Ch. 227 - Rescue Mission

The day that the Wei Imperial Soldiers broke into the Shang Empire looking for the perpetrators of a serial murder that killed hundreds of soldiers and a supreme being in the Wei Empire, Emperor Qin did not take it for granted and began to form a reconnaissance group. Meanwhile Emperor Qin was worried that if he took out the strongest pawns like the Imperial Pillar, they would also end up the same and the might of the Shang Empire was unstable.

This difficult decision made his ten fingers cold. Emperor Qin had not been able to make up his mind even though the higher-ups had given the best advice. He's still waiting and waiting, though,

"And now I know who to rely on for this mission. With you, I believe victory is in our hands, Pillar of Shadow."

Emperor Qin added, "Of course I have measured how much power they are and weighed this decision carefully, I know this is risky but ..." Emperor Qin began to whisper, Xin Chen swooped an eyebrow upon hearing the man's delivery.

The first mission Xin Chen received, he would be with the Demon Sword. Rescuing twenty young children and a woman who is thought to still be trapped in a small orphanage. They brought three soldiers assigned to their respective duties.

In less than half a day they reached the village. Seeming more crowded than the previous villages, the area was full of infected crawling through the streets of the village. There was hardly any room to escape. Xin Fai quickly found a point where the little ones were.

The power of the Book of Seven Keys began to dominate, Xin Chen noticed beside him and could only be amazed. The feeling that always makes his father look very cool. When the man exerted all his strength to protect the people.

Xin Chen had forgotten that he was so eager to become an Imperial Pillar, following in the footsteps of the Demon Sword that his name sounded until another empire. But it seemed like everything he had gone through made him realize that being a hero was not everything, he did not need a Pillar seat to save others.

Xin Chen relaxed his smile, there was a sense of wanting to reject Xin Fai's words. He's holding back his words.

"Go, you're too used to saving people behind shadows. So no one knows that their real savior is you. Show me your face," he said proudly, Xin Chen looked at his father.

"And don't be shy."

The happy face disappeared instantly, Xin Chen was not so moved. He forgot his father's brain was lacking in ounces.

Xin Chen instantly descended, and in one second even less the Demon Sword Sect had decapitated dozens of heads with its sword. The Red Fire Flower lit up like on his forehead, Xin Fai fought seriously. Hundreds of infected came jumping at him, making him drown in the pile of corpses.

Yet a great power appeared, a golden light shining brightly around him. So big and powerful that it thickened the bodies, no wonder he was made as the Strongest Swordsman of the Shang Empire.

Xin Chen did not want to remain silent, as moving to where Xin Fai's target opened a path for him.

"Go!"

"Good!"

Xin Chen leaped onto the top of the house, in an instant Xin Fai was made dumbstruck by the huge wave. Infected it turns aggressive, forming large waves that lead to their place.

"We need to hurry!"

Xin Chen had seen it before and was not as shady as Xin Fai. It is only fitting that the rescue team is unable to complete the mission in this village, they have already been killed by this terrible infection.

Xin Fai had been preparing for the worst possibility until suddenly a spirit shield appeared, its size capable of encompassing a single mansion. Infected that hit the shield vanished eaten by its power.

"What stage are you at, Chen?"
