Cultivation Goddess

Cultivation Goddess
Chapter 404. Threats

Fang Yin and Jian Heng chose a landing spot right at the peak of the Red Mountains. These mountains have a high altitude. However, at its peak it is seen surrounded by clouds.

This beautiful scenery will certainly make anyone complacent but they must consider the dangers that are there. The one who is to come should think a thousand times considering no one knows about the hidden life in the Red Mountains. It is said to have spread rumors where someone went hiking to look for medicinal plants and never came back again.

Jian Heng was still enchanted by the natural beauty of the Red Mountains. He was stunned for a while and stood glued staring into the distance. Everything looks so natural without the touch of a human hand.

"Don't be overwhelmed with beauty! We're new here and it's too early. Hopefully there won't be any danger surrounding us anymore." Fang Yin gave a warning to Jian Heng.

Jian Heng nodded. What Fang Yin said was indeed true. This place looks calm but still holds a mystery.

"I'll be careful. Can we rest for a while, Yin'er? After that let's go around to check around." asked Jian Heng.

"Of course."

Fang Yin jumped onto a large rock then sat on it. From where he is at the moment he can look to the places around him because he is taller. The wildness of the forest made their visibility limited. They cannot see into the depths.

Although not perfectly flat but the surface of the stone could be a temporary resting place before finding a more decent place for them to live in. Jian Heng leaned his head against Fang Yin's lap and attempted to close his eyes. Almost all night they did not rest.

'Hm ... You think I'm not sleepy either?' Fang Yin took out a cloth and moved Jian Heng's head over it.

Jian Heng did not wake up in the slightest as Fang Yin moved him very carefully. Both of them were sleeping in positions facing each other. The trees around them blocked the scorching light of the sun and kept them undisturbed in their sleep.

They did not instill a protective spell and thought that the place was very safe. There was no air of life nor energy aura felt around him when they arrived. Both of them were unaware of the danger surrounding them.

In the Red Mountains was inhabited by high-level spirit beasts controlled by a demon living in the underworld. For thousands of years the beast lived there to wait for the presence of the baby in the prophecy. That special baby will awaken the Red Continent Devil who wants to rule over the human world and the upper world.

By sacrificing that baby then he would become the strongest being in the three realms. Previously the Red Demon Continent had stolen half of the sky gem energy core. The special power of the baby will perfect it and make it very strong.

Although very faint, the life air released by Fang Yin and Jian Heng's bodies was sniffed out as well by the spirit beasts living in the depths of the forest in the Red Mountain valley. The Red Mountain spirit beast wriggled and then woke up from his hermitage. He wrapped his body and stood up straight.

Its shape is similar to a bull but has a dense black shiny fur. Its horns are long with pointed ends and facing forward. His eyes were blood red with very wide eyelids.

Besides being similar to a bull, a spirit beast was also similar to a lion with sharp fangs and fingernails. In one go he will paralyze his prey and make it difficult to escape from its entanglement. Not only that, the spiritual power of this spirit beast was also very powerful because it had the support of the Red Continent Devil.

"Who dares to come to the Jaliura region? He's really looking to die."

The Red Mountain spirit beast called itself Jaliura.

His grunting sound was not too loud but the air he exhaled from his nostrils was able to blow away the objects around him. His two front legs stomped to the ground and instantly his body shot into the air. Jaliura moved swiftly leaving the valley towards the place where the air of life was located.

At first he thought that the human who came would emerge from the foot of the mountain but what he thought was wrong. No man comes from the countryside. Jaliura's intelligence was not comparable to his strength so he could not guess the existence of the air of life that was sniffed by him.

To find Fang Yin and Jian Heng he needed to swirl to and fro along every inch of the Red Mountains. By noon he had reached half the territory. I don't know how much longer he'll find the existence of the owner of the life he's looking for.

"Damn! Hiding where is the man I'm after? I'll find him soon and I'll make lunch. How can I be so careless that I can't find the slightest trace of energy."

Jaliura felt frustrated when he did not immediately find his quarry. His tail moved to the right and to the left causing a fire that burned whatever he touched. The fragrant aroma gushed into the air because the average tree in the Red Mountains had a distinctive aroma.

In a short time, the scent of the burning plant spread throughout the directions. This scent also came toward Fang Yin and Jian Heng who were still sound asleep. Both squirm and wake up because it turns out that the day is also almost afternoon.

"You what is this? It's like a bohur scent. Very fragrant. Did you kiss her too?" jian Heng asked when the two of them had already completely woken up.

"I also kissed her clearly. Where there might be people burning boor in a desolate place like this. Brother Heng is there." Fang Yin felt strange and as if in disbelief with what Jian Heng was saying therapy suddenly she fell silent and looked at her husband with a tense face.

