Cultivation Goddess
Chapter 6. Meet Medicinal Plant Seekers

Without feeling it, Fang Yin had already lived for months in the Southern Star Forest. Now he is getting used to being a jungle person and moving on from his previous life is very contrasting. Boredom and loneliness often affect his feelings, but he can do nothing but continue to live his life.

This morning, Fang Yin wanted to develop his ability to hunt wild fowl as a meal. Fang Yin made a simple weapon from rattan that was formed curved into a bow. As the strings of his bow, Fang Yin made it from the weed fibers he twisted to resemble a curd.

As his arrows, Fang Yin looked for the bamboo tree and split it into small pieces. After smoothed the surface and tapered the tip, the arrows from the bamboo pieces were quite dangerous for their victims. Fang Yin made a large number of arrows in stock and put them in a small wicker basket.

As a person who has finished medical school, of course Agata has a lot of skills and experience. All of Agata's memories carried along with his soul, making the 14-year-old Fang Yin look so great. He is capable of doing what a child his age should not be able to do.

Fang Yin walked around the depths of the forest to try out his new weapon. He put up his ears and to hear the sound of his game animals. His observant eyes continued to observe every movement as small as it seemed.

Fang Yin's smile expanded behind his veil, in the distance came the sound of people conversing. After a long time, finally the forest was visited by humans as well. However Fang Yin did not want to be too happy just yet, he had to be careful of the new person he had not known.

Fang Yin jumped onto a huge, extremely tall tree to hide. He should know first and see up close who the person who came there was. It could be fatal as a result if the one who came was a cultivator who was still looking for him.

A man and a middle-aged woman walked over towards Fang Yin's hiding place. Judging from his appearance, they were not warriors. They carried a rattan basket containing some mushrooms and medicinal plants behind their backs.

Upon seeing that Fang Yin was sure if they were not warriors, but rather an alchemist or healer.

Fang Yin hid his presence and disguised his steps before he appeared to appear before the two people. Fang Yin's appearance he made as natural as possible so that the two were not surprised by his presence. Slowly Fang Yin descended then ran while carrying his arrow as if he was hunting.

"Uncle, Auntie, did you both see a partridge flying here?" Fang Yin tried to ask to support his acting.

The two people summoned by Fang Yin looked at each other. They looked confused when they found a girl in the middle of the forest alone. Their faces looked terrified as they thought that Fang Yin was a demon. Moreover, Fang Yin's face was not so clear as it was covered by her veil.

They retreated slowly as Fang Yin walked over to him.

"Uncle, Auntie, don't be afraid. I'm human just like you." Fang Yin tried to convince the two.

"Ba-ba-how could a little girl like you be in this forest all by herself?" The middle-aged man ventured to ask Fang Yin. While the woman hid behind her back with a face that looked frightened.

Fang Yin pretended to show his sad face and dropped his body sitting on a large tree root.

The two medicinal plant seekers were astonished.

"I've been lost in this forest for how long because I can't count. I went here following the seekers of medicinal plants and separated from the entourage." Fang Yin concocted a reasonable story for them to believe.

After hearing Fang Yin's story, finally the two medicinal plant seekers were no longer frightened and believed that Fang Yin was a human like them.

"Is your company not looking for you anymore, son? This place is not too far from the outskirts of the forest and the village we live in." The middle-aged woman began to dare to approach Fang Yin.

In Fang Yin's heart thought, he should have walked and found his way out of this forest. From the plants and animals he had encountered around his place, Fang Yin should have known that they were different from what he had encountered in the depths of the forest before.

"There's so much pity. What's your name, son?" ask the woman softly.

Fang Yin had almost mentioned his real name, it was fortunate that he could think so quickly and undo it. It's free that he disguises himself if he gets caught by mentioning his real name which will certainly invite the curiosity of people who hear it. In that country, it was very taboo to have the same name as members of the imperial family because their names were considered sacred.

"My name is Xiao Yin." The original Fang Yin made a name for his disguise.

"What a pretty name. Why are you wearing a face mask?" The woman looked very curious.

"I'm not confident in my ugly face, Auntie. I'd rather cover it up like this so that others wouldn't be disgusted to see it."

"Alright, aunt understands. My name is Liwei and this is my husband Mao Zhan." The woman introduced herself and her husband to Fang Yin.

"I'm glad to see you here. Ever since my parents died, I've only followed where my footsteps went. Can you, Uncle and Aunt take me out of this forest?" fang Yin asked expectantly.

Mao Zhan and Liwei looked at each other. Perhaps it was Liwei's way of communicating with her husband to ask his opinion on Fang Yin's request. All the decisions were in Mao Zhan's hands, although he was eager to take him out but Liwei was not entitled to do so.

"You can come with us and stay with us." Mao Zhan's words made Liwei and Fang Yin feel happy.

"Xiao Yin said many thanks to Uncle and Aunt." Fang Yin fused his right fist and his left palm to salute.

Given that it was still daytime, Mao Zhan still wanted to look for some more medicinal herbs. They were very happy that Fang Yin who had known the ins and outs of the forest, helped them obtain some kind of rare medicinal plant they were looking for. The couple were amazed to see Fang Yin's ability to memorize and carefully identify the medicinal plants they encountered.

Once it was enough, the three of them walked out of the forest before it was dark. There will be many wild tigers and some other wild animals that often roam the outskirts of the forest to find prey. Fang Yin felt relieved, he was finally able to come out from within the forest and regain human civilization.

The couple took Fang Yin down a path leading to a village.

There are lined houses of residents in the style of ancient architecture that is very beautiful. The village is fairly dense even though it is located on the edge of the forest. Maybe this village has an attraction or potential that attracts people to live here.

Every resident they met, stared at Fang Yin in surprise. Liwei held her hand as she saw Fang Yin feeling uneasy with the gazes of the residents. They immediately sped up their steps in order to reach their residence immediately.
