Fu Hua slid the body of the man he had killed to the edge, dragging him with all his might. The armor on the man's body doubled his weight.
"It may be disrespectful, but I need your identity in order to get inside. I'm sorry." Fu Hua had pondered his own actions, but he had no other choice. The girl changed her clothes in the Central Union uniform. Lastly, she tied up her long hair and put on a head guard. His appearance almost resembles a man if wearing these clothes.
Fu Hua took a deep breath. "It's all gonna end." Trying to convince himself he was able to go through hundreds of soldiers in front of him. Fu Hua can't kill unless he's found out, there's no guarantee he's safe there.
"If I don't survive then Xin Chen is the same, I won't let that happen."
His heavy steps slowly walked down the path illuminated by the Fire Mushroom. The closer to the back road of the Windmill, the more Fire Fungi are found deliberately installed to dispel the infected road. But on the front of that Windmill, the undead were enslaved. It was only bordered by a tall wooden rampart pointed above it.
His head continued to move to the left right, studying the entire place in front of him. From a distance there is a wagon containing some humans who are locked up like livestock, they will be hung like other humans in a giant windmill.
Fu Hua gasped when one of the prisoners escaped, his uniform was exactly like the one that Xe Chang was wearing. The man hugged his feet.
"Save us! Please, this is unfair ...! No need to save me is fine either, but my friends are in that cage-!"
The man was Wen, dozens of soldiers came dragging the man back into confinement. Wen fended off violently, so confidently when talking to one soldier who was held back because of her, it was Fu Hua.
The girl could see the person's name in her uniform, but could not understand why she had come to Fu Hua. His hands clenched, trying to speak in a whisper.
"I came here also to save my friend."
Wen who was pulled away looked pias, her pale dry lips quivering. His body slammed into a cage, a soldier flapping his head until stuck to the wood behind him. The man's nose was bleeding heavily, the cage was closed and Wen clutched the wooden cage.
"Please ..."
Fu Hua was immediately sidetracked as a thunderous voice tore through his eardrum, coming straight from the front of his face until Fu Hua forcefully retreated his face.
"Other than you wait?! Do your job, don't be dumb like a fool! You're too late and you don't know!"
It seemed that the one who had just rebuked him was a person whose position was quite high, his stature was frightening and his face was stiff like wood. But when he was angry, the look on the face was like a monster. Fu Hua walked as fast as he could and still got a punch from the man.
His left leg was hit by a kick, his shins were throbbing painfully. With a limp Fu Hua entered the inside of the Windmill which was unexpectedly so large. From below Fu Hua looked up, noticing that the mill was far more gigantic than he had seen from a distance.
Like a giant magical tree in fairy tales, but this is the bad version. The one hanging there is not an apple let alone a witch, but a living human being fed to the infected. It looks more like a massacre. Fu Hua no longer understood what had happened to this Empire.
His steps were held back when two people were chatting in secret, whispering to each other while working.
"You think the Emperor deliberately kept the infected for his tests?"
"This will be a terrible thing throughout history ... He'll give you the latest cure, strengthen the infected and I'll hear ..." He whispered even smaller and smaller so that Fu Hua could hear nothing but the word 'spread'.
"Hey, gibberish. Don't block my way if you don't want to die." Someone deliberately nudged her shoulder from the side, Fu Hua only realized she was in the middle of the room. Before being rebuked again like that, he immediately searched the inside of the Mill.
Upon entering a door guarded by one soldier, Fu Hua was held with a sword in cross in front of his chest.
"Oi, where are you going?!"
"Ah, uh ... I was called to duty here. Hanging the man ... To the Windmill?" the answer sounded suspicious, the man was not wearing any mask so there was clearly suspicion on his face, making Fu Hua anxious.
"1503, you ..." The man read the inscription on Fu Hua's shirt.
Fu Hua cut fast. He deliberately lowered his tone so that it sounded like a man, "I'm a new kid here, so I don't really understand my work yet."
Just in case the soldier wasn't suspicious of him, the man approached. Smiling meaningfully, "you smell like a woman."
Fu Hua prepared to take his knife in case something bad happened, gulp down the spit warning of the worst situation. He was completely surrounded if the man read his identity.
"Please introduce one of your women to me, don't keep it yourself hahah." A soft laugh rang out from her, Fu Hua laughed clumsily. His two fingers were as if frozen in an armor-plated uniform that was supposed to be stuffy. But how else, he can't do anything if he doesn't get the information.