Eve the presence of Jaliura began to be felt. Slowly but surely the spirit beast walked over to him. Although there had not been any visible signs of his presence but Fang Yin could feel such great power from his body.

Jian Heng's attitude was not much different from his. Suddenly, he acted alert and returned Fang Yin's gaze with a nod. Although there was clearly a great power approaching, neither of them made any movements that indicated its existence. Before the possessor of the power finds both, they must know who the creature is.

Jian Heng held Fang Yin's hand tightly and then carried him sneaking into a tree that was the largest. He then took her jumping on the lowest branch and then jumped again on the higher branch. From their current place they can see the surrounding conditions but the objects are difficult to find their existence because they are blocked by the lush foliage.

"The energy is getting closer. Very large but the owner was not a human," Fang Yin murmured softly but was still heard by Jian Heng.

Jian Heng nodded.

A strange feeling began to envelop Fang Yin's body. She did not feel that she was using her power but by herself her aura as the Dragon Goddess came out. A yellowish light began to envelop his body with a different form than before.

This naturally also surprised Jian Heng considering that they were currently hiding to lurk. If it continued, the forces approaching them would soon find out about the whereabouts of both.

"Yang Hui! Did you do it? Right now I don't need this change yet" Fang Yin said in a slightly irritated voice.

"No, Your Majesty. I dare not start anything before getting an order from you."

Yang Hui's reply made Fang Yin stunned. If it was not him who did it then how could the power of the Dragon Goddess come out by itself. His heart kept wondering with answers he could not find.

"Yin'er, what's really going on?" jian Heng asked who was also curious about her change.

Fang Yin was only able to shake his head because he himself did not understand.

Amidst the confusion they heard a long moaning sound from a place not far from where they were. The loud noise made their roman fur goosebumps. The blood-red walking smoke fog slowly crept up and spread out in all directions.

This bewildering atmosphere continued to develop until their surroundings became extremely dark.

"What is this fog? We're like submerged in a pool of blood." Jian Heng took out a protective armor in anticipation of the bad possibility that might befall him.

"There's no point in us hiding here anymore. It could clearly sense the aura of energy we were emitting." Fang Yin began to prepare and then jumped into the open to wait for the alien beings who had yet to arrive there.

Only the presence of the mysterious creatures grew more and more pronounced and continued to erode the distance between them. Even so, his appearance was still very surprising to Fang Yin and Jian Heng. His sinister form made them cringe even more accompanied by an enormous power.

"Be careful, Yin'er! It seems like this creature cannot be looked at one eye. He looks like a thousand-year-old spirit beast that has no mercy."

Jian Heng started to put up the horses and prepared to attack.

Fang Yin nodded and began to prepare.

Both of them had yet to dare to take any action before knowing the characteristics of the opponent in front of him. This was the first time they had encountered a spirit beast that had such a powerful energy aura before he made an attack. His energy just appeared and enveloped his huge body.

"I thought you guys were a bunch of trash. It turns out you guys are the ones I've been waiting for a long time. Almost half of my life I spent here waiting for your arrival." Jaliura looks sumringah when he finds out that the human air he feels is actually the Dragon Goddess.

All around Jaliura had been given a spell by the Red Continent Demon that would work if he were to face off against the Dragon Goddess. This spell he got from the ancient divination book that predicted the birth of the descendants of the Dragon Goddess. Upon hearing his appearance, the Red Continent Demon immediately imprinted this seal around Jaliura's body.

Fang Yin and Jian Heng looked at each other. They felt confused by the spirit beasts that looked pretentious to them. As they remembered, the three of them had never met the spirit beast that was now standing before them.

"waiting us? We never know each other and trust me if your deception won't work." Jian Heng was not fooled by Jaliura's sweet words.

"Haha! Smart kid, don't complicate my life! Destiny has written a story about your arrival. Whether you like it or not, you both have to deal with me. You guys better not be acting much and we're working well together." Jaliura advanced before Jian Heng until the two of them were within a short distance.

"cooperate? We don't need cooperation. This place is not yours and anyone can stop here. Every destiny we write does not have to obey because everything is not necessarily true. It could be just your empty wishful thinking. We don't want to get involved in the impossible you deliberately created." Jian Heng tried to lure Jaliura's words even further to obtain information.

For a while, Fang Yin did not want to get involved with their conversation before it was clearly revealed what Jaliura meant. As an observer he will be more observant in drawing a conclusion than taking the stage.

