Cultivation Goddess
Chapter 21. A Condition

The sun began to rise, birds chirping to welcome the arrival of morning. Fang Yin who was used to waking up in the morning started to squirm as the rowdy sounds of wild animals continued to race out her beautiful voice. He had almost woken Da Xia up with his movements that almost nudged him. Being used to living alone made Fang Yin forget that he was currently living together with Da Xia.

Fang Yin woke up without making a sound and stepped away leaving the cave to look for something they could eat that morning.

When Fang Yin came out from inside the cave, the day was still a little dark covered by the white mist. The coldness of the dew penetrated the shirt until it touched his skin. Fang Yin made light movements to stretch his muscles.

The rabbit was seen leaping around him, but Fang Yin did not want to catch him. If there was still something else to eat, Fang Yin felt that he could not bear to eat the cute beast. Fang Yin preferred to catch jungle chickens or look for tubers and fruit.

Not wanting to linger on leaving Da Xia alone, Fang Yin immediately picked up the tubers in the place he had marked when he saw them. When he found it, Fang Yin had indeed intentionally not taken everything. Likewise when he found it again in a different place, Fang Yin did not immediately pick it up and left a mark alone by sticking a bamboo blade there.

Da Xia had already woken up when Fang Yin came.

"Just now I'm going outside to catch up with you," Da Xia said as he glanced at what Fang Yin had brought.

As if knowing what Da Xia was thinking, Fang Yin immediately opened the tubers she wrapped with cloth and immediately showed them.

"Our breakfast, brother!" fang Yin exclaimed as she placed some of the bulbs on a simple shelf she made from rattan.

Da Xia just saw it. Last night he did not notice the situation in the cave because it was getting dark. Unlike the one that is starting to light up. The cave they lived in was not too deep allowing light to barge into it.

"Is this piece of furniture you made?" da Xia asked as he touched the shelf of the rattan.

"Not good stuff, brother. Just a simple piece of equipment to store things."

Da Xia nodded his head not wanting to prolong their conversation.

Fang Yin took out a few bulbs then lit a fire on the firewood he had stacked in such a way with his strength. Something he could not do while living in the human world. As time goes by, Agata gets used to living his life as an outcast princess, Fang Yin.

"Good fire," Da Xia praised when he saw Fang Yin's red dragon fire.

"Ah, this is just an ordinary fire, Brother." Fang Yin tried to cover up the type of fire he was using by pressing it inside until it was hidden.

'Even though Da Xia's brother is good, I still have to be vigilant. I must always remember Elder An's message asking me to hide my true strength.' Fang Yin tried to stay focused on his burning tubers even though he could see from the corner of his eyes if Da Xia was watching him.

"I want to teach you one today. You can choose between these two styles, namely Ice Storm or Ice Shield Step." Da Xia gave two options to Fang Yin.

Fang Yin turned to Da Xia while hesitating about choosing which one. Ice Storm moves are a type of attack that is quite troublesome for any strong opponent. While the Ice Shield is a defense style that is very useful to withstand the opponent's attack, where this style is able to reduce the effects of energy and prevent it from touching the owner of the style. Everything was equally great, Fang Yin had yet to decide which one to choose.

"Can I think about it for a moment? I'll answer after breakfast, "please Fang Yin.

"You're such a smart boy, Xiao Yin. One day you will be a great man. Your parents would be proud of you." Da Xia patted Fang Yin's shoulder slowly.

The tubers they burned had matured. Fang Yin split it with a knife into small pieces to make it cold immediately. Da Xia looked impatient and picked it up a piece.

He throws it into the air so that it is cold and can soon be eaten.

'People today do not know there are any types of tubers that can be eaten. Da Xia's sister looks very funny when impatient. Is this the other side of a great cultivator like him. Really silly.' Fang Yin smirked his smile while looking towards Da Xia who was unaware if noticed by him earlier.

"Where do you know if this can be eaten, Xiao Yin?" da Xia asked on the sidelines of his meal.

'Mampus, deh! I have to find the right answer. There's no way I'd say that food like this is commonly eaten in the modern human world.' Fang Yin pretended to be chewing to stall for thought time.

Da Xia continued to look at him, looking forward to the answer of his question.

After thinking for a while Fang Yin finally found the answer to that question but before that Fang Yin downed the water she provided inside the urn she always carried inside her storage ring.

"I didn't know it by accident, brother. When I was starving and there was nothing I had to eat, I found this plant. Yeah, well, that's the story."

"Hm. So anyway. Then for the moves I offered earlier, you already have a choice?" Da Xia took out a piece of bamboo to take the water from inside the urn and drank it.

Fang Yin was still silent.

Da Xia could read the indecision on Fang Yin's face that actually wanted both styles so badly. Feeling indebted to the little girl before him, Da Xia finally changed her mind and decided to teach both styles to Fang Yin. That way he could also enjoy those delicious tubers for longer with Fang Yin.

'Ah, why in my brain is filled with food only.' Da Xia hit his head slowly making him look stupid.

Da Xia's silliness returned making Fang Yin stare at his smile.

"Alright, Xiao Yin! You seem to want both styles. I'll teach you everything. But on one condition."

Fang Yin's eyes sparkled brightly hearing Da Xia's words. Fang Yin did not expect that Da Xia was such a generous person. He willingly taught that great style to people who were new to him. Fang Yin wondered inwardly, what was it that made Da Xia believe so much.

'Did Da Xia already know that I was from the same tribe as him? But why didn't he ask me? Ah, nevermind. Now the most important thing is that I should know what conditions Da Xia's brother gave, Fang Yin murmured inwardly.

"What's the condition, Da Xia's sister?" ask Fang Yin.
