The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 191 - Rise from Death

When that Xin Chen fused his two fingers together, as before focused a stream of power on the mind. The sensation came back, a pulse in his head that felt odd. Xin Chen could not say the pain was like a physical wound, more to a disturbance in his mind.

As he focused his attention on spirit power, something opened up. His vision was so dark that he could not understand what was happening to himself.

The Lightning Fox that had just cleared the enemy was stunned, the silver eyes looking at the four dots on his student body which were all connected by a line centered on Xin Chen's heart. There was a strange form that could not be explained by words, but if measuring the power of the Lightning Fox felt an immense danger. Potential that he had never seen before.

The flow of power in Xin Chen's body did seem stable, but the terrifying aura from him could not be lied to anymore, the beasts that happened to be near the forest ran in fear.

"For what ... You-" the Lightning Fox grew shocked when she saw the only remaining corpse rise up. Without resting and as if it had no bones. He was still motionless, his head bowed like it was about to break. Xin Chen was similarly shocked.

His dark vision had moved to another view. Where Xin Chen was as if he was darting rapidly into the body of that soldier. When he realized he was still in the same place.

However, what was different was that now the corpse had risen.

"What are you doing, Chen?"

Xin Chen retreated.

"I don't know-"

The corpse's mouth growled ferociously, he began to groan loudly and rampage as it was. His behavior was like a starving beast, but he did not attack Xin Chen at all and began to hunt down the Lightning Fox. Xin Chen didn't know how to stop him. But it was fortunate that the Fox had its own shield that kept it safe from the attack of the corpse.

"That black eye, as if possessed by the power of your spirit."

The alleged Thunder Fox was greeted directly by Xin Chen who explained what he saw just now, the Lightning Fox tried to understand what was explained and started looking for the most reasonable guesses.

"Your spirit power takes an empty body as its host. If you can control it, then this power will be very useful in the future."

Xin Chen was focused on something else. "No, it's almost like it happened in the Wei Empire. So similar. But this time, I can see what my spirit saw before they entered the body."

"You can learn it slowly." The fox looked at the man who was just moving around, trying to smash his shield with a weak force.

"Find out a way to stop it."

Xin Chen retracted the spirit power in the corpse's body, only once tried and the body instantly fell flat on the ground. Lives like never before.

"Maybe I'm starting to understand a little bit" he murmured in doubt.

"A fascinating concept." The fox responded while circling the body of the corpse. "Why is an infected body more easily entered by spirit power than an ordinary corpse?"

One question represented the entire question in Xin Chen's head. He was waiting for the assumption of the fox that had now stopped circling the corpse.

"Basically these spirits are looking for a collision to survive. When they sensed the many corpses around, they would instantly be aggressive to obtain such food. It's what made the spirit power turn uncontrollably when you were in the Wei Empire. When the spirit power is unstable then they will enter the infected body."

Xin Chen was silent for a while until he felt understood by the point the Lightning Fox was talking about. "The more bodies the more aggressive they become?"

"really. Study it, for only you can understand your own strength. Now we move, before the enemy comes and slows down our movement."

The fox walked first compared to him, Xin Chen kept thinking. Although while fighting or being chased by hundreds of soldiers, reaching the border region was much more difficult than the previous one with his state of being targeted. Lucky for him to be with the Lightning Fox, the fox was able to fight even without touching its enemy.

"Your strength has recovered yet again?" xin Chen asked on the third night when they were already so close to the great high wall that became the border between the Wei Empire and the Shang Empire.

"Not until two percent, but if to finish the keroco-keroco will not be reduced much."

Xin Chen smiled bitterly, those two percent would not decrease even if the fox was facing a thousand warriors. It was undeniable, his special power was boundless power - in the sense that he could store a great deal of power.

Unheard any longer Xin Chen made a sound, the Lightning Fox became a little curious and turned towards him.

Indeed, the face looks flat, but the blue eyes are harboring sadness that tries to be buried as deep as possible.

"Farewell is painful, but at least you still have a chance to get back to them when it's all over."

The face lifted up, "does the finished word exist?"

"Trust me, everything has an end ..." Then the Lightning Fox glanced at him, seemingly interrupted by something. His disciple is a form of Eternity. He's not gonna die. And it could have been, when the age of the Lightning Fox had run out, that young man was still down the road in a different generation.

The Lightning Fox felt, Xin Chen had realized everything that was going to happen to him.

"You lonely?"

"No." Xin Chen replied briefly. "I just feel guilty sometimes. I want a normal life ... Where I work in the Empire and go back home, look after my mother and come to dinner with my family."

"And what you see out here is nothing more than a forest full of distress, human carcasses and endless bloodshed." This time the Thunder Fox understood exactly what his disciple was feeling, casting a glance over the sky where he only saw an empty sky without months and stars. Very hollow. Like Xin Chen now.

"But if I don't do it, I'm afraid they'll have to see what I see now. That's worse. Therefore I choose to bind the distress with me, so as not to touch them. It's just that I forgot that when I was with them, it meant that I dragged them into danger."

"For them, you're a hero."

"But the people of the Shang Empire are starting to hate me," Xin Chen interrupted. Shadows the gazes of the residents of Fanlu City towards him.

"Chen," call the fox. "The great sailor was not born of calm waters, but was born of waves and storms."

The teacher gave advice again. "That forging is not only from your enemies, but also from those around you. Don't let it weaken you. Be sharp as a sword. Hard as a shield. You don't need a confession to protect people. They'll admit you after you protect them all."

The fox stood up when midnight had followed, as planned they moved when midnight where most of the soldiers had rested. Seeing his disciple still sitting, but his facial water was much better than before.

"I'm really grateful you're back, Master Fox."
