"Foolish Disciples!"
That one remark made Emperor Qin and Xin Fai stare at each other in confusion.
"You I told you to learn to control the Fire of Eternity and become a windbender. The punishment for you must be increased!"
"Until you burn the trees here, what's on your face? Land hit too? In which hemisphere did I get such a stupid student like you? You'd better apologize to the palace people after this ..."
Those silver eyes flashed with rage, he turned to Xin Fai and Emperor Qin. Stupefied.
"Ah, forgive this student of mine. He is still an amateur. Wear the rehearsal in the backyard."
"But why here if you want to practice? At home can." Xin Fai was still so sure of what she saw earlier. Something is wrong.
"I intend to test it later in the day. Maybe he's in a hurry to practice. Forget about that. I'll punish him for this. No need to worry." The Lightning Fox used its power, stinging Xin Chen's body until the young man woke up from his stupor. He took a deep breath, as if he had just drowned it into the bottom of the sea so deep.
"He's okay, don't worry. I have to go get him to practice. We're saying good."
The Lightning Fox forced Xin Chen to walk on his own feet even though his consciousness was no more than one percent. But the chaos in his mind subsided in a moment. He tried to control himself while walking away from the palace. A few people greeted him along the way, but Xin Chen just silently lowered his head with staggering steps.
What he saw now was only the back of the Lightning Fox.
But that alone made him feel safe.
The baseless fear that had suddenly exploded on the surface since last night had made his heart worry. Xin Chen himself had no idea what had happened to him, lucky that there was still a fox with him. Despite having to accept the lecture at length after this, Xin Chen did not feel threatened by the anger of his teacher.
Time went so slowly, to reach the palace gate alone Xin Chen to the point of asphyxiation. He raised his face, looking at the gate. His eyes are wide open.
He saw the gate turn into a cracked glass door with hundreds of infected inside. The pounding of the glass door was mixed with a hysterical roar, buzzing in Xin Chen's ears. Creating a chaotic rhythm that makes him dizzy instead of playing. He closed his ears through the gate.
Two gate guards peeked outside.
"Hey, what's with Second Young Master Xin?"
"Don't know. I hope he's okay."
Xin Chen collapsed. The Lightning Fox turned its body. Exhaling an annoyance. The young man began to lose consciousness again, but unlike before, this time he did not go berserk.
At the end of his consciousness, Xin Chen spoke weakly.
"They called me ... Day ..."
The Lightning Fox crouched down and could not listen to what Xin Chen said after that.
"Who called you."
The fox put on a sour face as a group of men with full headgear and armor uniforms approached.
"What's with Second Young Master Xin?"
"I'll handle it. Go, you make things more crowded."
The Lightning Fox used its power, turning one of its hands into a larger stealth hand size to raise Xin Chen. Go home to his house.
**
The Lightning Fox brought Xin Chen home without Ren Yuan knowing, including the other two demons who must have been immediately noisy if they knew Xin Chen was unconscious. Now they were both in the corner of the residence, a quiet and silent place. Where in the past few days the Thunder Fox had always been there to meditate.
The fox opened its eyes when it heard Xin Chen's breath, so heavy. He could not see his disciple, either pitying him or getting angry. As a demon, his emotions were always tested by the creature in front of him.
"Why aren't you being honest about this."
A familiar voice drowned in his ears, Xin Chen only saw a blurry fox shadow in front. Until he could see the Lightning Fox was sitting down, throwing its face away. And that disappointment on his face, made Xin Chen aware of what had just happened.
Luo Mei had indeed once said her illness would recur at any time, for which Xin Chen had to be vigilant. These diseases are just like living things, they are growing stronger and more complex. Sometimes it looks dead and then suddenly destroys all the cell tissue.
One suggestion from Luo Mei that Xin Chen had ignored, the man suggested that he should stay in the Wei Empire. But the risk was in it, because his position at that time Xin Chen was being hunted by the Empire.
His breath sounded trembling.
"I'm sorry, Fox Master. I don't intend to hide it from you."
"Then you let me know when you almost hurt someone else?"
"It's not so ...."
Xin Chen was at a loss for words to continue his sentence, thinking that his brain was deadlocked. The fox shook his head slowly. "I'll punish you after you recover. For now, release the body. You must go to your spirit body. Even if you can't shake hands or touch anything."
The Lightning Fox emphasized seriously.
"Don't use the human body again, unless it's just a matter of seconds. Understood?"
"Guess, Teacher."
"But-" he said restrained, as he remembered he had never said his illness to the Foxes, except about him becoming a fugitive of the Wei Empire. "Where do you know about this?"
"You can't lie to me. Especially the wolf."
Of course Lang told him. The Lightning Fox knew that. When something tried to be hidden from him, it was as if a demon was whispering it to the fox.
Xin Chen coughed, his body returning to a spirit form. He took a breath. Forgetting the pain that a few hours ago almost made him out of control.
If this was the case, Xin Chen wasn't sure he could attend a meeting or a call at the palace. But rather than fizzle things forward, he chose to calm down. Following the Lightning Fox who started meditating. And in a moment, the place went back to being as quiet as before.

