Emperor Xi stared softly at Consort Tang who was still pale. The woman's heart was so soft even though on the battlefield was an opponent that her enemies could not take lightly.
Jian Heng was a son born from the fusion of the two. It was unexpected that his third son was able to surpass his two brothers both in achievement and in terms of choosing a partner.
"Heng'er is an adult. He must have thought about it. We can only wait for him to convey his wish."
"Maybe he forgot." Concubine Tang smiled and felt strange by what she said herself.
"I believe our son has a better plan than ours. It is proven that he persists with his love even though he used to not know about the true origin of Yin'er."
Concubine Tang finally gave up. He was going to wait for Jian Heng to ask them to propose to Fang Yin officially.
Outside the door of his room, Xi Hao Xiang stood up and listened to the chatter of his parents. There was no hatred in his heart, only sadness and loneliness.
The happiness obtained by Jian Heng did not immediately come. Before this he had gone through many wounds and tears. The Third Prince of the Xi family was famous for his unpretentious nature and simple appearance.
Continuing to listen would not be able to strengthen his heart. Seeing the happiness of his parents, Xi Hao Xiang also thought he could do the same thing after this.
Amidst the silence of the Eastern Continent Empire night, souls were asleep in victory.
A scene different from the one in the corner of the city.
A group of people came messing around in an area that was on the edge of the city. Security there was in turmoil considering the leader and the chosen troops living there went to the battlefield.
After hearing the news of Fang Yin's victory, these troublemakers took the opportunity to mess up. They robbed and looted property belonging to citizens of the state capital Qiong.
Most of the country's population has an established economic level. It could be said that this state has progress compared to other states.
"Give me your treasure!" exclaimed a strapping man unsheathed the sword and pointed it towards a citizen.
The citizen being held was an old man with a bent body. This man was brave considering he was standing outside the house even though he knew there were vandals in the area.
"Take it if there's something valuable you want in my house" the man said casually.
The man who was pointing smiled cynically. His hand pulled the sword that led to the old man then in hasty steps approached the majestic house behind the old man.
Before actually entering, the evil man turned to the old man who was standing on his back not budging. According to him this was strange but he was immediately pushed aside and considered it as a compliance.
Slow steps led the evil man to reach the door. His hand carried a sword so he chose to open the door by kicking it.
The door of the house opened and revealed a bright light that dazzled the eyes. The evil man could not see anything inside the house. His legs slowly retreated with an unbalanced body state.
The body of the evil man slumped backwards in a ridiculous state. He looks like a blind man who lost his cane. His hand fumbled to the side of his body looking for his sword that was released when he fell.
The old man took the evil man's sword and threw it far away. His powerful throw thrust the sword through a huge tree.
"You picked the wrong opponent, Mr. Kekar!" A young man appeared suddenly.
"Chang'er, where have you been?" The old grandfather looked at his grandson annoyedly.
On his way home he heard that King Qiong and the strong forces of his country died on the battlefield while fighting Princess Gu Fang Yin's forces. This news was very surprising to him.
Xiao Chang was happy that he had not returned before this. Perhaps if he had been in the city before the war, King Qiong would have taken him along in the army supporting Emperor Ning.
When Emperor Ning came to power he was still a teenager. However, he knew all the crimes committed by the cruel emperor because his father and mother were also victims of his ferocity.
As the descendant of the Eastern Sword God, Xiao Chang knew how his parents fly. They are honest people who are being wiped out in this country. His parents were killed while refusing Emperor Ning's order to help him slaughter the Gu Clan.
Xiao Chang's parents once helped the special forces of the Qiong Kingdom to carry out a rebellion during Emperor Gu's reign. Aware of his mistake, the two of them no longer wanted to obey Emperor Ning's orders while still serving as the Emperor's Advisor.
Xiao Chang had a face similar to Gu Tian Feng. It remains a mystery of her parents' origins because they never told her about it. They probably haven't told me everything yet and are dead.
"I won't let anyone pollute this country with his crimes. I welcome the new era brought by the new Emperor of the Eastern Continent. He would restore peace like the glory days of Emperor Gu's leadership."
Xiao Chang replied to his grandfather's question with a statement that shocked his grandfather.
"So you already know if the Gu Clan is back in power? The Gu Clan indeed deserved to rise. They get God's blessing to always lead this country fairly."
Seeing the two chatting, the evil men who were about to loot their possessions tried to run away on all fours. His blurred vision made him unable to see directions. He used the conversational voice of Xiao Chang and his grandfather as a reference to move away.
Xiao Chang turned his head without turning his body. The villain's position is behind him. A sword appeared in his hand then he turned its tip towards the evil man.
Xiao Chang's sword shot out quickly after its owner pushed it with Qi. The evil man was unable to dodge when the sword pierced through his back. The loud screams straightened the fur of Rome whoever heard it.
"Here quickly he died. On what basis he became a robber. How humiliating!" Xiao Chang smiled obliquely then turned around to approach the evil man to grab his sword.
"He came with some people. Go find them and save the people they're targeting." Grandpa Xiao Chang turned around and walked back to his house.
Without his grandfather's orders, Xiao Chang had already planned to go help the townspeople. In the distance there was a blaze burning in the darkness of the night. He was very sure if it was the same herd that attacked his grandfather.
Xiao Chang's sword glint dazzled the eyes as the light of the lantern reflected from there. The townspeople smilingly welcomed the arrival and considered him a hero.
Some women and children stood in fear outside the house. They can't do anything about it when criminals tear apart their homes. If you do not find a valuable object, criminals do not hesitate to burn it.
"Put those things down!" cry Xiao Chang when he sees the criminal carrying a bag of gold jewelry and holding it in his hand while walking.
The criminal did not heed Xiao Chang's remark.
