The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 165 - Witnessed the Heavy Rain

Again, the tightness in his chest and the pain radiating in his body came back. Xin Chen started to regain his consciousness after two days, his nose could smell the scent of a warm herbal medicinal drink. Then a hand gently touched his forehead. Pasting a leaf while reciting a prayer.

"What ..."

"Oh, you're up. Drink this medicine while it's warm." Luo Mei placed the warm cup on the short table next to Xin Chen.

"The wolf named Lang has explained everything to me. I'm sorry to hear that, but there's no need to be afraid. I've given you the best bidder we've got, even if it's only been a few days' work. Your blood is not completely clean. Don't let go of this disease."

While continuing the chat Luo Mei released a leaf that was affixed to her forehead.

"You sure you're going there?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Then you only have two days. Come back soon, or at worst you'll lose control again and start killing yourself."

Luo Mei's warning was accompanied by her serious gaze, she tidied up the items.

"I pray for your safety. Be careful there."

Xin Chen woke up aided by Luo Mei, taking a deep breath. For some reason since using Xin Chen's spirit body felt he had become extremely weak. He had never expected this to happen, if he could use Xin Chen's spirit body not to care about viruses, plagues, starving wounds and many other troubling things. This was the same, his body was immortal but illness could still eat away at him.

"You can walk? Or take another day's rest before you leave?"

"I have to leave immediately." Xin Chen found that Lang had been in the courtyard, seeing that Xin Chen had woken up he immediately rushed in carrying a bag tied around his neck.

Luo Mei put something in her hands. A medicinal powder wrapped in dried leaves. Not much, but Xin Chen was quite grateful the man kindly gave it to her. "alright. Don't forget what I said. Use this medicine when you feel like you're about to lose control."

Xin Chen nodded, followed by Lang the two immediately walking towards the gate. Start your journey to Laboratory A-3.

**

A wooden crossbar contains a rattling road guide when the storm winds come, shabby rags designed with bamboo fluttering uncharacteristically following the roar of the strong wind. Xin Chen and Lang walked down a rocky path adjacent to a large moat. There's nobody there.

Every now and then their attention is on the dirty water that flows there, such as removing toxic fumes and the color is as deep red as blood that has rotted. The smell that he released was fishy no matter, anyone who kissed him would feel his stomach contents like being stirred.

And now they had arrived at the place that Luo Mei had said, the beginning of the destruction of the Wei Empire. Just smelling the air in that place, Xin Chen could imagine so many corpses in the village. To the point that he coughed, the smell was still thick.

"We've arrived."

Xin Chen could not say that they were completely alone, he could feel the air of the infected presence as well as the faint sound from a distance. Lang checked various places, smelling the rest of the blood. Its tail feathers sometimes rose, feeling threatened by a flock of large rats coming out of the house that was about to collapse.

The rat was almost the size of a toddler, his eyes were red and his claws were more pointed than usual. They moved cautiously when they found Xin Chen and Lang entering their territory.

Before the rats attacked, Xin Chen burned them all out. He approached the house, seeing the rest of the rats still inside. Eating a human corpse that is still intact.

"Is there still anyone living here?"

From the body of the corpse, he should have died not yet four months. Xin Chen was stunned, looking at the large rats that were numbering not just tens. They took control of the attic of the house and ate the remaining corpses. Presumably the carcasses make their stomachs always full until their size has far exceeded the limit.

While they were afraid that the rat was bringing trouble, Xin Chen chose to ignore it. He followed Lang who had already walked far ahead. But the wolf immediately retreated quickly, biting into Xin Chen's sleeve and forcing him to hide behind the walls of the house.

Xin Chen could feel it, Infected Type A, he had to kill the infected. Want to hide the infected was getting closer and began smelling their body scent.

Lang also thought of attacking directly infected it, but seeing that Xin Chen was already preparing with the Fire Immortal arrow he unbundled the intent. Watching Xin Chen come out of hiding and directly aiming for the infected right on the head.

The head was leaking out thick blood that was exactly the same as the trench water they had encountered. Xin Chen stuck up to more than a dozen arrows, the creature did not fall down and began to react.

Catastrophe. Xin Chen could not control the creature from screaming and provoking the infected attention that spread all over the village. His shout echoed very loudly, more like a roar. Already burning it at once with the Prison of Hell was still able to scream.

Xin Chen did not expect that to happen. Infected it was probably the type of pliers she hated the most, now she was beginning to be shrouded all over. There's no way to run.

The situation grew even more dire as the sounds of the starving corpses approached, their steps moving at a rapid pace. Xin Chen had already looked everywhere, there was no way out anymore. They've already gone inside.

Lang looked at one of the tall towers among the slum housing, whispering quickly. "We're going up there."

Xin Chen only saw two ordinary infected being on the roof of the tower. He assented without thinking twice, began climbing the roofs of the houses.

Horrifyingly, what was chasing Xin Chen behind made his heart race faster.

It's the most dangerous infection, the fire won't burn it. He crawled up and jumped like a frog, chasing after Xin Chen and Lang who were about to head to the tower. Lang realized they were being chased, not willing to serve the infected. One bite can make it go away instantly. While the uproar grew in the village, the infected who shouted earlier came after them. It was like herding thousands of other undead to where Xin Chen and Lang had escaped.

Not long ago they ran, the black clouds that had been hanging in the sky began to drop large amounts of water specks. Unfortunately for Lang, he could not jump between the roofs properly because it was slippery.

The wolf treading on one of the zinc that turned out to have no handle, Lang tried to hold on to the wood but the water made his hands and feet slippery. Xin Chen was left far behind and could not save Lang. The wolf fell into a house filled with rats and from the door, the infected began to rush in to gnaw at his body.
