Ch. 175 - Waking up from Death

The lightning chain stings appeared everywhere, the light spots that spread in the room slowly faded away then disappeared. Leaving the only illumination was the blue fire on the table.

Shui's eyebrows shot up, he pointed to the back where a body had just been awakened. But there was an odd thing coming out of that body, Xin Chen glanced back. His feet reflexively retreated.

The Lightning Fox had woken up from its death, but Xin Chen seemed to have no idea who it was. It feels foreign and also very cold.

The silver eyes of the fox opened, just after a fierce thunder fell on one of the trees in the headquarters of the Four Surveillance Units. Suddenly the commotion spread instantly, one member was killed immediately hit by the lightning.

Then within a few minutes of outside the base, the other members noticed such an oddity in the sky of the Valley of the Gods. The sky was completely overcast, making the atmosphere at that time very terrible but did not feel the storm wind coming along with the overcast.

"Master Fox, you-"

The fox clawed at him from a distance away, but the attack hit him immediately. Xin Chen dodged and disappeared using the spirit body. He appeared in the other corner of the room. Observing the body of the Lightning Fox even more closely.

Abstract lines in the form of black patterns spread across the body of the Lightning Fox, Xin Chen recalled that the shape of the line was the same body pattern when the Lightning Fox changed its body to its original form which was much larger in size. The power of the lightning that had gathered above the sky started to fall, the Lightning Fox absorbed it in an incredible amount.

Xin Chen saw that enormous flow of power go into a single point on the Fox's head where the gem was.

"You have to stop him, Chen. I think his animal nature is out of control."

Shui retreated when Xin Chen told him to, he ran as fast as he could intending to inform the humans who happened to be around the place to immediately move away.

Yet a huge explosion surged, sending itself bouncing a second time. Shui till kissed the ground with a half-dead face.

"good. Twice already, it was kissing the wall now the ground. Look at you, Fox."

Too late. Something out of control has happened. The Lightning Fox changed to its original form, smashing the building all the way to its roofs until it fell to pieces. Xin Chen took out a flute, humming the Water Smile to help the Fox calm down.

The fox was roaring strongly, its voice echoing all over with lightning scorching, creating an increasingly dark atmosphere of mist within the headquarters. The eyes were brightly glowing, sweeping the gaze down where the humans looked small in his eyes. His hand was raised upwards, smashing into the earth for a moment. Three giant claw lines fell through the building and bridge to get to the main gate. Such a powerful force made the Four Surveillance Units panic.

Xin Chen did not remain silent. Upon seeing the Lightning Fox go berserk, he instantly used the Black Line to hold back the Fox's two hands. The black rope tied the fox's wrist, and the others began to circle his body. Xin Chen intended to lock in his movements.

Yet the Lightning Fox fought back, destroying her Black Line and starting to damage again.

Xin Chen did not want to hurt the fox. But it seemed that the only option he had was to make the Lightning Fox faint. He unleashed spirit power, tens of thousands of them flying up into the sky. Fused together with lightning and clouds that accompany the fox's rampage. The power of the spirit craze, it had long since not gained the spirit collision was moving wildly and difficult to control.

Xin Chen created a giant eagle demon from that spirit, its size was indeed only a quarter of the body of the Lightning Fox. But his flying speed would not be able to be followed by any enemy. The black eagle began to flap its wings, as the claws of the Thunder Fox were about to tear him away disappeared among the cloud fog.

The fox grew fiercer, its power slipped out of control and began to sting the people down there. Xin Chen did something else, he messed up the flow of lightning power that kept pointing at the fox's body. While the Spirit Eagle quietly flew behind the back of the Lightning Fox, smashing its body so hard that the fox almost lost its balance.

Another blow followed, the eagle had a chance to knock him down. Five strikes in a fast time before the Lightning Fox created a ball of lightning and unleashed it. It shot towards the eagle that had already disappeared, landing on one of the hills that instantly burned half of it.

His rampage was momentarily delayed as the silver eye caught something moving shrouding the sky and the ground around him. The black sheath once again encircled the headquarters of the Four Surveillance Units, and two other spirit eagles appeared.

The Lightning Fox was confined within, unable to move much and at the same time the spirit birds started attacking.

A sharp swooping sound distorted his sense of hearing. The fox tried to exterminate the spirit bird which was growing in number. From what was only tens now may have touched the numbers tens to hundreds of thousands. The fox still did not give up on catching the eagle that had been clawing at it ever since. He began to get frustrated in the spirit confinement.

Lan Zhuxian who was outside the veil noticed the fight between Xin Chen and the earth lord's demon with concern. The place under construction was mostly destroyed caused by foxes. If this continues he fears one headquarters will have to be renovated.

