The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 54 - Don't Go

The fight is getting more intense with each increasing time. As if all the power they had unleashed was meaningless, Xin Fai was attacking even more intensely. Doesn't look tired or in pain. Like a human being played like a puppet. His mouth does not speak. It was just that his body kept on moving lurking, swarming over Xin Zhan's life that was always on the edge of the horn.

While walking away from Xin Fai, Xin Zhan stiffened the tension of his muscles, resting them on a fist. No one saw the trembling all over his body. Then Xin Zhan looked at the steps of his two legs, feeling that he would soon be uprooted in an incredible battle draining his strength. Far away, Xin Zhan took off his fist and looked at the two who were also shaking, even though the air was not cold at all. He gathered the two palms together and lowered them from sight.

Xin walked over as she looked up to cover her face, holding back the grievous laughter and tears that suddenly infiltrated her heart. He escaped a rough snort. Trying to grab back his sword which was now stuck on the ground, from his hand a blood stream flowed profusely. True, Xin Fai managed to slash his arm to the bone. After sticking a small knife in the cursed eye on Xin Fai's body, the man was suddenly much more aggressive than before.

Either because Xin Fai's subconscious felt threatened. Xin Zhan felt unable to keep up with it anymore if Xin Fai were to unleash his original strength at this moment.

Gasping for breath, Xin Zhan retreated three times as his opponent leaped high towards him. His mind was focused on the point where the spy was. From behind his pocket, Xin Zhan took out a small tube-shaped object made of bamboo. It was another secret weapon he had prepared before arriving at the Valley of the Gods.

Despite taking into account that he would definitely be in a cornered situation like this, Xin Zhan felt reluctant to violate the code of conduct he had instilled in his heart for dozens of years. Fighting and honor are something that cannot be separated from each other.

But her promise to Ren Yuan, as well as the shadow of seeing the woman cry each time recalled her husband and second son who had disappeared. All of this made him fall. Feel the pain deep. Since childhood, Xin Fai was much more familiar with Xin Chen. While he was closer to his mother, Ren Yuan. That woman was everything to Xin Zhan.

With Ren Yuan until he grew up, without a father figure. And always feel guilty about everything that happens to their family. Xin Zhan did not want to stay in that frightened position any longer.

And after he finds out his sister is still alive and his father can return to their small house. Xin Zhan wanted to continue fighting. Although it must kill the honor and the line that it has followed all this time.

If he had to give up his knight status to become a thief, Xin Zhan would do that. To take care of what he wants to keep.

Xin Zhan blew on the thing, sharp needles came out from there and instantly stuck in three black eyes.

The spies on Xin Fai's body were moving wildly, in pain. Then it disappeared into thin smoke. Sure enough, those former eyes disappeared without a trace.

Now Xin Zhan knew what to do. At least it would probably help Xin Fai regain her consciousness. If Xin Fai came back to her senses, there were so many things she wanted to say to the man. Several Xin Zhan attacks missed.

As before, every time one eye disappeared Xin Fai would be much fiercer. The darkness energy from Xin Fai's body grew stronger, the black fog scattered to all directions in a short period of time. Until some time later, the fog of darkness had controlled a quarter of the Valley of the Gods. Xin Zhan understood the surroundings were starting to become more dangerous than before.

There was no sound or movement he could catch. It's very dangerous. Already put the eyes and ears as well as possible, even the sound of falling leaves was no longer heard in Xin Zhan's ears.

He could not guess whether this was all the influence of the dark power that Xin Fai now possessed. It felt like his instincts were far dull when he was within that circle of black fog.

Xin Zhan gasped and looked back. He did not realize since when a man was present a few steps behind him. Without a second thought, he pointed the sword back. He pulled the object right toward a man who shocked him a few meters back.

Xin Zhan asked quickly, his eyes looking out. His mind could not guess who was suddenly in this empty place. Ever since the presence of Xin Fai and the Dark Dragon, there had been barely a single human in the Valley of the Gods. Some of the soldiers managed to survive the battle and were certainly holding a meeting to deal with the situation they were in. Both were ordered to fight against the enemy. Life or death.

Sounds impossible and crazy. But that's what's happening to both of them right now. Then who is the young man with eyes so dark, black beat that night? The parasite can be quite handsome with thick eyebrows and sharp views. Xin Zhan retreated as the young man approached.

"I don't think in an age like today humans like you are still alive."

"What do you mean?"

"You survived this far against someone with incredible strength. Just with a makeshift force and a fragile sword in your hand?"

The man then turned his eyes back. Behind the thick fog, a man appeared. His face was down and no longer attacked as before. Xin Zhan realized that the young man with black eyes was the same person as the figure he had met in his father's Blood Rain dimension. His eyes are so scary. Hugely. Even though the young man smiled at him.

"We have the same eyes."

Xin Zhan is retreating.

"Do you think these eyes are cursed?"

He held her eyes, looking sad.

"Everyone is scared with these eyes. Wouldn't a color so black be scary. In the darkness, your eyes are even much blacker."

"My mom never said my eyes were cursed. And I have absolutely no blood relation to you. Our eyes are not the same. That's all I can say."

The young man replied shortly afterwards. "Stay, our eyes are very, very bad. You're not scared? If suddenly someone comes to you, want those eyes. And make you blind. You cannot become a human being, or even a fighting tool for your master later. Then what are you gonna be but a bum?"

Xin Zhan did not understand where the men were talking to. His eyebrows met, not knowing what to say.

"My mom always said that my eyes were beautiful. I'm not scared. And don't equate me with you."

