Cultivation Goddess
Chapters 370. Journey

Jian Heng had chosen the ten warriors who would come with him to go to the Eastern Continent. They are the chosen soldiers who have become subscriptions to perform important missions.

Shortly before his departure, a soldier approached one of the soldiers who was in the very back position and threw him with a poisonous needle. The poor soldier fell down and died.

Before his body fell to the ground, a foreign man disguised as a soldier grabbed him and dragged him away. He hid it in a place rarely visited. The man moved very quickly then returned into the ranks to replace the soldier he killed.

No one suspected him because they were wearing the same uniform as them.

Jian Heng walked leisurely leaving his palace. He did not care that his bodyguards were ready and was waiting for him in the front courtyard of the palace.

After bidding farewell to his family, Jian Heng felt calmer to leave.

'After today, I will come to this palace as a guest.' Jian Heng stared at the magnificent palace belonging to his family.

The memories during his stay there would never disappear from his heart. He walked past every corner of the palace and looked at her feelingly. It looks back on his childhood with his two brothers who are currently on a mission. They must have been very angry after knowing he left without waiting for them.

Jian Heng's feelings were so mixed today. For a moment he smiled, for a moment grieved, and once in a while he looked calm like he had not thought of anything.

Jian Heng stepped even faster as he almost reached where the soldiers gathered waiting for him. However, he suddenly stopped when he saw a token belonging to the special forces lying before him.

'This is a token belonging to a special warrior. How could he be too careless and drop it here.' Jian Heng spread his gaze around.

To his left was an empty building that had been abandoned by its owner. The building looks still solid but not maintained. Jian Heng watched the surroundings.

The few guards around the empty building were almost non-existent. No one passed the place where Jian Heng stood.

"What's this?" Someone was lying before him in a prone position. Jian Heng turned his body then checked his pulse. The soldier no longer breathes.

'Isn't this one of the special guard members who will accompany my journey? I wonder if anyone intentionally sabotaged or was it an ordinary accident.'

Before leaving the place, Jian Heng gave him a mark on the front of the building. Four guards were on patrol and saw the mark he made. He did not return to tell them and chose to leave to continue his journey.

The guards who were on the way were ready. Jian Heng entered the carriage reserved for him.

'The soldiers escorting me are still complete. I don't recognize them one by one. I'm sure one of them is an intruder. I don't know what the purpose is, I have to be careful.' Jian Heng monologued inwardly.

"We're leaving now!" jian Heng exclaimed at the coachman sitting at the front of his carriage.

Jian Heng's entourage set out for a journey of approximately two days. During the trip Jian Heng had to be vigilant and not to be let off guard. The intruders who were in his entourage could have intended to kill him.

Given the considerable distance they need to rest several times at the turn of the day. The sun began to descend into his quarrel, Jian Heng ordered his troops to stop where they were at the moment.

They had crossed the border of the capital and passed through a forest. Residential settlements in the eastern states were almost reached. If their journey went smoothly, they would arrive at the capital of the Eastern Continent Empire the next day before midnight.

Jian Heng gave a banquet to the soldiers who escorted him. They sit around the food they make. He purposely did this to observe the faces of his guards.

During this time Jian Heng spent more time outside the palace than inside the palace so he could not recognize them well. There was nothing he could suspect.

"Don't let you drop the token that became your identity as a special bodyguard. I want to see if you guys still have it?" jian Heng asked.

He hoped that this way he could catch a wet intruder who dropped his token.

'If the intruder was disguised as a dead special soldier of course he did not have the token because he had dropped it. The token is now in my hands.' Jian Heng felt confident that this method would work.

"We take good care of him, Your Majesty." One of the soldiers led the others to show his token.

Ten troops escorting him showed their tokens. Jian Heng felt astonished as all of them had the same token he had found on the way.

'It's weird. The intruder was so clever. I'm sure he's been in the palace a long time. His whereabouts are still a mystery but my heart tells me he is in this army. The dead soldier should have been in the army and before departure no one reported any changes.' Jian Heng tried to analyze.

"Do you want to drink wine? The air tonight is so cold. I'm afraid that your body's condition will suddenly decline."

Jian Heng took out a few vessels filled with wine. The wine it provides contains alcohol that has high levels. A person will become heavily drunk and lose consciousness after drinking it.

"The Third Prince is very kind. Isn't this a very expensive wine?" ask one of the guards.

