Commander Jing looked at the wound on Fang Yin's left arm and the dried bloodstains on his shirt.
"Have you suffered a serious injury?" ask Commander Jing.
Fang Yin followed Commander Jing's line of sight. On his arm was indeed a sword scratch wound that was quite deep. However this was not a serious matter for Fang Yin.
"It's not a big deal. This wound will get better soon after I treat it. The commander doesn't need to think about it."
"Hm." Commander Jing nodded.
"Today too I will go to the Imperial capital of the Western Continent. King Yang must be tried immediately. May I ask you one more favor. For that I will help you complete your mission" continued Commander Jing.
Fang Yin's eyes sparkled with pleasure. Finally he heard good news from Commander Jing.
"I'm not sure I can do the job of Commander Jing. But I'll try." Fang Yin fused his hands together to pay his respects.
"Not difficult. Stay here until I get back. Actually I could've cleaned up this place and brought the whole army back. Some of them are still injured. I want them to rest for a few days to heal their wounds."
'Commander Jing is very noble. He was very concerned about the welfare of his troops.' Fang Yin praised Commander Jing.
"I will remain here until Commander Jing returns." Fang Yin replied still with the same attitude. Down with great respect.
Nothing more was said by Commander Jing. An ancient book with a cover and color that Fang Yin was very familiar with appeared above his right palm.
"Take it! I don't want to keep it anymore because I don't understand what it is. The book looks empty." Commander Jing handed the Five-star Book of the Nine Dragons to Fang Yin.
Fang Yin did not take it straight away. He still felt doubtful whether Commander Jing actually gave it that easily to him.
"I'll borrow it for a while, Commander Jing. After I finish reading and understand it, I will immediately return it," said Fang Yin who still seemed to be trembling.
"You didn't hear what I said? You can have this book and it does not need to be returned. I don't understand what it is."
"Thank you for this very valuable gift, Commander," said Fang Yin received the book gladly.
Commander Jing nodded then asked Fang Yin to check the authenticity of the book.
Fang Yin followed Commander Jing's orders. Fang Yin carefully opened the book. He was also curious as to whether the book was empty as Commander Jing had said.
On the first page was a verse that read, "A wind-spinning from the depths of the soul, erasing the trace of relieving thirst."
After that, all that looks like is a blank page. But there are actually writings that might appear after someone solves the puzzle.
"Hows it? Do you understand the book?" asked Commander Jing curiously.
"For now I do not understand, Commander. But I will try to solve this mystery." Fang Yin felt very confident that he could understand the book.
After taking a short rest, Commander Jing set off for the Imperial capital of the Western Continent with a few select troops who had not suffered any injuries during the fight. There are also those who ask to join the group because it has not returned to the capital for a long time.
After keeping it in a safe place, Fang Yin immediately asked for permission to return to his tent. He wanted to treat some wet wounds from being hit by the opponent's sword slash.
For the sake of a book, whatever he is willing to do to bet his life in war. But all his sacrifices bore sweet fruit, the book he sought now he managed to get.
One by one he took off his clothes leaving only his underwear. Upon seeing his injuries, Fang Yin immediately took out the medicinal powder of the wound his mother had given him. He sprinkled it slowly until all his wounds were healed.
Fang Yin immediately changed his clothes with a clean and intact shirt from his storage room. Not wanting to invite people's suspicions, Fang Yin immediately opened her protective spell then acted as if she was just resting.
Given that the Book of Nine Dragons was a book that many cultivators were after, Fang Yin could not carelessly point it out. As much as possible he should keep it a secret and not tell anyone if the book is in his hands.
To learn it, Fang Yin needed a quiet time when no one would bother him. The right time is at night.
"Good day, Master Xu Chen! Are you inside?" yonjie's voice rang out outside Fang Yin's tent.
"Come in!" fang Yin replied not wanting to make Yonjie wait.
'Fortunately, I have finished changing clothes. If not .... Ah, it's hard to imagine, ' murmured Fang Yin inwardly.
Yonjie looked at Fang Yin from top to toe. He had seen several wounds on his body. He hurriedly came there to help her treat those injuries.
"Why Yonjie? Do I look weird?" fang Yin asked feeling astonished by Yonjie's attitude.
"No ... no! It's not so, sir. I've seen there are some wounds on your body, and .. I've come here to help you treat it," Yonjie said.
'God! What would happen if Yonjie helped me treat my wounds? I'd be caught right away if I was a woman.'
"You don't have to worry, I can do it myself. I didn't have many injuries anyway. How's yours?" Fang Yin asked Yonjie.
"Oh, I've been treating him alternately with the other soldiers." Yonjie showed her the wound she had wrapped.
Feeling that there was nothing he needed to do for Fang Yin, Yonjie chose to leave Fang Yin's tent and join the others to rest.
Commander Jing prepared a special squad tasked with treating the wounded soldiers.
There was nothing for the soldiers to do after the war was over.
After Yonjie's departure, Fang Yin again thought of the meaning of the verse written within the Five-star Book of Nine Dragons. If it could not solve the mystery of the verse then Fang Yin would not be able to study its contents.
I don't know how many times the book changed hands, but it looks like the pages in the book look like they are rarely touched by their owners. Fang Yin felt that no one had been able to master the book for a long time.
Tired of thinking while lying down, Fang Yin stood up then walked back and forth in various styles while continuing to repeat the verse. His head was throbbing as he kept thinking about the answers he had not found.
Feeling extremely dizzy, Fang Yin finally fell asleep that afternoon.
In his sleep, Fang Yin entered into dreamland. There he felt as if he had become small and was with his father in the imperial palace. Emperor Gu invited him to play word guessing and verse.
"Now guess this verse, Yin'er! A wisp of wind blew from the depths of the soul, erasing the trace of relieving thirst," Emperor Gu said the same verse as the one in the Five-star Book of Nine Dragons.
