The days kept changing and time passed so quickly. It did not feel that Fang Yin had been in the Imperial palace of the Middle Continent for a month.
A lot of things he's been through there. His familiarity with the palace's nuclear family envy anyone who sees him.
Emperor Xi treated Fang Yin very special. He felt even more amazed at the girl for never being tempted by the gifts she offered.
In order for Emperor Xi not to be disappointed, Fang Yin took a wage equal to the wages given to the palace master. Other than that, he did not want to accept it.
During that time, a lot of things happened. A small quarrel between the three princes, Jing Jihua's jealousy, and Fang Yin's closeness to her students.
Jian Heng was often jealous when there was a young male healer looking for an opportunity to get close to Fang Yin. He did not hesitate to reprimand her and asked her not to seek attention.
Not only that, Jian Heng also prohibited anyone from personally giving gifts to Fang Yin. The news reached Emperor Xi's ears, but he did not mind what his son was doing.
One night, Fang Yin went for a walk outside the palace to see the festival. This celebration is carried out every hundred days as a place of friendship between citizens.
"The young healers have made a lot of progress. Perhaps another week or two of my duties will be completed," Fang Yin said to Jian Heng as he walked along.
Jiang Heng looked at Fang Yin with a dejected look. With the completion of the task, the two will again separate.
Just as they were silent, Fang Yin felt the same sadness. His voice seemed to be stuck in his throat when he was about to speak again.
To melt the atmosphere, Fang Yin pointed to a spectacle presented by the children. They performed dances and opera.
The two stood in the front row and looked at the show enthusiastically. Fang Yin and Jian Heng tossed the gold coins on the box provided. Voluntary donations collected will usually be used in the public interest.
Fang Yin and Jian Heng moved from one show to another until their entire show came. They did not wait for the entire show to end and immediately returned to the palace.
The entire palace dwellers also went to the festival held in different places. Jian Heng knew the place his family would visit so he chose a different location.
"I saw the palace family and important officials going out to go to the festival, but why haven't I met anyone here since?" Fang Yin revealed his astonishment as he walked home.
Jian Heng turned his head in the other direction to hide his mischievous smile.
"Maybe they went to a different location. I myself also do not know where they are going," elak Jian Heng. Though he deliberately did so in order to be able to go alone with Fang Yin.
Before returning to the palace, they bought food sold by merchants who lined the streets. Crowded visitors make them both have to be willing to queue.
No one recognized Jian Heng as the third prince because he wore a simple outfit. As well as Fang Yin, the two of them looked like an ordinary folk.
They walked to a desolate place then darted flying into the air after no one noticed the two. Bright moonlight adds to the romance of both.
Elsewhere, Changyi and Hao Xiang rode their palanquins with the retinue of the palace family. Both of them are bored because they cannot move freely. They were kept under guard and guarded by special forces.
Usually the royal family will be the center of attention of the people present at the festival so they need security. Their high status will provoke various kinds of crimes.
In every opportunity they glanced to and fro to search for the whereabouts of Jian Heng and Fang Yin. At first they all left together. However, just as everything was departing, Jian Heng asked to come down again from the palanquin and change clothes.
Previously he had made a promise with Fang Yin. The two agreed to meet outside the palace at a designated place.
The palace family had yet to return when Fang Yin and Jian Heng landed pretty in the palace. They enjoyed the food they bought while sitting in the garden under the moonlight.
The two no longer talked about farewell and only talked about the festival they were watching. They did not wait for the palace retinue to come home and chose to rest before they returned.
"Xiao Yin! Xiao Yin!" call Jian Heng. He kept knocking on the door of his room a few times.
Jian Heng called back to him and there was no answer either. These two days he went on a duty from his father to resolve disputes in the border region. He did not know if Fang Yin's task had been completed and left the palace this morning.
A servant came over to Jian Heng and saluted him. He was sure that the returning Jian Heng did not know that Fang Yin had left this palace this morning.
The servant bowed and replied, "Miss Xiao left this morning, Your Majesty."
Jian Heng's eyes were rounded. He could not believe what the servant said. According to him it was impossible for Fang Yin to leave this palace without waiting for him.
"You don't joke. I don't want to joke."
The glare of his sharp eyes made the servant guts out. Everything he said was the truth but he felt fear if Jian Heng did not believe it.
His face looked pale and his body became frozen. His mouth was so hard to open even though he was eager to explain everything he knew.
Jian Heng looked impatient and was almost enraged at him. Lucky the servant who used to serve Fang Yin came before them.
"Greetings, Your Majesty. Are you looking for Miss Xiao?" ask the waiter.
Jian Heng nodded. On his face was clearly a picture of anxiety. His heart was in a curiosity between believing and disbelief with the news he had received from the previous servant.
The personal servant Fang Yin conveyed the same thing and gave a scroll containing a message to Jian Heng. He didn't talk much because he knew how the man before him felt.
The two servants chose to leave Jian Heng alone.
Jian Heng threw the jirah that stuck to his body in any direction. He did not care about the sound of his throw would shock the people around him.
His body felt helpless. He walked nonchalantly into his room while gripping firmly on the scroll in his hand.
Arriving inside the room he locked the door of his room and leaned there. His body slowly sagged down and sat on the floor.
"Why are you so cruel to me, Xiao Yin? I know you're leaving, but at least you'll have to wait for my return."
Jian Heng clenched both of his hands then hit the floor hard. The room shook and a hole appeared on both sides, right where his fist clashed against the marble floor.