"of course. Aren't I getting married after this? When will we meet again? Let's enjoy this togetherness before we part."

Jian Heng's words made them cheer happily. The soldiers took the wine one by one.

In order for no one to be suspicious, Jian Heng also took out a vessel but the contents were not wine like they drank.

'Drink as much as the Third Prince so I can kill you easily.' A man smiled demonically as he glanced towards Jian Heng.

The guards of Jian Heng were heavily drunk that night while Jian Heng was just pretending. He leaned his head against a tree and closed his eyes.

No one thought he was okay. His eyes squinted at the guards and coachmen lying on the ground. They raved incessantly with sounds that grew increasingly weaker.

Jian Heng counted their numbers while continuously pretending to be unconscious. He followed what his drunken army was doing so as not to arouse suspicion.

'The number of them is reduced by one. Since when did he leave? I can't come to a conclusion just because I lost a member of the army. Maybe he was throwing away. But I mustn't let my guard down, he could be working out an attack plan.' Jian Heng sharpened his sensitivity.

A movement of the fallen leaf was able to feel it and it was known where the leaf was. Jian Heng sensed a movement of someone walking silently behind him.

Jian Heng felt confident that the person had bad intentions towards him. The foreign footsteps drew closer and settled down right behind Jian Heng.

The intruder's hand began to swing a blade at him, Jian Heng held his breath and took out a protective armor just before the blade touched his skin.

The intruder immediately turned around and tried to escape. He still thought that Jian Heng was really intoxicated. Although it did not manage to kill him at least he would survive.

'The Third Prince's protective armour was active when danger approached him. I didn't want him to recognize me and give me a counterattack.' The intruder took a thousand steps leaving Jian Heng.

The technique of lightening his body had a level high enough that it made him leave quickly. Feeling that things were safe he paused for a moment to take a breath and looked back to make sure that no one was chasing him.

"Thank God! No one's chasing me." The intruder turned around and was aghast when he saw someone he was about to kill standing before him.

"I'm not after you but I'm waiting for you to get here." Jian Heng smiled mockingly.

Intruders look flabbergasted. There's no point in retreating. At this moment he had been caught off guard and had no more chances to run.

"Third Prince!" his screeches.

Jian Heng folded his hands on his chest. Without even taking out his aura he looked very dignified.

"You want to kill me, don't you? Do it!" jian Heng said casually.

The intruder now pulled out his sword. The sword was no stranger in Jian Heng's eyes because he used to be the owner.

"You stole my sword too? Goody! You are a good player. Before you attack me and make me die, I want to know why you're doing all this."

Highlight Jian Heng's eyes did not show his anger.

"The Third Prince has made the woman I love die. I'd rather she marry you than see her gone forever."

"It doesn't make sense. I've never been in a relationship with a woman other than Yin'er. You have been enslaved by love. I don't even know who the woman you are referring to is" Jian Heng said in an inexhaustible manner with the stupidity of the man standing before him.

"Jing Jihua" said the man again.

"So that spoiled girl is dead? No one should bother me as long as I stay in the palace." Jian Heng responded to the news that the intruder had delivered casually.

"You made him die. You broke her heart and suffered a prolonged illness. I know you don't love him but you shouldn't have killed him."

"Foolish man! Be careful with your words. Now I know who you are. You are the prince of the southern state. I'm so sad for you. Go home and forget about this." Jian Heng turned around. He did not want to incite a grudge with the crown prince of the kingdom who was in the imperial shade led by his father.

Prince Qin Meng An did not budge. Already far away he stepped, he did not want to let go of Jian Heng just like that. All this time. His identity had also been revealed before Jian Heng.

Qin Meng An attacked Jian Heng from behind with his sword. The sword was pointed at his neck and swung it from the right.

Jian Heng kept walking on his back without taking out any weapons. As Qin Meng An's sword almost touched his neck, he caught it with his right hand. The Diamond Treads he took out made the sword melt as it was touched by his hand.

Qin Meng An took out countless poisonous needles and threw them at Jian Heng. However, again he had to fail because the protective armor on Jian Heng's body held him back. The poisonous needles that were thrown down fell to the ground without even injuring Jian Heng.

"Easy! Don't test my patience. You should be thankful that I didn't repay you and let you just walk away after what you did to me." Jian Heng turned to face Qin Meng An.

