Cultivation Goddess

Cultivation Goddess
Chapter 251. Alibis

Changyi was unable to remember who the woman in the painting was. The more forceful, the more dizzy his head. He finally chose to sleep and forget everything.

The night was almost nearing mid-afternoon, the entire palace occupants had slept except for Jian Heng, Fang Yin and the warriors on guard.

In the garden of his palace, Jian Heng was cultivating quietly. The essence of natural energy at night is greater than during the day. Tonight he hoped to break through to one level above him.

Unlike Jian Heng, Fang Yin did other activities. He took out a scroll granting Jian Heng and read its contents. The scroll was unfurled before him in a hovering position in the air.

The arrangement of letters and symbols inside the scroll was almost similar to the one in the Six-star Book of Nine Dragons. However, the depiction of attitudes and energy settings applied to space and time techniques was more obvious.

"You're so understanding of me Elder Yu." Fang Yin smiled as he flashed the funny moment he had just passed along with Jian Heng.

Fang Yin did not know what his future would be like. However, he was very confident that Jian Heng would not mind waiting for him.

Thanks to the scrolls given by Jian Heng, Fang Yin had managed to perfect his spatial and time dimensional techniques. After this, he could go against the laws of nature by hacking distance and space and reaching it in the blink of an eye.

By the early hours of the morning, Fang Yin had just fallen asleep. Actually he was eager to see Jian Heng's state outside, but he was afraid of being wrong. Changyi could have known about it and given him an even harsher punishment.

Early in the morning, the atmosphere outside Fang Yin's room already sounded rowdy. Fang Yin woke up and went out to see what was happening.

The rowdy voice came from the voice of Consort Tang who scolded Changyi for having punished Jian Heng for sleeping outside for reasons unknown to him. Jian Heng who did not want the reason for his punishment to be known by his mother tried to defend Changyi.

Concubine Tang did not understand what had happened to her two children. Feeling that something was strange, he turned to Fang Yin who had just come to ask for an explanation.

'Die me! I regret coming out at the wrong time.' Fang Yin went awry.

Jian Heng and Changyi glared at him giving him a gesture to shut up. Fang Yin nodded and Consort Tang turned around to look at her two sons.

"You don't try to manipulate the situation, do you?" Concubine Tang really felt annoyed at the two.

"Your Majesty, wait!" Fang Yin stopped Consort Tang who wanted to knock out the ears of the two princes.

Outside of Jian Heng's palace there were many people who passed by to move. Fang Yin did not want the two princes to feel ashamed.

Concubine Tang turned back to face Fang Yin.

"Tell them what happened, Miss Xiao. No need to fear, they will not dare to mess with you. I'm the first one to step forward if they dare."

Fang Yin grimaced behind his veil, thinking of finding the right reason. If he says the truth, he himself has a problem.

"They .. emm .. they are betting, Your Honor. The Third Prince lost the bet so he received a penalty."

Fang Yin lowered his head, hoping Consort Tang did not feel that he had lied. From the end of her eyes she could see Consort Tang turning to face the two princes.

Fang Yin's answer made Changyi and Jian Heng have to think about answering his mother's question. They knew that Consort Tang was the critical type of person.

"Mother was surprised, you're all grown up but still acting like children. I don't want to know, this can't happen again!"

"Good, Mommy!" They both answered. They breathed a sigh of relief because Consort Tang did not ask the two.

"Mom wants to know, what are you betting on?"

Changyi felt pity seeing Jian Heng who looked down helplessly. She was innocent in this, but her affection for her sister made her unbearable.

"We're betting on who the woman in this painting is, Mom. Jian Heng could not answer so he lost."

Jian Heng glared when he saw the painting in Changyi's hand. He did not think that his brother would take it.

"Is that true, Jian Heng?"

Jian Heng nodded then snatched the painting from Changyi's hands. Changyi was already on guard and pulled his hand back. The two of them again scrambled, making Consort Tang again feel irritated.

With a quick movement, Consort Tang snatched the painting from Changyi's hands. He was curious as to who the woman in the painting was.

Jian Heng's facial expression looked extremely anxious. So did Changyi who felt guilty. His intention wanted to help his sister but instead made matters complicated.

Fang Yin did not understand what was happening and looked at the three of them in turn.

Jian Heng was pounding as Concubine Tang started opening the painting. In a closed state he recognized very well if the painting was a picture of Fang Yin that he had painted.

"Waow! Real pretty. Does this woman really exist or is it just imagination?" Consort Tang observed the painting closely.

Changyi was speechless looking towards Jian Heng. 'May I not give you the wrong answer.'

Jian Heng hoped that Changyi would not know who the woman in the painting was. He also hoped that Fang Yin would not be angry if he knew if it was his face.

"Changyi ...." Concubine Tang's soft voice felt pushy for the owner of the name.

"She .. she ... she is Jing Jihua, Mother."

Actually he knew that the painting was Fang Yin's face. However, he did not want to make trouble with his sister and future brother-in-law.

"Jing Jihua's? It doesn't look alike." Concubine Tang turned the painting around and tilted her head to observe from a different side.

Changyi snatched the painting from Consort Tang's hand before he looked at the woman in detail.

"Sorry I'm not being polite to you, Mother. This morning I have some business to do."

"Hm ... Naughty boy. Go!" Concubine Tang did not want to prolong this matter and let Changyi go.

Jian Heng stared at Changyi's departure with mixed feelings. He did not want Fang Yin's painting to be taken for granted by him. This time, he could do nothing but be patient for a while, after this he would definitely reclaim it.

"What do you see? You're not satisfied fighting with your brother?"

Jian Heng scratched his non-itchy head. It is better to be silent and pretend to be stupid than to have to deal with his mother for longer.