Jaliura did not look angry but instead showed his arrogance. The Red Continent Devil deliberately did not tell her the power of the Dragon Goddess so that she would be willing to carry out this task and become her puppet. No wonder he thought he could face Jian Heng and Fang Yin so easily and act so arrogantly towards them.

'Lacking! So, this stupid beast already knew that I would come here. But I think it would be absurd if he knew it from the ancient books alone.' Fang Yin felt furious.

Fang Yin's emotions were immediately ignited when he realized that his future son had become the target of the devil before he was truly present in the world. The words thrown by Jaliura made him feel hurt and want to finish him right now. The demonic nature within him made him violent and forced him to give off an extremely frightening aura.

A slash! An energy shot out horizontally as Fang Yin stomped his hands together with an extremely light movement.

Jaliura's body staggered as the energy hit him. The effect of the pressure it caused was also so strong that it made him have to adjust his body balance in order to stay standing. He did not expect that the Dragon Goddess standing before him could not be underestimated.

"Damn! You dare to fight me, Ha?!" Jaliura did not remain silent.

He was not a calculating man so would attack anyone without calculation. His feet snapped and a fireball appeared around his body. One by one the balls were thrown with his control.

Hot air shrouded around and the blood red mist grew thicker. Attack after attack was successfully averted by Fang Yin and caused a fierce explosion at the place hit by it. The failure of the attack made Jaliura even more emotional. He added to his intensity and attacked Fang Yin blindly.

"Great as well as you. I wonder how strong you will be in the cold. I hope your thick fur works well." Fang Yin prepared to retaliate against Jaliura's attack.

Vortexes of cold wind appeared above his head and continued to grow enlarged. The longer the range became wider and covered the entire peak of the Red Mountains. The snow that came down was supposed to be milky white but the presence of the blood-red mist from Jaliura made it blood-red. However, along with that, the blood-red fog was eroding and gradually disappearing slowly.

Jaliura who disliked the cold looked shivering. He did not know until when he could hold out to fight against this power. Every time he tried to let out a flame then the fireball formed instantly froze.

"What power are you giving out? How can it snow in the dry season. Or maybe you're playing an illusion of an eye to trick me and make me give up." Jaliura felt very angry.

With a breath that was seen hunting down, Jaliura thought of taking out his entire ability and defeating Fang Yin as soon as possible. The ever expanding cold will make it unable to last long. As a being from the underworld he preferred hot situations.

'The magma hole I used to add energy was deep at the foot of the mountain. Before my powers run out I have to defeat these two bedbugs. I will not have any face before the Red Continent Devil if I fail this mission.' Jaliura did not want his long enough wait to go to waste.

In his agreement Jaliura would get a share of the territory in the lower realms and become a little king there. He would rule under the auspices of the Red Demon Continent. This lure is what makes him tempted and last for thousands of years waiting for the presence of the Dragon Goddess in the Red Mountains.

Jaliura's body twisted and an aura came out that was greater than his body. The snow around it melted and drained the red water. A blood-red mist appeared enveloping him and continued to grow even though the snow still continued to fall.

"It's good if you can still get up. I wouldn't feel guilty if I made you not see the sun again after today." Fang Yin unleashed a power greater than before.

Storms accompanied by electricity appeared with the swift snow. Jian Heng also added his energy into the attack carried out by Fang Yin. Facing a Fang Yin alone had overwhelmed Jaliura now had to be coupled with Jian Heng's strength.

The storm of lightning and snow did not make Jaliura tremble. The shadow of victory and the throne he was about to obtain excited him. All fear was put aside for the time he had spent so long.

Jaliura darted swiftly through the blizzard and lightning. With full force he prepared to hit Fang Yin and Jian Heng with his energy.

Fang Yin and Jian Heng split up to avoid Jaliura's attack. Now Jaliura could only chase one of them. This situation can be advantageous for them because it can outwit the opponent and make him confused to determine the attack.

Jaliura's strength was in fact far beyond Fang Yin and Jian Heng's estimation. His speed increased sharply to many times that of before. In a single jolt of his two hind legs, he could reach the two in turn.

For this time Fang Yin did not dodge and prepared to receive Jaliura's attack. The meeting of the energy of the two caused a very fierce explosion. That loud bang made the circumstances around them tremble.

From a very far distance could be seen bursts of blood-red mist and snow that soared into the sky. It keeps repeating itself as much as the attacks they unleash. At first glance people will think if this is a natural disaster.

"We've had enough to play around. I don't want to waste my energy anymore. Prepare to die ugly buffalo!" yang Yin Excited.

Fang Yin's mockery made Jaliura even more furious. He did not accept being referred to as a buffalo even though his appearance was a little similar to her. A flame came out in his frontal snort.

