The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 190 - Strength Control

Fireflies were flying in the deep night sky, they rose upwards, flying high as the hands of the Thunder Fox rose upwards.

But the fireflies were not ordinary insects, they were five times larger than the real ones. Their form materialized from the lightning power of the fox. Their bellies glowed, containing a lightning core strength that was fairly strong. Enough to blow one head to pieces.

"Maybe we need to test it on some victim."

The Lightning Fox flew the firefly into the group of soldiers who were several hundred meters away from them. The fireflies flew far and fast, swooping sharply when they saw the target.

Then from where the Thunder Fox was, there was a sudden scream. Accompanied by an explosion. It only took a few seconds until it was as quiet as before. Xin Chen smelled the scent of blood so thick it came from the place where the voice sounded.

"That's it, right?"

"Teachers seem to be interested in those creatures, huh?" xin Chen asked, reading the slight interest in the face of the Lightning Fox.

"It doesn't mean I'm not alert. We can change the power, as I said, get to know your battlefield. With that victory is in your hands."

Xin Chen thought for a moment, studying his spirit power.

"My weakness is the strength of this spirit."

"It's not your weakness."

The defense of the Lightning Fox made Xin Chen's forehead wrinkle, "but if this power doesn't attack the infected and make them stronger, I can fight even better."

"Then the problem is within yourself" said the fox, putting both hands by the bonfire. Its fur was chilled by the night wind that brought the hurricane wind.

"I don't understand" he lamented.

But for a moment the Lightning Fox glanced at him with a tail of eyes, "Your strength is your own. Do you remember one of the basic lessons of a swordsman?"

"Control of power."

"To be precise," said the Fox as well as connecting him, "When you can control it one hundred percent, then you can create many new things from that power. You need that to take control of the battlefields of the Wei Empire. Your enemy is not a soldier, a warrior or a general. They are just thousands of dead humans."

Xin Chen asked further again, "Then how do I control-"

"I'm going to sleep. Think for yourself, you use your silver coin-sized brain once in a while. It's useless to be on display in your head?"

The Lightning Fox collapsed and turned its back, leaving Xin Chen who had just been struck by his sentence. He said, The fox is asleep. Xin Chen took a breath, adding to the patience.

But he felt lucky, with the existence of the Lightning Fox they could prepare for many things. The fox was astute and had a keen mind. Just now he created a type of attack that could make the infected crumble.

"Well, it's time to think for yourself. Put on a brain that's said to be only as big as a silver coin."

Xin Chen's mutter almost made the Lightning Fox pretend to sleep uproar. He turned around, "How? Have you met the answer?"

"It's also been a minute." Xin Chen sneered, "Maybe-"

The fox turned to something else, "You have a map or whatever it is about locations in the Wei Empire?"

"Map I have." Xin Chen took out a paper as wide as the size of the table, giving it to the Thunder Fox who was then silently staring at the entire inside of the paper. Xin Chen returned with his thoughts.

Spirit power was a power that was referred to as calamity by the people of the Qing Empire. In his time, this power enslaved and slaughtered thousands of humans. Often his spirit controllers die by his own power, because the spirit power requires a tumbar as their food.

Despite being given many lives, this power was still difficult to control. They are violent and can penetrate into the soul of the owner. Destroying the soul and its worst case, the controller forgets memory and begins to attack humans.

That was what happened so often in the Qing Empire back then. Xin Chen took out a book that he had last read when the war in the Valley of the Gods began. Jun Xiaorong's notice book, Jun Xiang's father was one of the members of Unit One.

He himself heard that Jun Xiaorong stopped working in the Qing Empire and returned to the Shang Empire. Emperor Qin rewarded him as a brave spy, devoting himself to the Shang Empire selflessly.

The book was opened, it was so dull. It might have been up to a hundred years old, because the moment Xin Chen turned every page he felt that his paper would crumble into ashes. The lighting of the bonfire illuminated the book. Xin Chen had already read through everything, he made sure once more and still did not get a clue as to what the Fox had said.

He intended to close the book.

Then looking at the Lightning Fox, his forehead creased again, getting deeper and deeper.

His hands hurriedly opened the sheets, searching each page. There's nothing new there. But Xin Chen looked at one sheet that looked odd. He separated that one page by pulling it up. The paper looked bloated. Like something was put in it. When Xin Chen looked at every edge of the paper, there was an adhesive there.

Xin Chen tore the paper. Found one very, very thin, black-covered book. He even felt that the book was not made of paper, but rather the wings of a large butterfly. The writing on it was engraved with black ink, barely legible.

In the book are some surprising things.

'Dangerous power, not reserved for beginners.'

He turned the next page. I can't believe how a man could write and create a picture of a man using a paper butterfly wing. This book is very strange. Xin Chen felt a bad aura from him, extremely strong.

