The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 215 - Against Emperor V

Water drops fell, one by one causing a recurring echo. The eyes were closed, slowly opened weakly. Blood had entered his petals, the pain no longer felt like before. Hollowly. Xin Chen didn't even know if he was still alive or not, just a faint commotion sounded.

He could see his right hand, losing power while despair began to make him feel useless. Qingou was going to come out and kill many humans, Xin Chen was worried that she was late as that person said, until her time came she would not be able to save her family and everyone from this frightening disaster.

"If you were me ... What are you gonna do?" Xin Chen spoke to himself, imagining the red-eyed figure being nearby. That person had experienced this plague in the past, and now if everything he feared had really happened, Xin Chen had no idea what to do.

That fear numbed him, Qingou started to tear apart any humans she encountered in the back room of the Laboratory. The human remains trapped in the building. A splash of blood soaked the wall, Xin Chen could hear one very begging scream.

"Help me! Please ...!"

The woman was with a small child, she wanted to escape but was separated from the entourage and was hindered by Xin Chen's fight and infected it. She ran fast towards Xin Chen while holding her crying son, only 6 years old, who was young enough to see how half her mother's body was being eaten by Qingou.

The woman screamed, pushing her son who was directly lying next to Xin Chen.

"Save my son ... I beg of you! Don't let him experience the same thing we feel! Save him ... Save her!!"

The mother's moans were interspersed with the screams of the child who knew that his mother was going to die like the humans he had seen, he tugged at Xin Chen's hand to wake up.

"Sister, save mom! Save my mom! He's in pain, I beg you!" Her cry broke out instantly anyway, seeing Qingou start to approach her mother who was drained of blood. Xin Chen looked at the child's face, he was already too battered but his sense of protection made him rise up.

His bones that had been broken caused an excruciating pain, Xin Chen endured it. Holding his heavily bloody shoulder, it had no intention of restoring his body as the current one he saw was only Qingou.

The creature devoured the mother of the child greedily, desperate cries filling the room. The little boy tried to grab his mother who was being chewed in Qingou's mouth, Xin Chen held her back by pulling the boy's hand.

"Your mother is dead. I know you already know that, and you're a kid. But understand, you have to let go and stay alive for her."

"No! Nah! Mom is still alive, she just slept in that ugly monster belly ...! Brother, please, mother is trapped alone there ... She must be cold, she must be..." The boy's lips trembled violently, his legs limp until he fell to his knees. Unable to stem his grief at all, the boy was furious.

Xin Chen who was still gathering the rest of his consciousness did not realize that the boy had slipped out of his hand and was intent on injuring Qingou with his tiny hand, it was clear he would be retiring first.

"Hoh ... The food is pretty fresh!" Qingou jumped like a frog, catching the little boy with her fingertips. The little boy hung upside down, scavenging for air screaming for him to step down. However Qingou did not hear it and started to point the child's head to the mouth.

The mother of the child had saved him at the cost of his life, Xin Chen had no intention of making his death in vain and letting the boy die.

"Come out ... We have enough food to keep you full for months."

The flow of spirit power had long since been felt, Xin Chen looked at the little boy who started screaming towards him.

"I don't want to die! Save me, please ...! I don't want to die now" he screamed in fear. The fishy smell from Qingou's mouth and her sharp teeth made the boy almost faint. He moved unbecoming, begging to be let go.

Those blue eyes lit up brightly, "Here we go."

The power that had disappeared back up, within seconds it had soared that Xin Chen could not control the amount of power that came out.

"Why is it this big?!" Xin Chen was to his surprise instead of playing, "is this the power of five hundred thousand souls? I could lose control"

He himself had never used spirit power since he had last fainted. The overwhelming sensation made him startled, as if fed by a force that continued to grow every second. The culmination of it all starts with a shock that cracks the entire floor, the roof of the building collapses in the blink of an eye and hits whatever is beneath it. Xin Chen saved the little boy earlier, disappearing for a moment and when a powerful lunge appeared made Qingou bounce.

The spirit power raged as it was, after taking the child to a safe place Xin Chen fell. He returned to the spirit body, his head buzzing. The amount of power that began could not be limited and would continue to come out.

Black fog filled the entire New Laboratory, Qingou was on high alert. He saw a beam of light within the darkness and a book floated before Xin Chen. The young man got up with difficulty, staring at the sheet that kept opening up to the last few empty papers.

The black fog carved out a random inscription that was a sign that Stage Three had opened.

Unlike before, there was only one move there.

A strong wind struck, behind the black fog a creature appeared about to hit him with a fist strike. However this black fog was Xin Chen's battlefield, he could still see clearly even though all the places were covered. Qingou was speechless when one move was taken out, making her legs tremble.

"The Book of Spirit Controllers - Empty Eve."

Nothing happened for a few seconds, the black fog disappeared and in the middle of it Qingou was seen kneeling. The gravity of the earth pulled him to prostrate. Or the immense pressure that forced him like that. Qingou sneered, "only ordinary power won't be able to kill me."

The Book of Spirit Controllers closes again, the movement of each closing sheet makes a sound until the cover is closed. An odd silent silence brought about a strange air blowing behind Qingou's back, she tried to examine the various sides.

In the sudden break of Qingou's body, dozens of rubble and ruins were crushed into dust. Xin Chen began to be able to control those hundreds of thousands of spirit power with Empty Eve, much easier than before.

From what he knew Empty Eve herself was not a way to kill, basically just a way to neutralize the power of the spirit. Even if he had to control more than he had now, his mind would not be disturbed and that power was completely under his control.

