Day 63: Graduation (Part 8)

"Two years have passed."

"Two years filled with endless suffering, despair, trouble, and obstacles."

"However, along with my sister, Iruna, it's been a fun year."

"I'm 15 years old now, while Iruna is 12. The day before, I was attending my Junior High graduation ceremony, and on the same day, the place where Iruna went to school used to seem to be holding a graduation ceremony."

"Yes. That was supposed to be the day she graduated from elementary school."

"But he didn't get that happiness."

"He deserves it."

"It should have been yesterday that she was with her Elementary friends, joking, laughing, and chatting merrily for the last time, instead of waiting for me to come home from the graduation ceremony alone at home while lamenting her bitter destiny."

"But I don't think it's too late."

"If the world does not allow him to attend the graduation ceremony, then I myself will approve my sister with a small ceremony. Well .., since Iruna dropped out of school, there should be nothing to celebrate, anyway .... However, what I'm about to celebrate isn't my sister's graduation from school."

"Play .., my sister's graduation from her own dark side. It took a big fight, so I think it should be celebrated. The battle inside her was not over yet, but at least positive emotions had already taken over most of her body. That's worth appreciating."

"Alright, enough bases. Come on

start working!!"

15 March 2070.

"Hhhhmm ...."

A golden-haired little girl tied up model twintails had just woken up from her sleep. That girl is Iruna. He yawned and stretched his body as he blinked his eyes, staring at the cherry blossoms blooming outside the window.

"It's so beautiful." A sweet smile began to be etched on his face. "If only I could look at them up close. But unfortunately, I could only look at them from behind the window glass."

"Yes already. There's no point in complaining about and condemning my destiny" he continued. "Rather than complaining, I better keep fighting and trying to recover from this paralysis sooner."

"By the way, where's brother, huh?" Iruna said as she stared at the golden-framed clock with a picture of a white-haired rabbit hanging on the wall. It's 07:30. "Normally at this hour he's waking me up for breakfast. Is he gone, huh?"

A few seconds later, Otomura suddenly opened the room door with a carefree and excited face, even impressed as if he was pounding the wooden door.

"Why-Sister?! What's up?!" Iruna felt her heart jump as if it was in shock. "Don't surprise me, dong! I thought what was wrong."

Otomura crossed his arms in the doorway. A passionate grin was drawn on his face. "Hey, Iruna. You remember what day it was yesterday?" tanyakanya.

"Day ...." Iruna palpated her chin using her index finger. His gaze turned upwards, seemingly trying to remember.

"Thursday."

*hub!!!* Otomura immediately dropped himself to the floor until his legs were thrown up. "Not that ...."

"Ehehehe, sorry, sister. I don't remember." Iruna gave a small laugh while scratching the back of her head that did not itch. "What day is it?"

"Alright, then, one more clue." Otomura brandished his index finger to form the number one signal. "Spring!! It's spring, right? And spring is identical to-"

*hoofid!!*

For the second time, Otomura dropped his body to the floor with both feet riding upwards. "It's true, but it's not ...."

"Dam. I think he remembered, but he hasn't."

"Ah, not really, huh?" Iruna laughed again softly while scratching the back of her head. "Then what? Sorry, I don't remember."

*plaque!!* Otomura patted her forehead. "Your graduation day, did you forget?" said it.

"Eh?"

"YAHHHHH!!!" Iruna's eyes instantly widened as soon as she remembered it. "Sorry, I forgot." For the third time, the little girl scratched her head.

"Basic senile. Though just yesterday I went to the graduation ceremony," Inner Otomura.

"If only ..., I could come to the graduation ceremony ...." Iruna lowered her head in a full of delicacy. She smiled smirk.

"You don't have to be sad anymore, Iruna," Otomura said. "It's a little late, anyway, but now we're going to have a ceremony to celebrate your graduation."

"Hm?" Iruna raised her head. The sadness that was depicted on his face was now replaced by a confused face. "What does brother mean? Isn't the graduation ceremony over from yesterday?"

"That's, right, their ceremony. If your graduation ceremony is just about to begin" Otomura said. "Yes .., just a small celebration, anyway .... It's too late, too. But it's better to be late than never, right?"

"But I don't go to school anymore. I haven't learned anything in years. I definitely didn't meet the graduation criteria" Iruna said.

"Stupid." Otomura chuckled amusedly. "Your graduation criteria are different from theirs. Not academically. Academically maybe you didn't graduate, but you've graduated from 'that.'"

"'That?'" Confusion increasingly implied on Iruna's face. "What do you mean by 'that?'"

"You've graduated from yourself" Otomura explained. "For so long, you've been trying hard to neutralize the negative sides of yourself. You graduated from yourself. Although your life is hard and painful, but you never stop fighting against your dark side, and now the positive side of you has taken over a large part of your soul. I think it's worth celebrating."

"Oh, yeah." Iruna nodded her head calmly while smiling. "By the way, all the compliments you had made me feel ashamed." The little girl's face began to turn red.

"Not to be shy. That's the truth, isn't it?" Otomura crossed the door, heading for the bed of the younger brother. He held out his hand gently. "Come on."

Iruna received her brother's hand. He then stood up and sat in a wheelchair assisted by his brother. Otomura pushed the wheelchair. Slowly, the wheels turned, moving towards the dining room.

"I've prepared special dishes for today, you know."

"Eh? Did ya? My sister is the best!!"

"Ah, it's normal."