"How dare you call me a buffalo! Jaliura was the bull lord of the lower realms. It is not proper for you to say this and it is you who should die at my hands. Hiyah!" Jaliura again gathered a huge amount of energy in his attack.

The look in Fang Yin's eyes turned cruel. His right hand opened and pushed forward towards Jaliura. The simple movement he made was the Dragon Breath Movement combined with the spirit crushing technique.

Jaliura's body would be permanently blocked after the energy he released was absorbed by him.

Fang Yin's relaxed attitude made Jaliura feel confident that this time his ultimate energy would kill his opponent in a single strike.

"Prepare to accept your death, Arrogant Woman!" Jaliura smiled triumphantly as he saw Jian Heng also standing behind him.

With a single strike he could knock out two people at once, he thought. Unfortunately, this is a mere wishful thinking that is far from the actual reality. No energy collisions or explosions occurred.

At first Jaliura was confused by what he was going through at the moment but gradually he came to a realization that his energy simply vanished upon touching Fang Yin's palm. Doesn't look like a vortex on him. His energy just disappeared and made him confused so that his body could not be moved anymore.

"What's going on? What are you doing?" Jaliura's voice sounded raucous.

His mouth was still seen twitching but there was an audible sound as the muscles all over his body weakened rapidly. In a short time what happened next was terrible. Jaliura's entire flesh and body constituent shrank and dried up until a fiery red spirit crystal burst out and floated in the air.

"This must be a very valuable item in the future." Fang Yin reached out his hand to grab Jaliura's spirit crystal.

He almost got it but someone suddenly came and grabbed it. In front of his two eyes he swallowed the spirit crystal and absorbed the entire essence energy contained within it. This behavior was only quite astonishing but did not make Fang Yin too astonished.

"Have we known each other before? I didn't feel the air of your presence but you suddenly showed up and messed things up." Fang Yin looked relaxed but did not let down his vigilance.

The woman in red clothes smiled. No, rather he grinned. The teeth look very pointed with a tongue that is slightly longer than the human tongue in general. Moreover, the aura of life was extremely thin and difficult to detect.

"My name is Shiang Shiang, the owner of the spirit beast you just finished off."

Fang Yin nodded. It felt so hard to swallow the saliva he had painstakingly collected. Her dry throat forced her to try harder to do so.

Unlike Fang Yin, Jian Heng looked more prepared. He was undaunted even though the woman before him was not easy. In a fight will be far from victory if it involves emotions and feelings.

'I hope you will be able to control yourself even though you know if this woman intends to steal our child, Yin'er.' Jian Heng monologued inwardly and hoped that Fang Yin would keep his senses no matter what would happen in the future.

"I heard you are not from this world and have a purpose that is not good for us. Don't ever expect your plan to work because I won't let that happen." Fang Yin stared intently full of anger and grudge towards Shiang Shiang.

Shiang Shiang was surprised to hear Fang Yin's words but it didn't last long. He soon gets to control himself and is able to cope with the situation. It seemed like he knew very well how to deal with the Dragon Goddess and lure her into his trap.

"So, do you believe the stupid beast's words? You shouldn't have listened to it. Come nearer! I'll tell you what's really going on." Shiang Shiang spoke softly but was extremely dangerous.

Fang Yin seemed to be silently thinking.

'I wonder what this demon will do. I don't think it'll do any harm if I step closer to her.' Fang Yin prepared to follow Shiang Shiang's wishes.

Just raising one side of his foot, Jian Heng caught his hand and made him stop his steps.

"Don't be rash, Yin'er! I feel like he wants to frame you. Spirit beasts were indeed notoriously cruel but he was not good at lying. In order to achieve his goal, this demon must have had a lot of gimmicks." Jian Heng reminded Fang Yin before it was too late to realize his mistake.

Shiang Shiang's face suddenly changed. He was not happy to see Jian Heng who was so intelligent and quick to respond with the changes around him. It was very difficult to find a gap when his opponent had such high sharpness of mind.

"alright. I will not hesitate any more on you because you already know about my purpose. Like it or not it has become a law of nature if the devil will have more power over humans. Obey then I will forgive your lives!" Shiang Shiang looks jumawa.

"Hurrah!" Fang Yin snorted. "Finally your true nature comes out too. You think the human degree is lower than your degree? The answer is no. Forever you will never rule over us and rule at will. Your path will not be smooth, my friend, moreover you have offended us. Our descendants are so precious that we will guard them with our entire lives."

Black flames surged out from Fang Yin's body by itself along with his anger. What Jian Heng feared had finally happened as well where Fang Yin would have difficulty controlling his senses. When anger and grudge took hold of him then it would be difficult for Fang Yin to think clearly.
