The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 131 - Robe Rope

Xin Chen had reported to Lan Zhuxian to immediately find out the whereabouts of the Thunder Fox stealth gem. As long as he was not in the Shang Empire later, the chances of the gem being here were indeed small. His departure was only a matter of hours away, the young man was going to the border of the city to meet Luo Li.

Before that he said goodbye, Xin Chen had already been honest with Ren Yuan about the reason for going there. And just as Ren Yuan always did, he cried over the departure of his second son somehow for the last time. Xin Chen had already given his understanding so that the woman did not feel guilty constantly. And also say goodbye to Ye Long who was now teary, the dragon tried to embrace him as humans do.

"Returned quickly. My stomach will miss you."

"You don't miss me, do you?"

Ye Long shook his head. Xin Fai next to him patted the dragon's head, "While he will accompany me on some missions in this Empire. We exchanged friends" he said, smiling widely, so that his son would leave with light steps. Xin Chen nodded as he looked at Lang who had prepared for an adventure in the Wei Empire that was confirmed to be full of distress. Xin Fai herself wanted her second son not to think about her family being sad about her passing. Xin Zhan didn't show much emotion. He just said a slack.

"Go, if you fall, wake up."

"I knew. There's no way I'm waiting for Emperor Qin to help me wake up."

"Then invite those elites as well" Xin Zhan said. Still so satisfied with Emperor Qin's decision showed his younger brother to the position of Pillar of Shadow. The new position was decided by Emperor Qin.

Xin Chen hugged his mother one last time before he left, Xin Fai patted her on the head twice. And lastly the young man looked at Xin Zhan, saying nothing.

When his steps had reached the fence of the house, Xin Zhan confronted him.

"You forgot something." His hands as white as the undead thrust out a mussel necklace. Xin Chen recalled him releasing it and keeping it on his room table for fear of being damaged in Ye Long's fist.

"wear. I wear it too." Xin Zhan showed me a clam necklace that he had tied around his neck. "If anything happens to you, I'll definitely feel it. Take care of yourself."

Xin Chen smiled, briefly embracing his twin and then waved his hand before they actually left the house.

Lang returns with his adventure of becoming a Wolves Wanderer. The name he liked the most, a pride for him as a wanderer. He was wearing a worn-out bag that Xin Chen had been keeping since the last time the young man left with the Lightning Fox. The second step stopped when he reached a bridge surrounded by giant trees and became a river link.

A young man with a cover and a white robe was waiting there. He seemed to be aware of the presence of the two of them, as the young man directly faced towards Xin Chen and Lang.

"Your guys are finally coming."

"You've been waiting a long time."

"No, I just arrived. About three hours ago," Luo Li said. Lang grunted. "One person is excited."

"I have to monitor a few things. Because it arrived early. Can we move now, sir? The fear of guarding is getting tighter and we have no chance of going in peace."

Xin Chen nodded as he said, "Call Chen. Don't be so formal with me."

"Good, Chen."

"That goes for you Lang." Xin Chen looked at Lang who was just putting on a stupefied face.

Xin Chen smiled bitterly. Maybe this is what his father always felt when dealing with Lang. The wolf's mouth is always right and always hurts others.

"Before that" he said. "We will stop by the Valley of the Gods, there is a headquarters still standing there. I will conduct a funeral service for my comrades from the Four Surveillance Units in honor of their service in the war in the Valley of the Gods."

Luo Li tried to understand, after all if only a few hours they still had enough time.

Xin Chen did not expect, even though the young man had no vision but his running speed was incredible. He could travel from city to city without the slightest obstacle. Luo Li explained all her life she had learned how to deal with this flaw. Where when the sound comes out, the reflection of the sound will give a picture of his vision.

It wasn't easy, but Luo Li succeeded. Every time he set foot and made a noise the whole dark path began to bring out certain lines.

Such a quick journey immediately led the three to the headquarters of the Four Surveillance Units shrouded in black fog.

Thousands of horses have been rested in the camp. Some of the damaged gates and guards have been repaired. It signified that Huo Rong and Shui had moved since a few days ago to rebuild the Four Surveillance Units. The troops had returned to the base, led by Lan Zhuxian. They were waiting for Xin Chen's arrival.

Huo Rong who was standing at the very front smiled in passing. He had just let out a sound when Xin Chen was right in front of him.

"A wolf? Not that dragon anymore?"

"There are a few reasons. We don't have much time. Hey, have you prepared for what I said?" Xin Chen called out to a man holding a spear. He marked that face, the man he had a conversation with the other day about the Wall of Respect.

"Of course I have, Chief."

He immediately led Xin Chen to the end of the headquarters, the part with the most strict guard. There, stood a five-meter-high wall. The names of their fallen comrades were inscribed with the tip of a knife. Then they were crossed out, symbolizing they were gone.

In each name there is a small dagger. Some of the daggers there were tied to their relics. Like a headband, a tear, or just the last bottle of drink they touched.

Xin Chen raised his face. Can't believe the people of the Four Surveillance Units did their orders wholeheartedly. This Wall of Respect was much more beautiful than he had expected. So big and beautiful too. And their memories will always be eternal on this wall. Xin Chen clapped his hands.

"What's your name?"

"Qixuan, my name is Qixuan, Chairman." He's bowed a few times. "Good job, man. This is the best gift for them. The reward for their hard work so far ..."

Xin Chen walked over, finding one name that had been crossed out on the bottom wall.

Bai Huang's.

The young man went to the family and apologized. His son was crying, but he was firm. There were no excessive roars or sobs, just like Bai Huang's wife. The young man took out a white rope that was a tie of clothes belonging to Bai Huang. Tie his robe of greatness as the Imperial Pillar just yet. Xin Chen tied up dead, smilingly staring at all the names.

"Great heroes should rest in the best places. Your bodies may have been snatched away by the ferocious flames in the Valley of the Gods. But your spirit is still burning, with us here."
