The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 192 - The Starting Point

"Here it all begins ..."

Xin Chen and the Lightning Fox had been right in front of the great wall that protected the Wei Empire, that high-level defense would be hard to break through if one day their enemy side raised the war flag. The two of them were silent for a long while, Xin Chen turned his head towards the speechless Thunder Fox from the past five minutes. His ears moved, following the frightening sound coming out from within the wall.

"Only from the outside has been as chaotic and as terrible as this his voice." The fox finally let out words, but what it said was the same as Xin Chen had thought. It was as if hundreds of thousands of humans were roaring and tearing at anything around him.

"We won't be able to enter easily, yesterday Lang and I were able to break through this because someone helped. Now we have nobody. We need to find a way in."

"Currently, you're thinking about how to get me in there. You yourself can go straight in though," the fox snorted, Xin Chen shook his head briefly. "I can't use spirit power now. And this body is very vulnerable. I must not use force excessively or bad things will happen."

Xin Chen walked up followed by the Thunder Fox, taking cover from behind the tall grass and large tree trunks. There is one side gate, only fit for one adult. They peeked from there for some time until the gate opened.

It seemed that the infected voice that was so close came from the confinement filled by the five corpses. They were left locked up not far from the gate.

The Lightning Fox interjected, "We will only wait until the end if we don't do something. Time to use your brains, Chen. If your brain is useless, you better replace it with a stone."

"Be quiet, Fox Master, this is also thinking. You think I've been dancing?"

Xin Chen started to be unsure, three minutes of thinking accompanied by the insistence of the Foxes as behind them the enemy started to approach but he only had one rather dangerous way.

He himself never tried this way, whether it worked or not. The young man tried to shake off his doubts, concentrating as best he could because if he failed this time it was likely that something bad would happen. They would have no chance to enter the Wei Empire.

"You find a way?"

"Maybe."

He counted the number of soldiers standing guard around the side gate, about eleven people and one archer standing on top of the Imperial wall. Xin Chen created the Fire Bow of Eternity. Aim for a man far enough above the wall, making sure the arrow will drop the man's body outside the wall.

The arrow shot, not so fast or slow. The man who was monitoring was shocked when suddenly a straight object with sharp tip eyes lodged in the trunk of his throat. He was two seconds quiet and finally fell.

The sound of his body that had just fallen from a height hit the ground attracted the attention of the soldiers inside, the gate was reopened with the appearance of two soldiers in thick armour.

The moment that becomes decisive begins.

Xin Chen channeled the spirit power throughout his body in large numbers, setting the flow of that power to focus on his mind. The power was raging, Xin Chen held it back repeatedly until his hands trembled. Hundreds of thousands of spirits rebelled.

"Focus your mind on the one thing ahead." The Lightning Fox helped him stay conscious, pointing to the gate where inside it were seen five infected caged.

"Good-well"

He tightened his fist, resisting the attacks from the force. Of all the types of Spirit-Controlling Scripture moves, this new power was ten times more difficult to pull off.

Black power spread behind the bushes and trees. The soldiers who were checking the bodies started to panic. They called the other soldiers to check.

"They're coming" said the Foxes preparing to blow their heads off if the student really fails this time.

"Don't, I can do it ..."

The Lightning Fox saw the flow of Xin Chen's strength begin to stabilize, but that wasn't all that stunned him. But the black lines that began to run from the face to the tip of his student's feet. His left eye that had previously shone a bright blue began to dim, turning a pitch-black that defeated the black of ink.

"What's wrong with your body?"

The Lightning Fox did not consider the move too dangerous, because if it only possessed one body it might become a disaster.

Five spirits came out, dashing rapidly in all directions. Xin Chen could see what they saw with his left eye, directing the spirit into a cage containing five infected.

The black lines on his body began to fade, as well as his eyes had returned to how they were. Then within a few seconds after Xin Chen fell, feeling something inexplicable.

"Infected out of confinement! Hurry up and catch them!!"

The five soldiers who were about to check were suddenly fooled and immediately ran to the source of the sound. Just as they entered the gate, something jumped up. Make one of their heads break. Three men split open, one of whom was left immediately torn apart.

Chaos graced the side gates, some of the soldiers who were trying to fight off were mercilessly killed by the growing infected.

The Lightning Fox reminded Xin Chen, "we don't have much time, while they're busy we go straight in."

"You're right."

Xin Chen returned to his body originally, he could not linger in the spirit body as it was very difficult to control them. Just like what the Thunder Fox said, that spirit was a form of greed. As soon as they saw the food, they were furious.

The two stepped inside as quickly as possible, Xin Chen followed the Fox's footsteps from behind.

But not lucky when an archer was sneaking a look at him.

"Hey, I saw an intruder"

The wall behind the archer was instantly splashed by blood. Infected who had just attacked him ate the man violently. Xin Chen was goosebumps, not knowing what would happen if the five infected were to see the two of them.

And now Xin Chen was trapped. There was no way out, the Lightning Fox itself had already walked quite far away from him. He was about to head for the door to catch up with the Fox and at the same time one infected confronted him.

The creature's eyes were black, as the Fox said; filled by the spirit power within them.

Xin Chen was silent. Non-polytic. And just realized around the room is quite spacious that there is not a single human survivor.

"I'm not human. Let's just say I'm a rock. Haha." His bumbling laughter invited the attention of the other Four infected, Xin Chen goosebumps instead of playing. Looking at the undead who were staring at him like a living person.

His neck was cold as ice. Infected it was silent, letting it pass as the others approached it.

There are two doors in the room. One door to catch up with the Lightning Fox, another door had soldiers coming closer. Xin Chen could hear their voices from a distance.

Evil ideas rule his brain. Knowing the infected had not attacked him, Xin Chen opened the door that was connected to another room containing the soldiers of the Wei Empire.

"Please, the food, gentlemen."

He immediately ran fast when the five infected ran smelling the smell of a living human. The Lightning Fox that was waiting for him furiously could only exhale. Screams howled from the hallways of the castle.

"We need to get out of this place. Outside there are more soldiers. Be careful."

"Ready, Teacher."

"And try not to kill too much. You'll make them suspect that Emperor Shi's killer is back."
