Cultivation Goddess
Chapter 285. Enviousness

Confidently the woman advanced before Fang Yin. He ignored the gesture from Patriarch Shi asking him to stay away from there. The woman remained on her feet to join Fang Yin and Jian Heng went to look for food for the entire Shi Clan members.

That woman was Shi An Hui, the daughter of Patriarch Shi.

"No, Miss. Outside is dangerous. You'd better stay here with the others." Fang Yin did not want to take her away.

An Hui looked disappointed. He did not accept Fang Yin's attitude as if feeling great. According to him, he could also do what Fang Yin did.

With her overbearing style, An Hui walked around Fang Yin with his hands folded across his chest. He scanned Fang Yin's body from top to toe. There was no great aura of energy from his body.

"What can you do? We are not both women. I can protect myself, so you don't have to worry." An Hui did not budge.

Hearing that Fang Yin was not immediately angry. He wanted to argue in an elegant manner without causing a commotion.

Fang Yin sat next to the starving child earlier and looked relaxed. Everyone looked at him with incomprehensible looks. They don't know what he wants to do.

"Why are you sitting?" An Hui stared pushyly at Fang Yin.

"Didn't you feel great? So you're the only one leaving. I want to see what you can do." Fang Yin spoke casually.

Fang Yin's ridiculous attitude made Jian Heng shake his head. If this was the case, he could not persuade her anymore either. His girlfriend is very stubborn and likes it. No one could force her until she wanted to do it herself.

"This is not true. You said you wanted to help us find food. Now all of a sudden you sit back and ask me to go alone. Alright, I'll just go with the Third Prince then." An Hui turned around and looked towards Jian Heng.

Fang Yin's hands clenched. The veins on his face stiffened. He felt extremely annoyed at An Hui's shameless attitude.

"I can't go without, Yin'er. If he refuses to leave then I'll stay too." Jian Heng glanced towards Fang Yin who looked uninspired.

"Help your mother and the others just cook food in the back." Patriarch Shi withdrew An Hui's hand forcefully.

At first An Hui refused. Not wanting to be the center of people's attention, he finally chose to resign and went to follow his father.

Jian Heng walked up to Fang Yin and stood sculpting before him. Fang Yin still looked reluctant to look at him and look to the side.

"Let's go!" Jian Heng extended his hand to help Fang Yin rise from his seat.

Not wanting to be a spectacle there, Fang Yin finally agreed to depart. He greeted Jian Heng's hand then stood before him.

They don't talk anymore. Fang Yin and Jian Heng went out of the hut and stood amidst the thick snow. The ice tribe had deliberately planted a snow desert protective formation in its territory so that no other party would enter there. The atmosphere would be even more chaotic if there were other parties outside the ice tribe and glaciers interfering.

"Third Prince, what if we leave by crossing my dimension. We can't linger on leaving the Shi Clan. My heart isn't calm, I'm afraid that the glacier tribe will suddenly come attacking."

Jian Heng's face looked displeased with the way Fang Yin called out to him. He felt like there was a distance that made them far despite being close to each other.

"Yin'er, can you call me brother. Or perhaps more effective than that, too. I feel like we're like everyone else if you keep calling me that." Jian Heng extended his hand to caress Fang Yin's face but Fang Yin immediately lowered his face.

Her face was red. His frustration from An Hui's actions had instantly disappeared. He could hardly believe Jian Heng.

"Sister Heng ...." Fang Yin looked timidly calling Jian Heng as big brother.

Jian Heng smiled happily. He took out something in his hand, a black cloth that Fang Yin used to cover his face.

Although Jian Heng did not say anything but Fang Yin knew if the man wanted him to cover his face again. It is not yet time for his identity to be publicly exposed. Enough he and his family can know for now until the time comes.

"Thank you, Brother Heng. I was thinking of wearing it again." Fang Yin had again covered his face.

"True, your pretty face will make the angels feel envious. Let's go!" Jian Heng's simple praise made Fang Yin blush again.

Fang Yin tried to put aside his personal affairs and return to his goal. He concentrated and divided his energy on Jian Heng. There is no time to relax.

They entered the portal connecting them to the seven element dimension and crossed the personal dimension of Fang Yin to exit at his destination. Jian Heng thought if Fang Yin would hold his hand like before, but that was not the case.

'I was expecting too much. This girl is too innocent to take a chance. Looks like I have a lot of initiative to conquer it.' Jian Heng took a deep breath then exhaled violently.

Fang Yin chose a place that was outside of his destination. They moved to the city border. His sudden arrival would be shocking to anyone who saw him. To that end, he chose to take some distance from his main destination.

The two walked leisurely through the crowd leading to a grocery stall. Fang Yin and Jian Heng split up to shorten the time. In addition to raw unprocessed food ingredients, both also buy foods that are ready for consumption.

As a doctor in the previous world, Fang Yin was more careful about choosing food. He distinguishes food for adults and children. Another case with Jian Heng who bought food according to the number of people who were there.

They keep what they buy into their storage rings. At least for the next week their food stock is still safe. They no longer have to worry about being hungry.

"Sister Heng, we should not take out all the food we buy. The lodge is too narrow to keep everything we buy."

Jian Heng agreed with Fang Yin. They will not be able to rest comfortably in a room that is narrow and full of stuff.

"You're right, Yin'er."

The two of them reused cross-dimensional techniques to return to the Silver Mountain. It has been a while since they shopped until the sun was right over their heads. The stomachs of the two were hungry, but they ignored him and chose to eat together with the Shi Clan.

The short journey brought the two back to the front of the large hut belonging to the ice tribe. Previously this cottage was only used at certain events only. It can be said that this cottage is a multipurpose building commonly used for a celebration.

