Chapters 286. Yu Ruo's
Fang Yin still did not budge. He was speechless seeing Grandfather and Patriarch Shi leave the room. In his vision, An Hui was fighting two enemies. With the arrival of Patriarch Shi and Jun Hui, he was confident the problem could be resolved without his help.
Jian Heng looked agitated. His feeling is not good. Something big is going to happen after this. However, he tried to remain calm to look forward to the situation that would come next.
"Yin'er, you look skinny. Have you not eaten well all this time?" asked Yu Ruo.
"I eat a lot, Grandma. But I rarely rest." Fang Yin smiled happily accepting his grandmother's attention.
They chat together. Occasionally Han Wu and Jian Heng added, while concubine Shi was seen concentrating and cultivating. Initially Fang Yin was unaware of it, this was a rare sight.
During his stay in the palace, his mother had never shown herself as a cultivator. From the story she heard, before becoming a concubine she was a ladyboy. Moreover, Fang Yin had never heard her mother's life story clearly.

Fang Yin looked at Yu Ruo asking for clarity. Her grandmother looked weak and showed no signs of being a fighter. He thought that Han Wu was just joking around.
Fang Yin recalled the Nine-star Dragon Book that was in the hands of the Shi Clan. He brought his mouth closer to Yu Ruo's ear to ask in person. Maybe his grandmother knew where the book was.
Yu Ruo widened his eyes hearing Fang Yin's question. All along no one knew if his family were holding the Nine-star Book of Nine Dragons. His hand immediately grabbed the hand of his grandson and then he took out his spell.
Fang Yin's body felt warm especially to the hand held by Yu Ruo. That hand held out sharp hooves and golden-colored scales.
Yu Ruo immediately ended his spell before anyone saw him.
"So the Dragon Goddess has risen? I didn't realize my grandson was a Dragon Goddess." Yu Ruo looked agitated. Not sure what was bothering her mind, she seemed unhappy with what she had just seen.
Fang Yin sat back down and did not ask any more about the existence of the book.
As of nightfall, Patriarch Shi and his grandfather had also not returned home bringing An Hui back. The entire Shi Clan had even prepared dinner for them. They could not wait for Patriarch Shi and simply set aside food for the three people who were still outside of it.
"Yin'er, do you know where Patriarch Shi and the others are?" jian Heng asked feeling that something was wrong.
Actually Fang Yin felt very lazy. If not for her grandfather being there, she was reluctant to think about where An Hui was.
An energy shot out from Fang Yin's palm with a bright white-colored aura. He threw the energy into the wall in a slow motion. Everyone who was there held their breath with a pias face. They thought that the energy would explode when it touched the wall. But all their thoughts are wrong. The energy expands and forms an asymmetrical screen that reveals the situation outside the hut.
The entire Shi Clan looked panicked. They couldn't hold themselves back anymore and looked extremely angry. On the screen it was clearly visible if Patriarch Shi was seriously injured.
"Daughter Gu! We'd better leave now to save them" said an elder who was met with a nod by the elder and the other members.
"Wait first! Don't be rash! Leave at least five strong men to stay and guard this cottage. We don't know the enemy's strategy. It could be that they would also attack the clan members who stayed as long as we were not around" Fang Yin suggested.
The proposal got a good response. They agreed with his idea and picked some people to stand guard there
Yu Ruo and Yu Jie stood up and entered into the line of people who were going to go to the opposing territory. Fang Yin could not believe what he saw. He glanced at Han Wu and Jian Heng with his silly face then looked back at his mother and grandmother.
Fang Yin raised his right hand while pointing at Yu Jie and Yu Ruo. His lips twitched but did not utter words. His surprise made it difficult to speak.
"I told you your grandmother wasn't an easy person. Maybe your mother." Shi Han Wu patted Fang Yin on the shoulder then joined the ranks.
They numbered around twenty people as some were injured from the previous battle. Elder Shi Yuan An led the assault this time around. During this time he was known as an intelligent and calculating figure.
Fang Yin, Jian Heng and Han Wu were at the very back of the line. They have not known the intricacies of this region like the others who are the majority of the indigenous people of Mount Perak. However, Shi Yuan An still requested a hint from Fang Yin to determine the direction in which Patriarch Shi and the others were present.
Glacier tribe members standing guard outside blew a discordant device. Maybe that's their way of reporting things outside or maybe as a sign of danger.
"Good night, gentlemen. I've been waiting for you here." A man appeared followed by some of his members. The numbers are uncounted and keep coming.
"Take off Patriarch Shi and our clan members. You shouldn't have held him. How dare you play a game!" Elder Yuan looked emotional.
The ice tribe chief paid no heed to Elder Yuan's words. His eyes circulated as if looking for someone who was within the ranks of the Shi Clan members. Limited visibility in the dark of the night makes it necessary to pay close attention to them.
His face looked delighted when he saw Yu Ruo. A faint smile rose and formed a basin on his cheek. As for how he feels right now only he knows.
All members of the Shi Clan followed the glacier chief's point of view. They thought that the person he saw was Yu Jie instead of Yu Ruo. No one knows about the story that happened between them in the past.
"Yu Ruo!" call the glacier chief.
Everyone was surprised and did not expect that the dimpled man knew Yu Ruo.
