Chapter 43. An Invitation
Jian Heng caught up with Fang Yin down and stood right behind him. Just as Fang Yin was about to step up, Jian Heng ventured to hold his hand. Fang Yin did not flinch then twisted his body backwards until it almost hit Jian Heng.
"I'm sorry if I startle you, Xiao Yin. You're impatient, aren't you?!" jian Heng said without letting go of his hand.
"Let go!" fang Yin exclaimed back to throw face in the other direction hiding her reddened face.
"Sorry!" Jian Heng forgot that he was still holding Fang Yin's hand.
For a moment the atmosphere became quiet.
"Night is starting to come down. Tell me something!" Fang Yin did not want to linger alone with Jian Heng which made him almost faint because his heart was not well controlled.
"Yes, right. It doesn't feel like the day is getting dark. I'll figure out how to help with your mission. Now we better get back to the inn first. Tomorrow we discuss again," Jian Heng said giving the green light to Fang Yin.
In his heart Fang Yin cheered happily. For this time he had to try to be kind to Jian Heng in order to achieve his goal. He could not make Jian Heng angry and change his decision.
From a distance, a shadow of a human came to them both. The closer the shadow is the more clearly visible it is. It turned out that he was Xiao Chen.
"Chairman Yu! Come to my house! My mom and dad are waiting for you. I asked them to cook you a delicious meal. Please, at least don't disappoint my parents." Xiao Chen cupped his palms together pleading marks.
Jian Heng turned to Fang Yin as if he wanted to tell her with the phrase 'Let's go with me!'.
"But I came with him. I can't come if I'm not with him" Jian Heng said as he continued to glance at Fang Yin who didn't seem to mind his words.
"Tell your parents that I say thank you very much. But I have to accompany a friend and can't come." Jian Heng started to step foot followed by Fang Yin who was walking by his side.
"Wait Elders! Come with me. It doesn't matter if you bring your friend." Xiao Chen was forced to invite Fang Yin as well even though he did not like her from the start.
"All right! Xiao Yin, you don't mind, do you?" Jian Heng asked Fang Yin's opinion before taking him walking towards Xiao Chen's house.
Fang Yin nodded. Actually his body feels very sultry and wants to take a shower immediately to clean it. But he was currently on a mission to obtain the contents of the Nine Dragons Book. The two had to be patient and obey Jian Heng's will.
"Thank you, Elder!" Xiao Chen smiled happily and led the two of them walking towards his house.
As he had said before, Xiao Chen's house was right behind the inn rented by Fang Yin and Jian Heng. They could return to the inn just by walking a few steps away from Xiao Chen's house.
The two old men Xiao Chen had welcomed the arrival of the three of them in front of the door. Fang Yin looked familiar with Xiao Chen's father's face. He was very similar to the face of Master Xi, his foster father.