"Pampered woman is not my taste. I'm not interested in him one bit. Whatever he does is none of my business. So, don't ever think that I'm the one who killed him. Don't be stupid Prince Qin!" jian Heng.

"I don't care! You are the one who caused him to die. Before it could kill you then Jing Jihua would never feel calm. I'm gonna do this for him and get this revenge on you." Qin Meng An remained on his stance.

"The mentally ill." Jiang Heng snorted annoyedly with an inexhaustible look.

Jian Heng no longer had any patience. Qin Meng An who refused mercy from him and chose to be his enemy. A blue-colored energy enveloped his body and exerted a great pressure to his surroundings.

To hold himself back from that pressure, Qin Meng An also gave off an aura of energy he possessed. He felt very confident because he had a reliable companion spirit.

The golden-horned black bull companion spirit appeared behind Qin Meng An. Its great aura made the place around them tremble. The collision of the two massive waves from their bodies caused a tremor that was felt up to several feet away from where they were standing at the moment.

"Lumayan," Jian Heng said as he sensed the aura of a bull spirit beast belonging to Qin Meng An.

"Now we show you who's better. I will kill you Third Prince, hiyah!" Qin Meng An started his long-range attack by throwing an energy ball towards Jian Heng.

Jian Heng dodged then countered him with the same attack. The two energy balls that collided produced a very loud explosive sound.

Not stopping there alone, the companion spirit beast Qin Meng An charged personally at Jian Heng with his radiance of energy darting towards him.

Jian Heng greeted the energy radiance with the same energy radiance through his left palm. His right hand was used to avenge Qin Meng An's attack itself.

They were too engrossed in fighting to not realize if anyone had witnessed their fight from the start. That person was Mo Bing, a swordsman who inhabited the territory. Although he did not like Qin Meng An's brash attitude but he did not want to interfere in their matters.

'I stern why Prince Qin is so stupid. Maybe he's the dumbest guy I've found in my entire life.' Mo Bing laughed amusedly.

The fight between Jian Heng and Qin Meng An began to unbalance as Jian Heng increased the energy he was expending to a greater degree. The energy emanated from his left palm suppressed the energy released by the bull spirit beast.

Jian Heng's glance was like he was about to draw the energy he emitted but arrived in the middle of the distance he was stomping it by adding it to several levels. What he did made the companion spirit beast Qin Meng An burn and slowly disappear.

Qin Meng An still did not give up as well and continued to attack Jian Heng with his energy throws. He attacked Jian Heng with a faster tempo of attack hoping that one of his attacks could injure him. However, the opposite is happening.

While focusing on his attack Qin Meng An forgot about how he should dodge. He could not dodge when Jian Heng unleashed an attack directed at him. Qin Meng An's body was dragged back by several steps as it was pushed away by the energy released by Jian Heng. Fresh blood spurted from his mouth and made his chest feel burning.

Qin Meng An was helplessly killed. His breathing was wheezing because he had a very severe internal injury. There was no longer any hope for life given his already extremely appalling state of affairs.

Without feeling pity Jian Heng left him. Before this he had warned her and given her a chance to leave. It was Qin Meng An who chose his death.

While walking to catch up with his guards Jian Heng felt the air of someone's presence not far from his place. The energy she had was much different from the energy of Qin Meng An and the people she knew. That foreign energy belonged to someone who might have never met him.

"When are you going to hide? Come outside!" yelled Jian Heng.

Mo Bing did not want to make trouble with the Third Prince of his country. He immediately came out and saluted when he arrived before Jian Heng.

"Mo Bing saluted, Third Prince."

Jian Heng nodded. His mood had not improved after the fight. The appearance of Qin Meng An who became an intruder in his army made him sultry.

"Do you also want to avenge someone I hurt? Looks like people are very happy to make trouble with me." Jian Heng felt inexhaustible over what had just befallen him.

"I'm not that stupid, Prince. Why do I offend you. Just a crazy man who sacrificed his life to avenge a woman who never loved him."

Jian Heng laughed at Mo Bing's words. His unique and funny style of speech makes him interesting. His facial expression looked so innocent every time he let out his words.

"Love stories are complicated. I don't blame her for going crazy after being rejected by Jing Jihua. Actually, both are a suitable pair. Equally crazy." Jian Heng turned around and walked back.

Mo Bing followed behind. The two of them leisurely walked towards the troop resting place. It was quite far from where his fight with Qin Meng An was.

"May I know where the prince is going?" ask Mo Bing.