From the picture painted there, there is a human form that sits cross-legged. The flow of power in the body is focused only on the head. The meaning in it was complicated to explain, even by Xin Chen himself.

"Master Fox, do you understand this?"

The Lightning Fox glanced slightly, "Oh, I know."

"What means?"

"That means ...."

The fox flipped through the map, not taking a look off the map paper. Letting out a long pause thus made Xin Chen wait.

As the fox suddenly looked at him, Xin Chen was waiting even more.

A satisfied laugh sounded from the Thunder Fox, Xin Chen stroked his chest as patiently as possible. Back to that paper.

"The power's stable?"

From the direction of the strength of the several clues around his body, Xin Chen was able to confirm the illustration of it saying that only a stable spirit power could work for the power. On the next page, there is a picture of two men.

One of them is a spirit controller with stable power, attacking the other human.

There was only an image without explanation, where could Xin Chen possibly understand what was described in it. All of a sudden in the next sheet the man in the picture went berserk. The spirit controller does something. But instead of killing the enemy with spirit power, Xin Chen still wondered why in the previous painting the person was rampaging.

The next sheet was only an explanation that Xin Chen was increasingly unable to understand. He saw only one last picture.

The entire spirit-controlling human body was filled with black engravings, like a triangle with eyes on its heart. Abstract black stripes are connected from the tip of the foot to the head.

Closing the book for a moment. He felt his head full until he could think of nothing more.

"Have you met?"

Xin Chen was shocked.

"Until such a shock. You read what?" The fox was astonished, not usually seeing his disciple startled.

"Something is weird. Dangerous power he said, but it seemed very dangerous."

"Try to explain."

"I just don't understand" he said, silent for a few seconds staring at the Fox. Imagining these two people was him and the Fox.

Xin Chen unleashed spirit power, from which he saw only a small portion of them to attack the enemy.

Deadlocked at the end too. It had tried how many times Xin Chen had found nothing.

"Ah, rather than the strange sheet it's better to think about controlling the spirit power." His inner.

Xin Chen retrained the spirit power, using his subconscious for a longer time.

The starless night was filled only by the sound of crickets, until finally a dark morning followed. Xin Chen opened his eyes again.

"I found a way."

"Oh, have you met?" The Lightning Fox had just burned the fish it caught from the river, was burning it for breakfast.

"No. I mean how to control the power of the spirit to be what I saw from last night's book. But this is a little bit of a distraction to my mind. "

The Lightning Fox frowned. But without much question sharpened the eyes, looking at the flow of black power within Xin Chen's body centered on the head. And also in his chest.

"Then?" The Lightning Fox added, "We don't have time to linger for your training. This morning maybe a bunch of soldiers will come."

"Good, I want to test something."

As expected of the Thunder Fox, fifteen men with heavy armor, complete shields, helmets and powerful swords came. They are not just soldiers. One of them knew of their existence and immediately pointed.

The fifteen men raised their swords high, ready for battle. Xin Chen stood in front of the fox. Channeled the spirit power in his body, controlling the flow with a high level of focus. Xin Chen to the point of not hearing the noise around him, only the sound of the power flow was heard.

A spirit force moved towards a soldier, passing through the head of the soldier - as exemplified in the book last night.

What happened beyond suspicion.

But not what Xin Chen expected. The spirit power hit the soldier's helmet until the man's head was pierced. But he remained standing, only taking a few seconds to regain consciousness.

"Buck, what was that?"

"Damn ... Failed." Xin Chen smiled clumsily as he stared at the fox's careless face.

"Twenty blows to this one." The fox took out a branch of his favorite tree.

"Even teacher, I'm just trying."

"Kill them!!!"

One voice boomed, like lightning in the morning. Then they let out firecrackers as a signal to the other soldiers. Xin Chen and the Fox had no other choice but to face them.

With their backs to each other, Xin Chen and the Thunder Fox fought against dozens of warriors in thick armor. It took three slashes to release the armor and kill them.

One by one they fell. Until the last Xin Chen used the power of lightning and pierced his stomach with the Steel Phoenix Sword. Only once attacked, the enemy died.

"Once again the lives of dozens of humans you snatched away," muttered the Thunder Fox that his disciple could still hear.

"We are not given a choice. Today I killed dozens of them. But if left unchecked, in the future they kill hundreds of us."

Spirit power came out, eating the bodies of fallen humans lying on the ground until there was nothing left but armor and swords. They surrounded the entire forest until all that was visible was a black fog.

Xin Chen looked at the one corpse the spirit had not eaten, looking flat. Then unite both thumb and forefinger into a triangle.

At that time he just idly put one spirit power into the body of the corpse.

Xin Chen retreated, watching the corpse wake up from its death.
