The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 181 - Bloody Paper

"Grrrrh ..." Lang growled in annoyance.

"Rabrargh!" Then Ye Long went berserk.

Meanwhile, one of the victims due to their feud could only gulp.

"Stop giving birth to you. It's night, otherwise I'll just sleep on the floor."

The matter of the bed alone, Xin Chen should be a victim. The two demons were jostling to sleep in his room. There was nowhere else that could accommodate Lang and Ye Long. And now, Lang had just snatched the bed of Ye Long and Ye Long who were unwilling to budge.

Finally Ye Long slept on the bed and Xin Chen somehow had to go where. He walked out of the room, letting the two demons fuss themselves.

At midnight, in front of his house was completely deserted. Yet Xin Chen chose to sit in front of the house, enjoying the silence in solitude. He reached into his pocket, intending to pick up something and instead took out a shabby piece of paper with code and other strange writing.

Xin Chen had almost forgotten that. He took the folded paper inside, the writing had been interpreted by Lang. They got it in a book containing research of the plague in the Wei Empire. One word in it, though,

'From Hu Yaongi, West Bay, 206 miles.'

Xin Chen stared at the old paper while digesting what the author meant, because when he got the paper there was a blood stain dripping on it.

Most likely, the man was killed while writing the book. He recalled getting a map of the Wei Empire, opening it wide and looking around for a place called Hu Yaongi.

Luckily on the piece of paper, there was a wind sign, which helped him get to the location faster.

Xin Chen frowned.

Hu Yaongi and the village where Laboratory A-3 is located are very, very far away. If the outbreak started there, the information that says Laboratory A-3 was the beginning of the outbreak is false.

Xin Chen thought for a long time. There must be a clue in the West Bay, Hu Yaongi City. He wanted to find out about it, but the problem was that it was very dangerous. Not to mention he was being hunted down and also Xin Zhan was definitely going to intercept him.

The affairs of the Wei Empire were none of his business, Xin Zhan would definitely say that. But Xin Chen basically understood, her brother only wanted his family to be whole without anyone lacking.

Those blue eyes glanced back, from the small pond below Xin Chen could see the reflection of himself.

He saw a killer.

Then, turn to a beautiful and comfortable house.

Mind fucked. A murderer seems to be left alive in a safe house, he will only bring trouble and misfortune. The longer he stayed here, the closer the enemy arrived. Xin Chen did not want to imagine that one day the beautiful leaves in his courtyard should be splashed with blood. Or see the body of one of his family members lying lifeless.

Because himself.

He clenched his hand, turning his face to the other side. Afraid of himself, who couldn't even protect his family from harm. Because he himself is the danger.

Yet out of all the things that had happened, Xin Chen was grateful he could keep his promise to Ren Yuan; bringing Xin Fai back home safely. The Lightning Fox had been saved and he had managed to subdue the Dark Dragon.

But it still feels gray. The goal is still in the shadows.

Slowly he rolled back the map and the paper.

"It wouldn't have happened if I just kept sitting here quietly."

Xin Chen had no time to rest, he immediately walked out of the fence and headed towards one place.

The Zing Clan Residence. One of the most illustrious clans was hereditary in the Empire, their influence from the ancestors all the way to his great-grandchildren was never interrupted. Their face paintings were even on display in the Imperial hall. So far, no one has ever wanted to find anything with this family. Because it is believed, they have a hired killer.

One problem arises, especially to tarnish their names, can run out his opponent not until one night. Since little Xin Chen had met several times with this figure named Zing Yongxe, he often attended important events and meetings.

At that age, it was certain that Zing Yongxe had extensive acquaintances and relatives. Not even just in the Shang Empire alone, even to the Qing Empire alone he had a close connection with the nobles from there.

Dozens of guards were wandering around the spacious residence, the sheer amount of lighting making the entire place bright. There is no way to infiltrate. Even at the part of the gate that became the entrance to the row of magnificent houses of the Zing clan guarded nearly ten large tall men.

Just looking at it was certain that they were not careless guards. They are trained, even the sound of tree branches falling alone can still be realized.

The eyes of one of the guards caught a black shadow standing outside the fence. Not clearly visible face because in that section the range of lighting lights does not get there.

One of them approached with a wooden torch in hand, of course slowly and carefully.

His hand was shaking with the torch. To the extent that his teeth were grinding violently, he stuttered to the point of falling down.

How not, the black figure looked real standing in front of the fence. But the light of the torch did not reflect the slightest shadow from him. There was only a monstrous black form pecking in front of him, occasionally looking as he moved. Makes a creepy atmosphere increasingly.

"Se-demon!!!"

The man who had fallen down just now ignored the torch fire that had fallen from his hand and immediately crawled running to his other comrades. They flocked to check, from a distance the shadow figure was seen merging with the black shadow of the trees.

If the distance is thinned, the shadow disappears without leaving a trace.

Their contact was silent, no one wanted to make a sound until morning.

The Zing Yongxe in his residence was made anxious by the reports brought by the clan gate guards. For a long time he sat down to sign a contract of approval and various other papers. And he himself did not get enough rest lately, because guests never absent to come to his house.

In the morning he stayed awake from his sleep, feeling a terrible air that was so thick as if he was lurking behind his back. The hunchbacked man looked to his left right, closing his back with a wall in anticipation of someone stabbing him in the back.

After fixing his seat, Zing Yongxe refocused with the sheet on the table.

He threw the paper until it spilled ink next to him because it was so shocked.

On the sheet of paper was written a bloody mess, writing,

'If the heavens can't punish you, then my law will kill you.'
