Ch. 40 - The Mind Controller
Compared to thinking about the bad things that were not necessarily true in his mind, Xin Chen immediately acted.
A light gathered at the center of Xin Fai's palm, a loud sound rang out in the ears. Within a split second after that shot of light came out attacking Xin Zhan who had no time to dodge. Xin Zhan's distance was too close that he couldn't get away from the range of the attack.
A black shield dispelled the direction of the attack, Xin Chen embracing it for a moment. They can't go forward at the moment, and seem to think of strategies first better. Xin Fai was too strong. Even Xin Chen alone was not sure that his father had used his true strength, or rather all of the attacks that he had just unleashed were merely openings.
Said opening, the situation around them has been made to ravage due to his actions.
Xin Chen hissed, his hand that channeled the power to make the spirit shield earlier started to fade.
Again and again they are looking for a safe place. Behind the piles of corpses that were piling up the two sat leaning back, at least recovering a little energy.
Her brother, Xin Zhan noticed some parts of Xin Chen's body fading with worry. But not at all. Their current state, could be said to be like a dying person fighting against the savage ruler of the jungle. No one could be expected to help at the time. Lan An, the last time Xin Zhan saw her the man had been seriously injured. The other pillars of the Shang Empire were completely hopeless.
Who should they ask for help.
Xin Zhan did not want that sense of helplessness to further corner them.
"There must be a way to bring his consciousness back."
"Do you think he's possessed? By some kind of spirit or demon?"
Xin Zhan peered back, a huge rampage occurred. The ground they were sitting on was currently trembling. It seems to add a sense of danger to both. Anyone who was in their position back then would definitely be frightened. The male who was their opponent back then, he had an amount of strength that was as great as the Dark Dragon. And the more unlucky they have to face two types of enemies with power beyond that god.
This fight is becoming more and more impossible. Xin Zhan went back into hiding, staring in front of him while breathing calmly. His eyes closed when he answered.
"I knew. It was not a technique of some kind of spirit or demon use. If he is possessed, his mind will work like a living being. Dad just moves and attacks like a dummy toyed with."
Xin Chen looked at him more and more seriously.
The Dark Dragon's rampage boomed, indirectly Xin Chen could feel the negative energies from all directions starting to approach. That means, the Dark Dragon is moving to their place.
"The Mind-Controlling Master of the Dou Clan."
Xin Chen never knew that. He waited for his brother to explain further.
"There was a Clan on the border of the Shang Empire and the Qing Empire that never claimed to be sovereign with any Empire. But even so they stayed in the Qing Empire. Almost no one ever knew about them. And the strength of their eyes ... Extremely dangerous. You can die just by looking them in the eye."
It was only the first time Xin Chen found out about it. Dou Clan. Does it have any connection with the clan that was once said by the 18-general.
"And as far as I know, their technique is very powerful. Letting go of the influence of the Mind-Controlling Science is impossible. Or it won't even be let go until we kill who's controlling dad right now."
