Ch. 262 - The Destruction of Six Heavenly Heirlooms
One straight sword stab only hit empty air, Qin Yujin escaped and intended to escape the battlefield after realizing her strength was waning.
"Don't you dare run away again!" Xin Chen shouted out loudly. Qin Yujin laughed as she looked back, her running was much faster.
"Capture me if you can. You never made it, did you?"
Xin Chen gritted his teeth, the sword gripped him tightly. He will not release his enemy again. It was already more than the suffering Qin Yujin created. If you let it escape again, maybe not just the sun, the madman could sweep the entire universe even though it sounded impossible.
The earthquake and ruins from the battle of the Demon Phoenix and the Spirit Dragon dispelled Xin Chen. He sped up his pace, until it was next to Qin Yujin. The Fire of Immortality burned the man's body, he managed to decapitate his head.
But he was wrong, Xin Chen only killed ordinary demons. Qin Yujin tricked him.
"HAHAHAHHA! YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO CATCH ME!"
Qin Yujin was already in a different place, with the demonic light power she could move much faster than her usual strength.
"You forgot there's one guy who can catch you and even put you in jail."
Qin Yujin's body was cold instantly.
Fists smoldering, once again cracking Qin Yujin's cheekbones until her face was battered. Xin Fai made Qin Yujin fall lying around losing her balance.
"Chen, now!"
Xin Chen darted quickly into place, from above Xin Chen aimed the Legendary Sword of the Celestial Emperor and the Demon Man into Qin Yujin's heart. Xin Fai jumped towards him, holding Xin Chen's hand and flowing strength along with her son.
"We're ending this."
Xin Chen nodded.
Xin Fai's golden strength and Xin Chen's Fire of Immortality were united within the sword, a fierce tremor occurred. A straight sword pierced Qin Yujin's heart. Penetrating up to the bones and the ground where he lay, the man jumped when the last deadly attack penetrated his heart and all his organs.
Qin Yujin's red eyes widened strongly until the veins were clearly visible, she was lying with one sword stuck in her chest. Two people stood next to him.
"Thank you for what you did. You have lost, all your sins will not be able to be redeemed even in hell. Die in regret. You deserve that."
"There's no way I'm losing ..."
Qin Yujin tried to move but her whole body was stiff, pain ran through her entire body, unlike before this time the man already had nothing left to put up a fight and his heart had been destroyed.
Meanwhile the Demon Phoenix was destroyed by the attack of the Spirit Dragon.
Qin Yujin's hand tried to reach Xin Chen's foot, but a second later stopped. Qin Yujin breathed her last and died in a huge hole. The last attack was by Xin Chen and his father.
"We made it -" Xin Chen came to a halt, suddenly Xin Fai pulled her and hugged her very tightly.
"You're safe, Chen'er. I can't believe you're still alive, it always worries your father."
"I'm a bad boy, huh?"
"You're making me proud to the point of wanting to cry, Chen. You managed to stop Qin Yujin, you managed to save the world. You're a hero in this war. How could I think of you as a bad boy?"
Xin Chen smiled, "Thank you, Father."
Xin Fai let go of her embrace, realizing there was still something bothering Xin Chen.
"The sun ..." Xin Chen looked up.
The red sky slowly dissipated, but in reality the Sun was hit by Qin Yujin's attack when she lost her balance, but only a quarter of it.
"We're back?" xin Fai asked, Xin Chen shook his head.
"There's something I have to do," she said. Xin Chen crouched down, laying down the Blood Ghost Mask, the War God Armor, Steel Phoenix, the Celestial Emperor Sword and the Demon Man. Xin Fai had a moment to wonder before she was immediately given a shocking answer.
"I want to exterminate these Six Heavenly Heirlooms, they are a dangerous war trigger. If no one has it, then there is no more struggle and fear. For the Era of Peace, are you willing to sacrifice the Six Heirlooms as payment?"
Xin Fai was silent. He thought Xin Chen gathered all five heavenly heirlooms to grow stronger, but in reality Xin Chen gathered them to be annihilated.
The young man still explained, "The Demon Man's body will not rise again, the Demon King has calmed down. The Demon Tears had ended and Qin Yujin had been defeated. Only the Heavenly Heirloom was left with such great power. They'll be another scramble in the future and spark the next war."
Xin Fai knew, Xin Chen's thinking was already more mature.
"You're right."
The man took out the Forbidden Book, one of the 7 Heavenly Heirlooms. In front of them were only six heirlooms, the other was the Book of Seven Keys with Xin Zhan. Xin Chen was sure that his brother was able to take care of him. Yet the other six heirlooms must be annihilated, for like the Forbidden Book and the Blood Ghost Mask are heirlooms created to kill with evil forces.
A circle was created around the heirloom, Xin Chen looked at his father who was nodding.
The Six Heavenly Heirlooms were destroyed until not a single speck of dust remained from them. All are lost to the Fire of Eternity.
"It's over and my job is almost done. The Era of Peace will begin, but there is one sacrifice to be made." That small voice could still be heard by Xin Fai.
Xin Fai frowned, "Almost done? A sacrifice? Nothing else to sacrifice, Chen."
Xin Chen smiled slightly, not answering. "Fu Hua survived?"
He's looking in all directions. Found a demon still holding on and keeping someone from a big fight in that place.
"I don't know anymore how to thank you, Demon God."
Xin Chen said upon arrival there. The Demon God nodded, "Thank you later. You guys need to take care of him, he needs immediate help."
"You're coming with us? You're also badly hurt, and that's what I did."
Xin Fai also invited the Demon God to come to Seizu Island, the man could not resist. He smiled, "You guys are so generous. But I'm not sure if the others will accept me."
Xin Chen denied it. "They'll take you. You're the hero who made this victory come true. Without you, this would have ended badly."
Xin Chen knew the Fruit of Immortality was still inside his body and immediately took it, such a great power had been dissipated. The Fruit of Eternity was given back to the shocked Demon God. He refused, considering that there might still be a powerful enemy Xin Chen had to face. And also it could make Xin Chen even stronger.
Xin Chen was convinced that the war was over. He did not want the Fruit of Eternity at all. With his own strength, he felt it was enough to fight fairly. And certainly without being a struggle and having to kill the humans who want to take it from him.
They soon returned. Xin Fai and the Demon God were already some distance away from where Xin Chen was. He carried Fu Hua on his back. Standing in front of Qin Yujin's body.
"I almost finished my job. All of this will never be completed except one final sacrifice to bring about the New Era. I won't hesitate,"
He crouched down, snatching one eye on Qin Yujin's forehead. Such great power from those eyes held the Demon Tears within them. And at the place where Fu Hua was lying earlier, Xin Chen gathered all the Red Crystals and stored them.
Then he burned Qin Yujin's body to the ground, wary of any enemies who might have bad intentions.
"To sacrifice everything I have for the sake of the people I want to protect."
Xin Fai briefly turned around, shouting from a distance. "What are you waiting for, Chen?"
"I'll be there."