Xin Chen felt Empty Eve was really useful and he needed all along, but in retrospect the appearance of Empty Eve in the third stage and as the only move in this stage definitely had a reason. He began to guess while controlling the power.

The bodies that had died were floating in the air, then became dust that vanished along with the passing black fog in just a matter of seconds. Leaving none, the spirits grew more and more over time.

"The Book of Spirit Controllers - The Black Line."

"You should have known our strength could be greater than you imagined, you fed us a lot." The remark emerged from the middle of the black fog, a pair of white light facing towards him. Xin Chen knew the spirit was trying to convey something to him.

"Huh, I can imagine something." Xin Chen gathered the spirit power, making it one form something that began to twitch. Tens of long black feet towered up to the roof of the Laboratory. The monster's body was immersed beneath the floor there.

Xin Chen used a force that was getting out of bounds, until a gigantic monster made of spirits came out after devouring the New laboratory building. He could hardly believe that he could create such a huge creature. His feet twitched on the outer wall, hugging and making massive cracks. Then when the New Laboratory collapsed, he finished him off in one go.

Xin Chen unleashed that power immediately, realizing his strength had been at the end. He started worrying about something.

True, usually when he uses too much force the disease will recur and make him lose control. The pain that made her deterrent began to haunt her mind, Xin Chen was unwilling to ruin moments like this with his rampage. Yu and the others are fighting for their rights and peace.

Only dust left, slowly carried away by the early morning wind that was so cold to puncture the bone. Xin Chen was silent, staring at the Lightning Fox that caught the fear in his eyes.

"You okay?"

The fox raised a question that he rarely heard, Xin Chen looked at both hands with a clumsy smile. "Looks ... The disease is completely cured."

"They will be endless" said the fox, throwing a backward glance. Fighter demons and heavily armed soldiers were surrounding them from all sides. Xin Chen nodded slowly.

"It is better to resonate with the Yu people and others," he greeted. Xin Chen and the Lightning Fox immediately left from there. Leaving behind their confused enemies upon seeing the place the last time both of them were seen and were simply empty. The new laboratory that was originally solid has been flattened with soil. In a short time, the center learned of the news and began to take serious action.

Warning sounds rang out along the Sentral, the scent of battle blood had fused with the air there. Morning is approaching and the unrelenting commotion is gone. Yu and Xe Chang decided to make five groups split apart. Yu and his twenty companions had broken through the Imperial hall. Although only five of them were left because the rest were mercilessly brushed, gunshot after shot hit the head of his friend. Until finally Yu was left.

He knelt with both hands on the sides of his head as a sign of surrender. A man whom he so admired once stood upon his throne protected many well-trained guards. His face was haughty and arrogant.

"Your Highness whom I have great respect for, are you willing to listen to our discordant voices? The voice that you know how painful it is to endure all this, you understand it all until the moment you reached out our hands all shed tears ..."

Emperor Shi said nothing but staring at Yu, the two eyes that usually stared with pity and compassion were no different from an assassin who was plotting the death of his victim. Yu had goosebumps, but he had to convey what the previous people who had died before him wanted to say.

Hopefully by talking like this, there will be a change for all of them. Change is better.

"I have so much admiration for Your Majesty, ever since I was a child again. You are a big authority. As His Majesty descended into the villages and suburbs where we who were the victims of this disaster were, I began to believe that there were still our leaders who cared about us."

Both eyes are wet. Yu is a strong woman, during her life she was forced to live independently and rarely wept over circumstances that sometimes betrayed her. But now, his eyes could no longer contain the sadness that had been lodged in his heart for so many years.

"With this Empire crumbling I saw so much suffering that it made my hands tremble, unable to save them all. One day I hoped that, when the new leader ascended, he would have a different way of thinking than the previous one. I want a better change."

Yu did not hesitate to talk as much as possible even though he realized the firearm was lifted ready to penetrate his mouth which was still presumptuous to speak.

The woman prostrated herself, "I ask Your Majesty very much as a commoner who is the victim of all this. Abolish misery in our beloved land, stop any experiment that might destroy all humanity and remain your former figure."

"Is that all you're saying?"

Shi Long Xu fused his constantly moving fingers. Yu silenced his mouth when he knew Shi Long Xu was issuing an order to take up arms.

In a bent state both knees he surrounded the view to the entire hall, seeing that everyone there was fighting him. He is the enemy. Even if only a wasted citizen is helpless.

Regret seethed in his heart, Yu ran this far, sacrificing the lives of hundreds of people only to be killed before Emperor Shi.

"There's a last sentence?"

Shi Long Xu was different from what Yu knew, that noble figure had turned into a power-crazed demon. Tears fell on the floor. Yu was never afraid to die on the streets and become an infected meal. What he now fears is dying with disappointment, that there is nothing he can change despite having struggled so far.

"If His Majesty has indeed been blinded by power. Then someone will come kill you. Someone who will judge you all, he will come and destroy this palace! You're all rotten traitors, carrion-lickers!"

His heart leaked as bullets penetrated, many times his body was bombarded with volleys of gunfire. Yu shouted until the echo of his voice sounded in the hall.

"You're all going to die!" The woman's swearing ended with one last shot until her body collapsed to the floor. Puddles of blood started to appear under his body.

The woman's last words made the originally haughty face start to wrinkle. Feeling something is coming. The sound of fighting was approaching. One body of the guard fell on the door. Then a faint-looking figure walked in. His eyes widened when he saw who was lying lifeless before Shi Long Xu.

"Shi Long Xu ... I thought we were friends. You're an opponent."