There was a faint snort from the young man. Xin Zhan felt that the young man was not a person of his age. Not at all. He felt like he was talking to an old man with a teenage body. The way he looks, stands and talks does not show the naive and labile personality that people of his age usually have.

But Xin Zhan did not care at all about what was on the young man's mind.

"Stop your doing. You've gone too far to play with the Demon Sword. He was my father. Release this curse."

"Or what?" Annoyed, the young man replied. His tone was calm. He had a look of emotion on his face that was so white as a corpse.

"I'm not going to attack you."

The young man looked at him full of question marks.

Xin Zhan stared up, several hundred meters away where a fierce fight was ravaging the Valley of the Gods. Even the hills were almost flat with the ground as a result.

"Other crazy people ... I used to hear a story about a swordsman who killed an Ice Dragon with his hands. The first strongest Earth Ruler Demon. And now his son, following in his father's footsteps?" He said he could hardly believe it.

"Your family is terrible hahaha."

"Let go of our Father. This war will be finished peacefully without any bloodshed."

Xin Zhan's tone declined. But what he got was precisely something that made him angry.

"let go? Cih, don't dream. You have your own purpose. Then your enemy has a purpose of his own. You're too selfish to ask them to give up their goals so that your wishes are fulfilled. Right now, there was only remaining who could win to get what they wanted. Didn't you?"

Xin Zhan gripped even tighter at the sword hilt, his chest starting to look up and down. Even so, he seemed to be calmly controlling himself.

"All right then. And also what is your purpose in showing yourself? You know I could've attacked you."

"I just wanted to say. If you constantly smash the eye spells on the Demon Sword's body, then my control on that person will be damaged."

Xin Zhan wanted to laugh. Was the young man afraid to go all the way to him and tell him his heartbreak clearly?

It doesn't make any sense.

"You wanna laugh? Go ahead. But look if my control seal comes off. Nothing could stop the rampaging Demon Sword. He lost his memory as long as you know. Since the first day he had been brought to the Qing Empire, Master Qin had already given him the concoction of a famous medicinal expert. To clean up his memories and replace them with new ones."

"New news?"

The young man smiled behind the moving black fog covering his form. Slowly he disappeared along with a number of questions that began to appear in Xin Zhan's head.

In the next second what attacked Xin Zhan made him bounce far tens of meters away. Xin Fai had been under the control of that black-eyed man. And the tenfold strength was much greater than before.

All the questions in Xin Zhan's head he was tepis away. Nowadays it is much more important to focus attention on the fight in plain sight. One wrong move he won't survive. Although the one in front of him was his own father, the chances of dying were enormous. The man has no control over his own body. And what was left of him were only a few memories that might be hard to return.

Xin Zhan had already tried to dodge as much as he could but Xin Fai repeatedly managed to hit his body.

Blood was sticking high on Xin Zhan's shoulder, the young man fell to his knees in front of Xin Fai who had just plugged the sword. Half into the flesh of Xin Zhan, his own son.

Right now, Xin Zhan barely had the strength to recover himself. He's really gonna be over. Xin Fai was already far from his reach. Even to avoid it now he can no longer do it.

"Dad ..." Call Xin Zhan weak. His mouth again spits blood at both corners of his lips.

"I'm really sorry to let you go that day." He lowered his head, letting his haircut cover his blood-soaked face.

"Chen'er was so hit. He disappeared. Mom got sick and kept crying. I want to be ruined but I realize my position and I don't want to cry for your departure."

There was no reaction from Xin Fai.

And for the first time, under the dark sky and the sword in Xin Fai's hand that was about to plunge into Xin Zhan's head. Xin Zhan was crying. Withstood all the burdens and sobs she held for years.

"I'm not that strong. I'm not a great big brother to hold all the weight on my shoulders. Caring for my mother, looking after my sister, taking on the great responsibility of being the first Pillar of the Empire, converging all the expectations of society on me. I'm just a weakling. Only a fool would try to always stand in front of the others. Even when I feel incapable ..." His words stopped, Xin Zhan's lips twitched. And he only hoped that back then Xin Chen didn't see it. Seeing the fragile side that he always hid.

"I always miss the times I told you about my days. It feels so relieved. Even though you did nothing to help and instead worried about the careless Xin Chen during practice. Father ... Can you come back? I feel unable to be you. I have always admired you and wanted to be you when I was an adult. That dream turned out to be the most terrible thing."

Xin Zhan wanted to speak even more before his life would drift in a matter of seconds.

"You know, it's not just your family. But everyone is waiting for you. This war has been going on for so long. Why did it all become like this?"

Xin Zhan looked up at his face. Now the sword eye was just above the base of his nose. In a moment, it would pierce through his skull. No doubt his death was in sight.

"I don't know what else to say. There are so many things I want to say before I leave. But, if you don't want to listen." His sentence was cut off, he heavy-heartedly said. And at the same time, his left eye let out a tear.

"Kill me."

Those black eyes were empty like lifeless.

Xin Fai opened her eyes. The sword in his hand he threw away. The man knelt down in front of Xin Zhan who was silent for quite a while.

It looks like a strange movement. Xin Fai's body rejected something she was told. But in the end, his hand still escaped and was now strangling Xin Zhan who was not dodging him at all.

The grip is getting tighter. Xin Zhan barely breathed. His neck felt like it was about to crumble. Xin Zhan's eyes blurred, his consciousness would disappear. But for a moment he could see his father's mouth moving without a sound.

"Don't go."
