Chapter 383. Sudden Attack

The troops led by Tian Feng will be dispatched tonight as well. They brought a large supply of food and their own supplies. The rebels will not be aware of their unusual arrival.

On previous deliveries, they arrive at the site in the afternoon and early morning. They also only brought some warriors who were martial experts so that the enemy could easily overwhelm them. All luggage is confiscated before arriving at the delivery location.

The ruler of the western border region was shocked by the arrival of troops and foodstuffs from the palace. However, they feel very grateful considering the famine they experienced will soon end. The residents cheered in welcome of their arrival.

Tian Feng divided it fairly. Most of them are stored in large warehouses for stock for approximately one month.

"Qing Yun said many thanks, Master." The ruler of the western border saluted Tian Feng.

"Regend! This has become our job. Hopefully the rebels can be dealt with soon. They're very disturbing the peace in this region." Tian Feng turned his body to the side.

Qing Yun had yet to recognize Tian Feng because it was so dark. In the territory of the Eastern Continent, Tian Feng was better known as a thousand-eyed swordsman. He gave a special place to Tian Feng and his troops in an extremely spacious hall.

The resources in the region are very rich but the people who live there do not have adequate capabilities. Lots of empty land with high fertility. The existence of the western border region is in the highlands so that certain fungi and medicinal plants can be cultivated there.

Just as everyone was asleep, Tian Feng went out for a walk. He looked over the entire western border region. There are many natural resources that have not been optimally explored.

After successfully overcoming the problem of rebellion he would inform Fang Yin of the situation. That way the economy in this region can increase and dependence on the central government will decrease. Tian Feng was very confident that the western border region would become an advanced country.

Tian Feng surrounded almost the entire western border region. No place is missed in its entirety both the hilly region and the plains have been inhabited. He also scouted the rebel headquarters that inhabited a sizable village.

The villagers did not know of his arrival, nor did some of the rebel members who were still awake. They are not vigilant because they do not know the arrival of the troops he leads. Tian Feng silently observed the opponent's strength and the possible strategies he was about to take.

Tian Feng had been there for quite a long time, but after successfully obtaining the information he wanted, he immediately returned to the Qing Yun residence.

"Good night, Mr Feng!" greet the guards who saw Tian Feng's arrival.

"Good night. What are you guys doing? Why don't you guys just rest?" tian Feng asked.

"We stand guard in turns. It just so happened that we saw you taking a walk outside" explained the guard.

"Oh, I couldn't sleep and then I went to look around the enemy territory. Before the sun rises we have to arrange an attack plan. The sooner the better because they don't know we're here yet." Tian Feng did not know if any of the rebel spies had learned of his arrival with the troops and reported shortly after he left their headquarters.

Tian Feng did not sleep and chose to cultivate while waiting for his entire army to be ready. They agreed to gather in the front yard before starting the attack. There were some provisions that would be done by him before leaving.

What happened did not go according to Tian Feng's plan. Before the troops were ready, the rebels had already attacked first after the spies reported the arrival of a lot of food from the palace and stored here. They immediately prepared for a sudden attack. Before they always managed to snatch a lot of food easily.

The sound of the cavalry from the rebels was heard in the distance. Tian Feng immediately got up from his meditation and shouted to prepare the troops before they arrived. He did not expect that the rebels were so cunning and made his plans fall apart.

'How do they know the news of my arrival with the troops? When I was scouting their headquarters it looked calm. There are no suspicious moves and signs of an attack. It's possible that they got the information after I left from there.' Tian Feng monologued inwardly.

Not wanting many casualties from his side, Tian Feng chose to be in the vanguard. It was not immediately clear what sort of attack the rebels would launch. He intended to set up a siege formation with seventy percent of the hidden troops.

They were already in their respective positions before the enemy arrived there. At first glance the enemy will see if there are only a few guards. However, once they were caught in the middle of the arena, hidden forces would pound them.

Tian Feng sat down on his horse and put up a defensive fortification to dispel the opposing forces. With an energy attack released, the horses belonging to the enemy fell and ran away in fear. Now the rebel forces attacked unhurriedly towards Tian Feng and his troops.

In order to trap them to the point that they were prepared for, Tian Feng loosened the attack and let it go into a trap. They were eventually surrounded by a palace army that was twice as many as their army.

"Damn! Who are you really?" the rebel leader.

"Throw your weapons!" exclaimed Tian Feng ordered the rebels to lay down his weapons.

They did not budge and still wished they could get out of Tian Feng's siege.

"alright. Apparently you guys still want to play games with me." Tian Feng raised the sword in his right hand and moved it around.

The signal was immediately responded to by his troops. Archery troops prepared to point their arrows at the rebels. Tian Feng made a move and added fire energy to the arrows of his troops.

The guts of some rebel forces shriveled but others still wanted to fight back. Some of them threw their swords and others kept their weapons in their hands.

The archers had already tagged them and chosen who to harvest. The moment Tian Feng gave the cue to release his arrows, they already knew where to point them. Although there were villagers inside the rebel forces but Tian Feng sifted through them with the throwing of these weapons.

After no more weapons were dropped, Tian Feng immediately hinted at his troops to release his arrows. The body of the rebel who was hit by the fire arrow burned and became charred while the person who had dropped his sword survived. Most of them are western border residents who have been incited by the rebels

The rebel leader was deliberately left alive by Tian Feng. He only got an arrow wound on one of his stiff and right palm. Tian Feng was very confident that there was a larger group masterminding this rebellion.

Rebel troops who surrendered were rounded up and held in a special room. Later, they will be given guidance before being returned to the community. Their brains had already been washed away so as not to believe the reign now led by Jian Heng and Fang Yin.

Captured rebel leaders will be held in different places for interrogation. Tian Feng hoped that he would gain information from it and capture the brains of the true rebels. However, most criminals who are caught choose to die rather than open their mouths.

Qing Yun came over to Tian Feng and his troops.

"Force, Sir. I'm sorry I didn't recognize you last night, Mr. Swordsman of a Thousand Eyes." Qing Yun put his hands together before Tian Feng.

The rebel head gaped at him. This was only the first time he had seen such a swordsman that only he had heard his big name. He recalled his mother's story of the Thousand Eyes Swordsman who once saved the region from a deadly plague.