Two days passed so quickly, during which time the news coming out of the Empire continued to shock the people. After the news that Jiang Cho would be deposed from the Imperial Pillar, then Zing Yongxe was deposed from office, and now it was reported that from the evidence paper collected in the Emperor's hall, there was one other piece of evidence that carried the big name of the Hong clan within.
The frenzy out there kept sounding noisy in the ears, Xin Chen decided to confine himself with reasoned pain. Xin Fai repeatedly wanted to check on his last son, but he seemed to refuse his arrival.
The third day, Xin Fai knocked three times at the door. Said that Emperor Qin asked him to come, not for meetings or events. But to speak only the two. Xin Chen who heard him just kept silent and waited for his father to leave.
"Teacher ..."
"What's wrong? Say anything but not your stupid idea."
"I decided to return to the Wei-E Empire"
"You crazy?!"
Eyes that were once closed to peace are now wide burning burning embers of emotion.
"One time you've been there, it's been a big deal. First, become a fugitive. And second, a deadly disease. You expect how much more trouble, Chen?!"
Xin Chen was not at all daunted by this. He's been thinking about it.
All his problems would never be solved if he continued to be in the Shang Empire. This place is not the solution.
And he was afraid that one day the disease in his body would come out and hurt those closest to him - or even his own family.
"I saw a killer inside me."
"You've been too carried away by Chen lately, forget about meeting the Emperor. We meditate until one week. Maybe a quarter of your brain is useless until it can't be used to think."
"I don't want the same thing to happen again." He interjected, "When others are snatched from me, I must return them bloody. I don't want that to happen again. If anyone has to get out of here, it's me. Not Dad, not my sister. And I don't even want people involved in this."
"You're just going to add to the problem, Chen. Trust me."
"Then I sit here quietly?! Enjoying the warm tea and the warm sun while people out there are running around being chased by death?" the apoplexy is back on top.
"I'm trying to find a solution. That's it."
The Lightning Fox shook its head, doubtful. "A naughty boy like you, you always make careless decisions. I can't let you go."
Xin Chen stared at the floor below, clenching his hands. How could the fox have agreed. He closed his eyes, hearing the Lightning Fox recite again.
"Except by bringing neutralizer to your folly."
His face turned quickly. "Master Fox, you-"

Xin Chen received a new black robe that Emperor Qin had given him. With the stitching of her official Shadow Pillar emblem. He put it on, pulling the hood of the robe up to the top of the head to hide the face. Went to the Emperor's palace before his family awoke from sleep.
Morning blind when night is gone. The moon dimmed, on the eastern horizon met with reddish morning signs soon before. As the moon sinks, the sky is increasingly brightly shaded red tinge of morning light. Peace in the backyard of the palace coupled with the cool breeze coming down from the crack of the hill. Xin Chen had just arrived, seeing that Emperor Qin had been waiting near a pond that was only a few meters away from the back door of the palace. There was a gazebo where the man was sitting.
Two cups of warm tea had been placed on a small table before the Emperor. Emperor Qin smiled as his eyes discovered the presence he had been waiting for.
"Finally you came too, young man."
Xin Chen nodded, sitting cross-legged before Emperor Qin.
"What's calling me, Your Majesty?"
"Ahahaha calm down is not to discuss anything serious. Just a casual chat. You know, your dad and I are very close." Emperor Qin stopped his remark, studying Xin Chen's face.
"Is there something bothering you? Like the threat from the other clan party, maybe about Jiang Cho or Hong Tian?"
Again Emperor Qin said, "I heard from your father, you locked yourself in a room. After that day ... People ask about your whereabouts. I'm worried about you. After everything you've done, this empire is very grateful to you."
"But if you have problems and burdens that you can't handle on your own, let me know. Maybe your brain and strength are mature. But not with your heart, Chen'er."
Xin Chen looked down. Emperor Qin called it by that name.
"Your Majesty is too anxious. I'm okay, just a little tired."
After getting that answer, Emperor Qin tried to understand.
"Well, I'm grateful that it is. About Jiang Cho and Hong Tian, they will be deposed and replaced with more worthy heroes."
"You're gonna make sure? Those who are truly capable of protecting this Empire?"
Emperor Qin stared into those blue eyes. Terrified.
"What does that mean?"
"Someone who can protect all our society, if war happens, or rampant slaughter and even ... Doomsday. Where the plague spreads, it drives men mad, it kills and hates each other and the Empire is like a hell of rotting carcasses"
"Xin Chen?"
Xin Chen came to a realization with what he had just said.
It took a while until Emperor Qin decided to speak.
"Explain, what are you afraid of?"
"Era of Destruction."
Emperor Qin's eyes were wide open.
"No way."
"It's very possible now."
Xin Chen's eyes were so certain, making Emperor Qin even more wary. Indeed Xin Chen served as a spy outside the Empire. And the young man had a lot of information he did not know.
"Your Majesty asked, what am I afraid of, right?"
Emperor Qin waited for Xin Chen to explain.
"I don't want His Majesty to know this from anyone else. But I want to tell you, that I am Emperor Shi's murderer."