His question sounded a little meddling and made him doubt whether Jian Heng would answer it or not. Although a warrior he was still an ordinary folk who should not ask such a question to a son of the supreme ruler of his country.

"I'll go to the empire of the Eastern Continent. Did you hear the news about Princess Gu?" Jian Heng hoped Mo Bing knew something about Fang Yin.

"I heard the news a little but didn't know what it was like."

Mo Bing's reply made Jian Heng look at him with twinkling of hope. Anything said by him would make him think if his future wife was in good shape.

"Say!" yelled Jian Heng excitedly.

"Princess Gu turned the Golden Lantern Hill in the region directly adjacent to the Northern Continent into the Eternal Snow Hill. I met some of the people who originally lived at the foot of the hill. They migrated to other safer areas" explained Mo Bing.

"Haha!" Jian Heng laughed. This time he was really happy. The worry about Fang Yin's state vanished already.

"Thank you, Mo Bing. I'm so glad to hear that. At first I thought that Yin'er intended to leave me."

"Although Princess Gu's position is very high, I'm sure she is a sincere person. Only the Third Prince deserves to be his life companion." Mo Bing was also happy to see Jian Heng coming back cheerful.

"You're very good at taking your opponent's heart. Will you accompany me to go to the Eastern Continent?" Jian Heng thought that going with Mo Bing would make a boring trip more colorful.

That night Jian Heng decided to rest in the forest.

Morning, the morning,

Guards Jian Heng rushed to freshen up by bathing in the river located not far from the stop. Before sunrise they are ready. Their bodies looked fresher after resting all night drunk.

"Mo Bing's! Awake up!" yelled Jian Heng.

Mo Bing was aghast when he saw that Jian Heng's warriors were ready with their horses. The coachman who was driving Jian Heng's carriage was ready at his place of work.

"Sorry, Third Prince. I didn't realize it was morning. I'm gonna go clean up for a second." Mo Bing went up and walked quickly towards the river.

"Hoam! I'm so lazy." Jian Heng walked slowly towards the same river.

His slow footsteps made him get there slowly. Mo Bing had finished with her needs when she came.

"Wait for me on the train, Mo Bing!" yelled Jian Heng.

"Okay, Prince!" he replied as he gawked at Jian Heng who was walking very leisurely.

'God! I wanted to quickly finish so that he wouldn't wait but he was so relaxed going into that river.' Mo Bing snorted in annoyance.

Sure enough, Jian Heng left very long ago and made the bodyguards and Mo Bing feel bored waiting. Dealing with a ruler does require extra patience. Sometimes they like to behave as they please.

"Has the Third Prince used to leave all this time?" mo Bing asked the coachman sitting beside her.

"This is our first trip. The Third Prince was used to living in the wild. We rarely met him and this may also be the first time the Third Prince has gone to bring a bodyguard" the coachman said.

"Yes too, yeah. The Third Prince used to live free and live somewhere." Mo Bing confirmed the coachman's words.

Until now not many knew if Jian Heng was one of the best teachers in the Nine Star Sect. They only knew that their Third Prince was happy to adventure and live in the wild.

Mo Bing who was not used to sitting quietly went to catch the forest fowl living around the place. Some he got and enough for everyone's breakfast there. The guards helped him clean the fowl and make a fireplace.

When the fowls were ripe Jian Heng had just returned. Apparently he also caught fish for their breakfast.

"Your Majesty! You should have left for so long. It caught so many fish. I thought His Majesty left us." Mo Bing shouted and walked up to Jian Heng.

"I'm so hungry. Uh, what's this smell?" jian Heng asked as his nose sniffed the delicious aroma of food.

"I caught some forest fowl. We did not dare to touch it before His Majesty came," Mo Bing explained.

Jian Heng was overjoyed to see their loyalty and felt a warm atmosphere.

'It turns out that going with the bodyguards was quite fun. Why do I always refuse.' Jian Heng smiled.

His journey towards the Eastern Continent became longer than he should have been. Jian Heng did not want to rush after finding out Fang Yin's state was fine.

Emperor Xi departed the day after Jian Heng's departure. He left with Consort Tang and a hundred bodyguards. They traveled through different routes with Jian Heng.

In order to avoid excessive danger, Emperor Xi chose to pass through the trade route to leave. At first glance this path is longer but has less risk and is much safer. The time it takes is also less.

