ‘LOG OUT’ clearly marked in the middle. The two young men reached out their hands. Show them ready to touch ‘LOG OUT.’ However, there was something from within the heart that stopped their hand movements.
“Who by returning to the real world ...our life will be better?” Yuukaru began to grow. The two camps inside him began to struggle. Otomura also seems to be experiencing the same thing.
“The rotten world is too harsh for us. I don't think we're gonna be able to hold on. Maybe, actually we are not destined to live in that world.”
“The world is perfect. Filled with kind and friendly people, even though they are actually data sets. This world is the one that fits us best. Our destiny is to be in this world. We won't get happiness if we live in the real world. Eternal happiness we can only get here.”
“Arun from destiny? I guess not. This decision is more to ‘change destiny.’”
“I hope, this way our lives will be better. Probably, this is the best choice for us.”
“Tetap stay here ... I think is the right choice ...”
The parting cries heard from behind them both began to vanish, replaced by the silence and sounds of the night bug. The residents began to be astonished to see Yuukaru and Otomura who were still silent in place when they said they would go home.
“What's up?” ask Grandpa Yurato.
“Everything ..” Yuukaru turned his body. His golden hair fluttered slightly in the night wind. “We think ... we will continue to stay here. Our destiny is here. This is where we can find eternal happiness. Besides, we don't want to make you sad.”
“Really?!”
“HOREEE!!”
The academy friends from Yuukaru and Otomura cheered happily while toting each other, while the citizens just smiled. Grandpa Yurato also smiled happily at that.
“What's okay?” ask the middle-aged man.
“Ya,” Otomura said with a smile. “We will stay here forever.”

“After that, Brother Otomura told me about his little sister. She also asked me to be her foster sister to treat her longing for her dead sister. I had no reason to refuse it so I accepted it.”
“That's the story ... about how this virtual family of ours was formed ...”
“And that's ...”
“A story about how I and Brother Otomura met ...”
“And how we reject destiny ...”