Jian Heng knocked on the door when they arrived there and waited for someone to open the door for them.

Inside the hut the entire Shi Clan was enjoying their lunch, except for the Fang Yin family. They were unaware of Fang Yin's departure and looked puzzled looking for him.

"Yin'er, where have you been? I've been looking for you since. They said you went looking for groceries." Consort Shi walked over to Fang Yin. Both of his hands held Fang Yin's arms and looked at her deeply. There were still remains of worry on his face.

"I'm sorry, Mother. I'm used to living so free that I forget to say goodbye to you." Fang Yin hugged his mother feeling guilty.

"Oh, forget! Let's eat!" Concubine Shi stretched her arms and took Fang Yin and Jian Heng away with her.

Everyone stared at Jian Heng and Fang Yin with condescending gazes. They thought the two were not really looking for food for them. In the middle of lunch they whispered to each other about the two.

Fang Yin and Jian Heng looked at each other.

Consort Shi who was unhappy about her daughter and her future daughter-in-law became a gossip. However, he could do nothing to silence their mouths.

"Close your ears, Yin'er. We're eating with your grandparents." Concubine Shi walked over leaving Fang Yin hoping that her daughter would follow him behind.

Fang Yin and Jian Heng did not move from his place. They stared at the annoying faces before them.

Patriarch Shi also looked indifferent to the two and thought if they were just bragging alone. They came empty-handed when they left and came back in the same state. Both of them seem to care but do nothing to realize their concern.

"Patriak Shi!" call Fang Yin in a loud voice.

Although his heart was extremely upset, Patriarch Shi could not ignore his call. He walked in front of Fang Yin then saluted. After all, the woman before him was Emperor Gu's daughter even though it was still a doubt.

Fang Yin extended his hand forward right on a long table. Various types of food that is ready to be eaten appear from there and neatly arranged on the table.

Jian Heng did the same. The food they put out was enough for this lunch and later in the afternoon.

After they finished taking out the food they had stored, Fang Yin and Jian Heng left the place and joined Consort Shi.

Patriarch Shi stood his ground and looked at all those delicious foods with a look of disbelief. All this time he had only heard about the storage ring that the royal family had. Now he watches it with both eyes.

Several members of the Shi Clan helped him to share the food with the rest of the clan including the Fang Yin family. They also get the same portion of food as everyone else.

Shi Han Wu spoke to Fang Yin after shaking his head, "Bad brat! You're so happy to play with other people's feelings apparently."

"Those who are happy guess without asking, Cake. We've been working hard today, so let us eat." Fang Yin took the empty bowl for Jian Heng then took it for himself.

The family seemed happy to enjoy their togetherness. Sometimes they chatter and laugh in between their meals. Concubine Shi felt she had lost many of the moments she should have gone through with Fang Yin.

If the rebellion did not exist, maybe both now live happily and live in the palace with all its comfort. However, of course all were not as smooth and beautiful as they had imagined. There must be sharp pebbles that color the life of the palace full of competition.

An Hui stared enviously at the happiness of Fang Yin and her family. They did not know each other very closely. However, Jian Heng's good looks had blinded his heart and only exposed the ugliness of his competitors.

The woman asked her father for permission to go out after helping the women clean up the food and save it for dinner.

"Outside is very dangerous, Hui. You better stay here," prevent Patriarch Shi.

"I'm feeling very bored, Dad. The air in this room is very stuffy after the arrival of two bedbugs." An Hui quipped Fang Yin and Shi Han Wu who were not far from his place. He deliberately put a high pressure and tone when saying his last two words.

Fang Yin was seen closing his eyes for a few seconds as he caught his breath. An Hui's words were indeed very disrespectful, but he didn't want to ruin his mood by thinking about it.

Consort Shi looked furious. When he was about to move, Fang Yin held him back by holding his hand. The middle-aged woman finally burst out and undoed her intentions.

Luckily Shi Han Wu was busy chatting with Jian Heng, Shi Jun Hui and Yu Ruo so as not to hear An Hui's words. The cottage could be ruined with his anger if he was offended.

Patriarch Shi felt bad for Consort Shi and Fang Yin. His eyes showed helplessness. Guilt was mounting in her heart because since childhood she had been overindulging An Hui who had lost her mother since infancy.

Without her consent An Hui still left the room. His heart felt pain as his father showed his guilty face to Fang Yin and his mother.

The room was calm again. The residents sit in groups with their close relatives. Sendau joked and small talk became entertainers amid tension over the existence of the glacier tribe.

Within a great distance, Fang Yin heard a fight. His hearing acuity made him uneasy. The sounds of the vegetables sounded very similar to the voice of An Hui.

Concubine Shi looked at Fang Yin's changing attitude and asked, "What are you thinking, Yin'er? Relax!"

Concubine Shi rubbed Fang Yin's hair gently.

"An Hui is in danger. I don't know if I should help that arrogant girl or not. He alone went to lay down his life on the enemy."

Fang Yin's words were heard by Patriarch Shi and the people around him. Although it was not yet known whether what Fang Yin said was true or not, they looked extremely worried.

"We cannot repay evil with evil, Yin'er. After all he is a member of your clan, the one who has the same blood as you." Jian Heng knew very well that Fang Yin did not like to play around with his words.

Shi Han Wu looked indifferent, but Shi Jun Hui did not. He looked very worried about An Hui. During this time she was known as a good girl and loved to help. He felt rivaled by Fang Yin until his attitude changed.

"We have to help her." Jun Hui got up from his seat and patted Patriarch Shi on the shoulder as a gesture to take him off.