At first glance he remembered a man named Wen when a cage was lifted with a large wagon. Seeing so many humans being the victims of this cruelty. He could not bear it either, barely shedding tears at the sight of the women and children begging for forgiveness.
"Hey, wait are you here? Your place of work is there, "pointing the man to the next room. Fu Hua agreed and immediately entered the next door. The guards said nothing and let Fu Hua in.
He climbed the steps one by one which led him to the top of the windmill. At midnight just when the moon was overhead, the Windmill stopped. The soldiers who served on top cut the strings of those humans with the help of tools so that they could do so in a place of control.
Long howling screams, became a dinner omen for the infected down there. The cries of death and the roars of the infected were united with the sound of rainwater, the surviving humans were hanged screaming. Know their deaths soon. Then in one hit, hundreds more ropes were cut.
The humans fell into a sea of corpses, eaten and mercilessly torn apart. Fu Hua watched it as he closed his mouth, unable to see but his eyes were unable to turn. This is a tragedy that has never happened before. The girl tried to calm herself down, though both her legs started to shiver.
He was assigned to take the hostages to a separate room, Fu Hua began to work on the task normally.
Someone beside her helped, Fu Hua felt that was her only chance to get information.
He's looking for one trick question, though,
"I heard some of those humans will be taken to the New Laboratory for research."
The man next to him was unsuspecting and immediately responded, "Know where?"
"From the others. They will be taken to the central end where the New Laboratory is located."
His interlocutor responded skeptically, "You're not wrong? Since when is the New Laboratory at the central end,"
"Oh? What then? Do you know where you are?" the fish are getting more fishing.
"You know I've been serving the previous Emperor since the beginning. New Laboratory has been built for a long time and never moved, indeed you will not find its location on any map. " The man's hand kept busy sorting, Fu Hua started to get sultry.
"You didn't tell me the location, from where I believe you know everything. The central end is safer, of course there the New Laboratory is."
His interlocutor was offended after getting Fu Hua's reply, "In the tunnel built under the Weizu River, the border of Guiza city. You must have just heard that, right, new kid? The kid just yesterday don't act. The right job."
Fu Hua would not be offended because he really needed the information, he raised his hand respectfully. "Ready to do."
Now that Fu Hua knew the location, from the map Lian had given him the Weizu River was only about three kilometers away.
"Then ... How do you know about this? Shouldn't it be a secret?"
"Sometimes I'm assigned to deliver the goods there"
Fu Hua began to look for a way to execute his plan, he took out a round bottle filled with yellowish viscous liquid. Quiet for a while when getting one other item that is quite important, namely the smoke bomb. He was holding it secretly. Then made a careless move until the bottle broke and splashed onto the soldier's clothes.
"Oh, hey, what are you doing?" Sounding a furious tone beside her, Fu Hua dodged. "There was an insect in the bottle, I was shocked and slammed it."
"Damn, it smells like rotten eggs. Arghh, just make this new kid work," he said as he walked elsewhere. Some kind of bathroom. Fu Hua stalked from behind, closing his eyes asking to be forgiven for his actions until he entered the male bathroom.
The man hung up his original uniform, went inside the bathroom. Fu Hua swiftly picked up the badge and identification marks on the man's shirt, swapped them for his own and fled as fast as he could.
So far the movement has been smooth. Fu Hua returned to his workplace, intent on finding a way out and instead locked onto a single point where he saw a male from the Central Military Faction staring at him. It's Wen.
The girl approached, "What can I do to help you?" Whisper while pretending to do the job. Wen was surprised, his guess did not miss. Wen replied quickly, "Direct their attention and give me time to open this cage."
Fu Hua circulated a glance, looking at the one guard he had marked since earlier. The man carries a key that locks the cage, the number is quite large. The girl walked over, doing the same ruse as before.
Clashing and cursing immediately slid against him, Fu Hua nodded, apologizing for nudging the man and returned to his workplace.
Wen who was not far from her looked down, Fu Hua dragged the key with her feet.
"I gave you seven seconds. Congratulations or not, it all depends on you." Fu Hua threw an explosive bomb under Wen's confinement.
The girl went somewhere else, she was looking for shelter behind a big box. Take out his arrow and start aiming at the candles and other lighting in the room.
In a matter of three, one by one the arrows struck the candles. Crush glass bottles filled with oil until fires begin to spread everywhere.