Meanwhile he saw Xin Chen trying to stop the fox.

For a moment, it sounded a much louder roar from within the sheath. Bad sign, because after from the black sheath it streaks of lightning light out. Then something exploded violently inside.

The men saw the ground shaking for a few seconds. The Lightning Fox raged. Xin Chen knew what he had to do to stop the Lightning Fox.

But his steps were held back. A power that was far away thousands of levels above him came, making him slightly goosebumps. Xin Chen could not let go of the figure of the glowing man with his hair tied up to his waist. His clothes glowed, flying as the wind blew from above. He had a sword carved by foreign inscriptions.

Those terrifying white eyes momentarily looked at him, accompanied by a loud bang that continued to hammer. The surrounding ground cracked and started floating in the air along with flakes of light circling the figure.

Xin Chen was still stunned by the power that the Lightning God possessed. The giant hand that usually appeared above the sky to drop the Lightning Curse could now be seen directly. The hand rose, gathering the power of the lightning that had been chaotic onto it.

A circle of light was created, along with the strong wind in the Valley of the Gods. The gigantic body of the Lightning Fox was lifted, the demon was unable to resist because in the previous few seconds its entire body was numb. He can't bring out his own power.

The Lightning God slammed the body into the ground, a great tremor made the entire valley tremble for up to five minutes. The puff of smoke began to slowly dissipate, leaving behind ruins and traces of chaos. The Lightning Fox had returned to its usual body. Huo Rong who was not far from there immediately came to the Lightning Fox and confirmed her condition.

Xin Chen was about to chase after the figure who had saved this headquarters from the fox's rampage. Yet the Lightning God disappeared for not long, without saying anything. Cloudy clouds had split above the sky, everything was back to normal like before.

Xin Chen turned around, looking for the whereabouts of the Lightning Fox until he found Huo Rong holding her teacher to one place to lie down.

Along the way she and Shui could see about eleven buildings destroyed just like that, there were no fatalities only that most of them suffered from minor injuries to severe injuries. Lan Zhuxian who had arrived first arranged for the group to provide quick handling for those injured. The other members of Unit One immediately intervened, shoulder to shoulder, restoring the headquarters. They had little idea what had just befallen the headquarters of the Four Surveillance Units and were only doing the orders given.

The fox has been secured. Xin Chen and Shui noticed her plight, she was unconscious but at least Xin Chen was so relieved when he heard the sound of her heartbeat. The Lightning Fox was breathing so weakly. Thinking it best to let the fox rest, Xin Chen asked Huo Rong to take him to one of the nearby dorms in the headquarters.

After providing a resting place for the Lightning Fox, Xin Chen intended to help repair the many broken things outside.

Huo Rong who was already outside helped restore the headquarters looked grumbling, "That's a big friend of mine. Being unconscious can still trouble people."

Although he looked angry, it was faintly seen that Huo Rong was holding back her harbour. He and the Lightning Fox had a strong bond of friendship. Xin Chen even still remembered when he passed on the news of the death of the Lightning Fox to that Fire Salamander. His fiery rage could have destroyed a single ocean.

He wiped his face full of sweat, hoeing the ground while occasionally scolding his subordinates whom he thought were not at work.

"Hurry up and get that done over there, sneak. I don't want to see it like that, just piss me off."

"Where can we clean up this damage in just one night?"

"Your grandmother said, yes. Said I didn't! Just do!"

Shui came with Xin Chen, looking enthusiastically at Huo Rong's face the Blue Mane mocked him.

"There's one excited person, heh. Be careful you'll even hoe your own leg."

Huo Rong lifted her hoe while cursing, "Your head here is what I hoe."

He turned towards Xin Chen, "Why are you here? Not to look after the fox. If he changes again it could destroy this one base he made!"

"Maybe it took a long time for him to come to his senses. I want to help the ones here first. You're the one who's looking after her."

Xin Chen took the hoe in Huo Rong's hand. As far as his eyesight, Huo Rong's body and muscles changed a lot since the last time they met. Huo Rong worked desperately to build the Headquarters of the Four Surveillance Units until it could be as big as it is now.

"Rest for a moment. Let me take care of it here."

Huo Rong smiled, appreciating his kindness and without much refusing to go straight to where the Foxes were.

When he stepped up, Xin Chen said annoyedly.

"Oi, oi, that's over there. Who told you to come get some rest?"

Shui looked back awkwardly, he scratched his ear. "Eh ... I'm tired too."

"Help here!"

"Haisss," grunts. Helping half the heart. Improvements are carried out up to one day, because many workers also save a lot of time. Xin Chen intended to throw a small party in appreciation for their hard work as long as he was not around.