During the two-day journey, Emperor Xi took very little time off. He wanted to immediately arrive at the Imperial palace of the Eastern Continent a moment after Jian Heng arrived there.

"Your Majesty, we have crossed the border of the country. Maybe we'll get there before it's too late." Consort Tang's face looked radiant. She can't wait to meet her son and daughter-in-law.

"really. I don't want Jian Heng to wait for us too long. As he departed his face looked so moody. I can't stand to see it." Emperor Xi said his heart.

"I can't wait to see them." Concubine Tang looked very happy.

Not even a month had Fang Yin taken over the Empire of the Eastern Continent but various changes had already begun to be seen. The cities they passed through looked more organized with some ongoing development. Cooperation with the Middle Continent Empire was also going well.

Emperor Xi often heard praise for Fang Yin when he was in the middle of his society. Implied a sense of pride in his heart and felt lucky to have a son-in-law like him.

Emperor Xi was very confident that if Jian Heng and Fang Yin united then this country would be more advanced than his country. Jian Heng was a reliable strategist while Fang Yin was a firm person. Both have advantages and disadvantages that complement each other to be perfect.

The gatekeeper standing guard above the tower saw the arrival of Emperor Xi with the entourage. He immediately went downstairs and went to report to Guan Xing about the arrival of the special guest.

Guan Xing walked towards Fang Yin's palace. After returning from the Eternal Snow Hill he returned to running the government he had left behind for so long. Inevitably Fang Yin had to do the piled up work after his departure.

"Guan Xing saluted, Your Majesty!" guan Xing exclaimed as he had stood in Fang Yin's study.

"Come in! You don't usually come here this afternoon. What's up?" Fang Yin put down his ink brush.

"Oh, Your Majesty. The guard of the tower saw the arrival of the troupe carrying the flag of the Central Continent. They'll be here any minute, Your Majesty," Guan Xing said.

Fang Yin moved from his seat. His appearance was currently still a mess. She should have worn a better dress than that to welcome the arrival of her future husband and in-laws.

"They came without giving any news? Or you may forget something, Guan Xing." Fang Yin looked at Guan Xing sharply.

Guan Xing waved both his hands in front of his chest. Before he spoke because suddenly his mouth felt stiff.

"No, Your Grace. Emperor Xi said he would come in two weeks from today. Maybe he wants to surprise you, Your Majesty."

Fang Yin relaxed his tension and tried to think positively. Occasionally Jian Heng had a childish nature even more so when in the presence of his mother. He thinks this is it.

"It must be Brother Heng who insisted on coming here early. Hm. Not for patience." Fang Yin let out a long breath.

Guan Xing immediately prepared for the welcome. The other guards had informed him of Emperor Xi's arrival as head of all the family members and courtiers. They flocked to the palace hall to welcome the arrival of Emperor Xi and his entourage.

Once in the hall, the first person Emperor Xi sought was his son. He felt astonished when he saw Fang Yin standing alone as he welcomed his arrival. Only his family was next to him.

A feeling of astonishment was also felt by Fang Yin when he did not see Jian Heng in the entourage. They are both deceived by circumstances that make them feel strange.

"Yin'er, where's Heng'er? I haven't seen him since I came. Is he going out?" ask Emperor Xi.

That question made Fang Yin gasp. How not, he should have asked his future father-in-law about this matter.

"Sorry, Your Honor. Brother Heng is not here. Did he leave the palace?" ask Fang Yin.

Emperor Xi was shocked to hear Fang Yin's words. They were both shocked when they accepted the fact that Jian Heng was not in the Imperial palace of the Eastern Continent.

Concubine Tang walked over to Fang Yin with a sad face.

"Three days ago Heng'er came with ten bodyguards. She looks so moody when she hears that you're missing. We ourselves do not know about this news but Heng'er is very saddened by it." Concubine Tang explained about what happened before Jian Heng left for there.

Fang Yin's tears slid down upon hearing Consort Tang's story. The news of Jian Heng's disappearance made his joints feel weak. He did not expect that his departure to the dragon dimension sounded all the way to the Middle Continent.

"Mother, I'm sure Brother Heng will be here soon. Maybe he went through a difficult path so he got here a little while," comforted Fang Yin.

Although she herself felt sad but she did not want to see Consort Tang feel anxious.

"What Yin'er said is true. Heng'er could get here quickly but his guards were not. Surely Heng'er won't let them get tired." Emperor Xi also assured Consort Tang.