In the next second Wen detonated a smoke bomb. Unexpectedly the range was wide enough that one room was filled with thick smoke. Wen swiftly moved, destroying several confinements. His friends from the Central Military Faction who were about to be hanged came out, taking their weapons to fight against the enemy.
Fu Hua came out from hiding, approached Wen while saying, "I'm going to blow up this Windmill. Get your men out, quick."
Wen could not let the other humans get killed, he opened several confinements while Fu Hua laid explosives, within twenty seconds five very powerful explosives were about to tear down the place.
Fu Hua took quick steps, running as he could when the soldiers, unaware of death, were lurking at them, counting second by second.
Wen escaped with other prisoners, most of the people who escaped were killed on the spot. Only a few survived. But it seems better than dying as bait. Three people from the Central Military Faction were with Fu Hua including Wen. They ran as far as possible, climbed up the roof and stepped in a hurry.
Twenty seconds passed, Fu Hua flipped over as one huge explosion started to sound. Destroying the buffer pole under the Windmill until the body of the building began to drift. The two and third explosions followed simultaneously, Wen and his friend were almost in disbelief. A huge hole was created at the foot of the Windmill, the sound that indicated the Giant Windmill was about to collapse began to sound.
Fu Hua gulped, the explosion of the four buildings was badly destroyed but still stood firm. He waited for the fifth explosion and five seconds passed, the explosion did not happen.
"No ... One of them must've stopped that bomb"
The fifth explosion made Fu Hua surprised instead of playing, the intense tremors started to make their legs lose balance. Wen did not blink an eye, witnessing the large-scale destruction wrought without hesitation by a young girl."Miss, it looks like after this you'll be a big fugitive."
Fu Hua stared in front of him, where slowly above the dark sky the peak of the Windmill began to fall. The sound of ruins echoed, the hanged humans could not be saved. Then the giant body of the Windmill crashed towards the infected, destroying the high fortress that protected the Central Union soldiers along with the thick dust that flew up to where Fu Hua and the others were.
A huge bang struck, a strong wind blew to make their clothes flutter for several minutes. Fu Hua opened his headgear, the wind made his hair fly. His two sapphire eyes stared fixedly, as the Windmill hit the earth. It caused a pretty big earthquake. Then death was inevitable, thousands of people there became victims. Guilty or not.
"How did they build such a big Windmill in a matter of weeks?"
"The place was built with wood, some designs were prepared like that and I saw them build it with thousands of people. No need to be surprised to be able to stand that one monstrous giant in just a matter of weeks," said Wen also sliced to see what was happening in front of him.
"But ... If I become a fugitive, at least I have one fugitive friend as well."
"You mean, Chen?" Wen responded, not taking his eyes off the tragic scene ahead. When the infected feast on the humans. Soldiers on the road began to be chased. Luckily they were on the roof of a fairly safe building.
"You know him too."
"Yes?"
"A man in uniform just as you know him, he's a General. His name is Xe Chang."
"General-!" Wen's stunned. Fu Hua asked directly.
"Where do you know I'm not your enemy?"
Wen returned Fu Hua's gaze, "I accidentally saw you kill Central Guild people and take their clothes off when dragged in a cage wagon."
He added, "My instincts are strong, you must be that young man's friend. And sure enough."
The question has been answered. Fu Hua nodded and remained silent for quite a while.
At least his heart was a little relieved. Now there will be no more human candidates hanging on the windmill even though his head will be targeted. She wasn't so ready, but if she had to do it then Fu Hua wouldn't hesitate.
"Calm down, you're not alone. We are with you, it is not just about fighting for the Wei Empire, but everyone in the world."
Fu Hua understood Wen's intentions.
"And I'm Wen, my friends, Piao and Qio will help you. We owe you one, Miss ..." Wen hung up his sentence.
"Fu Hua" added Fu Hua.
"But I'm going to do this mission myself" Fu Hua said. His gaze fell on the rest of the ruins of the giant Windmill. "Come to the bridge near the sea. Your general will be there tomorrow."
"What about you?"
"I ..." There was a fear that infiltrated his heart, but Lian's warning made him fear that he would lose his chance if he brought a lot of people with him.
"Will go to the New Laboratory alone."
Wen, Piao and Qio were shocked.
Piao warned, "That place is far from safe, your chance of survival is not fifty to fifty."
His friend Qio added, "there are heavily guarded. Very-very tight. You can't go in any way, once caught, not arrested or held hostage, but murdered on the spot."
"Just pray it won't happen."
