The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 134 - Labyrinth Hallway

The day went without hope. Night comes interspersed with noise from behind the labyrinth's slash. Sounds pretty awful. Occasionally there was a commotion, maybe one of the demons that Lang said lost and became the food of thousands of undead.

Xin Chen heard it, the sound of intestines being pulled from the stomach and the chewing of the bones. The state of the Qing Empire that was said to be extremely dire was a thousand times better than that of the Wei Empire. They had been destroyed and covered up, but the rest of them who were still standing continued to live.

The only thing Xin Chen was afraid of right now was that Emperor Wei was deliberately experimenting on his people, like this undead and would do the same to the Shang Empire. Imagining the entire population of the Shang Empire turning into undead and eating each other, it was a disaster he never wanted to find on his own land.

The silent silence in the middle of the labyrinth that was only filled by the three of them slowly faded away. Xin Chen woke up, couldn't bear to wait anymore and just kept quiet.

"I don't understand why you're preventing me from using spirit power."

Lang tilted his ears, heard Xin Chen's voice and went back to sleep regardless of the young man's words. Luo Li made a bonfire, the night wind felt piercing their bones. Only the sound of crackling from the branches engulfed in fire. Seeing that no one answered him, Xin Chen used spirit power.

The young man was shocked when the spirits who were supposed to be within his control reacted indignantly and left just to pierce through the walls of the labyrinth.

Lang woke up in shock.

"What are you doing?!"

The wolf panicked, along with Luo Li who immediately stood up in shock. Before long, a scream echoed behind the labyrinthine passage.

The dozens of spirits that escaped Xin Chen's hands were thrust into the bodies of the already uninhabited corpses, making them top-tier undead as well as possessing a sense just like humans. They crawled up the wall, so fast. Arriving at the very top, Xin Chen was able to see the undead staring mischievously at him. The sound of his screams was as if tearing through the sky, stirring up an incredible mess behind the walls.

Xin Chen retreated. This was truly a world she had never thought of. The sound of the screams of the undead still did not stop until the first minute. Then he saw that twelve of them had successfully climbed the walls of the labyrinth. Jump to the ground until their bones were crushed, but it had no effect at all.

Luo Li threw in an injection but none of it hit. Their movements were so fast that they could not be followed by their sense of hearing.

"It's dangerous, the night has come and we've just rang their dinner bell," restless Luo Li scanned the surroundings meticulously. The sound of screams from the left right made him unable to be sure from which direction the enemy came. The young man almost got a bite in the arm if Lang had not hit the corpse with his tail.

"Is it hard to wait while we figure out how? Not nothing you've made trouble, if a small problem is okay. But it's too late!"

Lang wanted to nag more but he stopped rambling as the commotion behind the labyrinth wall caught his attention. The undead slammed against the giant door, slowly piling up thousands of bodies making the iron holdings loosen. Luo Li who heard it only fell silent, but her facial expression could not lie. Their lives are on the edge. It was like being caught in a trap and the only way out was the door where they could die in just seconds.

"Think ways!"

"At least you told me about this undead! Other than the demon inside the labyrinth's passageway!" Xin Chen shouted so that Lang could listen to him, as the situation was already noisy. Luo Li raised her voice.

"They'll be lured by the commotion!"

It was thought by him, if indeed his conjecture was true then of course those people needed to take samples to be researched. There must be a way into the labyrinth.

"There must be someone watching us, somewhere they are. We need to find their hiding place!"

The pounding on the door grew fiercer, a pile of undead climbed up the very top of the door and began to fall down raining down the middle. The chase begins, Lang snuff out some who are lunging towards them.

Xin Chen himself ran towards the central door where hundreds of them started to enter. Open the giant door. Making Luo Li and Lang both hold their breaths.

"What else are you doing, rancid boy?!" Lang felt his heart stop as the pile of dead humans climbing up the door fell like ants. The distance with them was only a matter of meters again.

"Don't just stay there, you'll just die without being able to run anywhere!" yelled Xin Chen. "At least we have to get out of this place, we can find a way outside."

Luo Li and Lang were too panicked and immediately caught up with the place where Xin Chen was. Surrounded by bodies that are ten times more aggressive at night.

Xin Chen took out a firecracker that he had been keeping in his space ring all this time. Throw that thing to the farthest spot. True what Lang said, the undead were attracted by the sound.

They gathered to the place where the firecrackers rang loudly on the ground.

Luo Li was about to advance when the road in front of them began to be deserted. Xin Chen held back, forcing him to stand behind the wall. Meanwhile, the giant door will close by itself, while they are still there. Letting the undead move back to their original place and fill every road

"What are you waiting for?" Lang's head was forcefully subdued.

"Snuggle!" Xin Chen forced Lang and Luo Li down when a demon a quarter of the size of this labyrinth lunged at the herd of humans, crushing them with its footprints. The demon resembled a mountain tiger, but its legs and hands were webbed. One form of experiment that failed and was abandoned.

Not only the demon, several other demons came. The longer they wait, the door closes. Xin Chen waited impatiently. He spoke as soon as the last demon had entered the middle of the labyrinth

"Move! Move in!" Just as they entered the hallway door the crowd of undead chased after them. The firecrackers are dead. And again it happened, the giant door was pounded from the inside.

And now Xin Chen, Luo Li and Lang were confronted by one other disaster.

They had to deal with hundreds of thousands of undead in the labyrinth's passageway. In the middle of a cold, gripping night.

"Just pray tonight we won't be dinner."
