Fang Yin and the merchant entourage reached the capital when the sun had completely sunk.
Lanterns lit up along the path they traveled. Fang Yin saw children running in the streets leading to their respective homes after hearing the cries of their parents.
This was the first time for Fang Yin to set foot in that place, so she did not know where the inn lay for her to rest that night.
The merchants went to a house that turned out to be their relatives. Fang Yin did not want to come with them and chose to go to the inn.
One of the merchant's relatives willingly escorted Fang Yin away to a nearby inn.
The hospitality of the residents of this city made him feel amazed. In matters related to morals and security, the Empire of the Eastern Continent lost far to the Empire of the Middle Continent.
Emperor Xi is famous for being assertive and nurturing so that his people become safe and prosperous. More and more people from the surrounding countries are migrating to the Central Continent.
The economy there is also fairly stable so as to make small kingdoms around it develop well.
Fang Yin finally arrived at an inn consisting of three floors. The relative of the merchant left him after making sure Fang Yin got the room he wanted.
Before leaving, Fang Yin rewarded him with a few pieces of silver coins, but he rejected them.
Again Fang Yin felt amazed by the morals and social spirit of the inhabitants of this city.
After paying the lodging fee for tonight, a waiter escorted her to her room.
From the window of his room, Fang Yin could see the view of the city at night. In the distance there is a crowd like a night market.
The lights lit up brightly and merchants lined up peddling their wares.
Kruuck!
Fang Yin's stomach rang out loud indicating that he was currently hungry.
"God! I forgot I haven't eaten all day."
Fang Yin took a bath with the water the maid had prepared for her. From the reflection of the mirror that was in the room, Fang Yin could see the dragon goddess symbol that was on her back shining.
Only this time could he see it directly and feel if the symbol looked so scary.
'It was only right then that people were scared to see it. The eyes of the dragon in this symbol look extremely cruel and frightening, Fang Yin said as he shuddered.
Immediately he turned his face the other way and finished his bath.
Having revealed her identity as a woman, Fang Yin finally appeared as a veiled woman.
Not wanting to look scary to the people around him, tonight Fang Yin was wearing slightly bright clothes. She used a white hanfu with a matching face cover.
Fang Yin's light footsteps made him reach his destination quickly. Once there he immediately bought some food that he liked.
After getting the food he wanted, Fang Yin sat over in a slightly dark and quiet place in order to be able to eat freely without opening her veil.
A small boy dressed in noble clothes ran towards him and hid behind his back and gave him a cue to stay quiet.
'What happened to this boy?' Fang Yin wondered in his heart.
Without asking her permission, the boy ate Fang Yin's food. Fang Yin let it go because he was already full.
Not long after that a young man came there with a few bodyguards.
He looked back and forth and walked around like he was looking for something.
Fang Yin did not know what to answer. He had no idea who the child was and who was the one who was looking for this.
"Sa .. I ...." Fang Yin was just about to answer him but somehow the story of the young man leading the bodyguards was already behind him and was hammering out the child's ears.
"Auuhh, ouhh .. ouch! Sick brother!" the boy shouted while holding his ear. The food he was holding fell and scattered on the ground.
"Basin' bad boy! It's been said that going out has to carry a bodyguard still breaking." The young man then removed his hand from the boy's ear.
Fang Yin felt relieved that the child was not being bullied by bad people but rather a child who was pranking his family.
"Sorry, Sir. I don't know your problems. Let me go!" Fang Yin fused his hands together and saluted them before leaving the place.
"Thank you for the food, brother. I'm sorry I dropped it" said the boy.
The young man glared at the direction of the boy and returned furious when he saw his sister's mischief.
"Miss, please forgive my sister. I will change these foods" said the young man with regret.
"No need, Sir. I'm already full. Excuse me!" Once again Fang Yin saluted and turned away.
The young man did not want to give up and felt the need to apologize to him.
"Then give me a chance to treat you to tea as an apology." The young man continued to follow where Fang Yin walked to.
The little boy had already run out of nowhere with his guards.
"But ...." Fang Yin stopped his steps and lowered his head without daring to stare at the face of the young man before him.
"Come, Miss!" The young man remained adamant with his wishes.
Fang Yin followed him behind towards a very crowded teahouse.
The young man pulled out a bench for Fang Yin and let her sit down first then went to order a drink for them.
The extremely bright tavern made Fang Yin able to see the young man's face clearly. His eyes widened when he found the young man's face very similar to the person he was very familiar with.
"Ji-Jian Yu!" Fang Yin involuntarily mentioned Jian Heng's name.
His chest rumbled holding back his feelings. His blood rippled warmly flowing all over his veins. Desire rattled his originally calm heart.
"I'm sorry, it looks like you got the wrong person, Miss. I am Xi Hao Xiang. Do I look like someone you know?" The young man who claimed to be named Xi Hao Xiang smiled faintly at Fang Yin.
That smile was the same smile as Jian Heng's. Fang Yin did not know if in fact Jian Yu's real name or elder Yu was Xi Jian Heng, the third Prince of the Middle Continent Empire.
"Ah, yes. Sorry sir, I was too presumptuous to have equated you with my friend." Fang Yin lowered his head not daring to look at Hao Xiang.
"No need to feel sad, miss. There are many people in this world who have similarities. May I know what your name is, Miss." Hao Xiang felt attracted to Fang Yin despite not being able to see her face.
'I don't know what your face looks like, Miss. But I'm pretty sure you're pretty.' Hao Xiang continued to look at Fang Yin's face without blinking.
"My name, Xiao Yin," Fang Yin replied briefly.
