Cultivation Goddess
Chapters 396. Worriedly

Ling Shasha looked to the left right and found no one there. He rushes to get up and cleans his clothes that were soiled by dust. However, again he fell back to the ground as his body was pushed by the extremely powerful energy from the direction of the bath.

Both of his elbows hit the ground hard, causing injuries. Ling Shasha grimaced in pain while trying to get up. Luckily there no one saw him and made him avoid embarrassment.

Giving up on the circumstances, he chose to sit on the ground while waiting for Fang Yin to finish.

'Is His Majesty taking a bath or practicing? The energy coming out from inside the bathhouse made me completely helpless.' Ling Shasha looked towards the bath while grimacing withstanding the pain in her elbows and knees.

A state of unrest continued around the palace. Jian Heng went out of the study to look at him. Unlike the people who had come out first, he could only catch a glimpse of it.

Feeling that there was nothing more interesting to look at, Jian Heng again walked towards his study. Just a few steps he walked, in the distance was seen a bodyguard running to meet him. The bodyguards stepped in haste without daring to stop him.

Jian Heng stopped his steps right in front of the door of his study. Actually he had already noticed the arrival of the bodyguards since he was still within a long distance. Everything he did was intentional because he wanted to receive his report in the workspace.

"Oh, Your Majesty! I'm going to report ...." The guard's words came to a halt as Jian Heng raised his right hand.

"Come in!" jian Heng's orders later.

The bodyguards followed Jian Heng's steps towards a long table. He remained in a standing position while waiting for Jian Heng to sit properly in his chair. Before being asked to speak, he would remain silent in his place.

"Say what news you brought!" jian Heng exclaimed with a straight look towards the bodyguards.

"I want to convey that the entourage from the Middle Continent has arrived at the palace. We've welcomed him and they're resting in the hall."

Jian Heng immediately moved from his seat after hearing the news from the bodyguard. The news of his mother's arrival was conveyed by a messenger some time ago. Before it gets dark, he should welcome her immediately.

"You can get back to work!" jian Heng exclaimed as he walked away from his study.

Her steps were so hasty as not wanting to let her mother wait too long. Although he was welcomed by the courtiers, he was still the most important to his mother.

In the middle of his journey he crossed paths with Fang Yin and Ling Shasha. Fang Yin's appearance was already very neat and fragrant due to the coincidence that he had finished bathing. Ling Shasha quickly helped her prepare and immediately went to see Consort Tang.

"Yin'er! Do you know about the arrival of your mother? Or have you been told before to get ready early?" jian Heng asked between their steps.

"I don't know. I happened to go to the shower early. Shouldn't Brother Heng go prepare first?"

Fang Yin knew that her husband was currently uncomfortable with her appearance.

"No. I have to go see my mom first, even for a minute. After that, I leave it to you."

Fang Yin replied to Jian Heng's words with a nod as the two were already close to the reception room.

Some guards opened the way for them. In order to maintain the safety and comfort of the Jian Heng great family of the Middle Continent, they could not be banged up. Huan Ran deliberately added some trained soldiers to guard around the room.

Concubine Tang and a few personal bodyguards immediately stood up when they saw the arrival of Jian Heng and Fang Yin. They then give each other greetings and respect before chatting to let go of longing.

Fang Yin's extended family came to the room to honor their guests. They exchanged stories with each other. Amidst the excitement, Jian Heng was forced to leave the room to prepare.

The meal time is still very long. Fang Yin escorted and accompanied Consort Tang to go rest in the room prepared for him.

The emperor's palace,

Jian Heng arrived at his palace when it was getting dark. The lights had been lit producing a dim light that illuminated the surroundings. He went there only to put down his great clothes before going to the bath.

To shorten the time, Jian Heng would do everything quickly. For a second he did not rest in his room and went straight to the bath. There was no one else there other than him and the guards standing guard outside the palace.

Suddenly Jian Heng stopped his steps from feeling that there was a life not far from where he was standing.

'I felt the human air around me. His breath felt so clear even though he had tried to hide his presence.'

Jian Heng strengthened his sensitivity to aiming at his prey. He did not stop thinking when he realized there were still intruders who could enter his palace amid such tight security. When he felt sure he then threw a small weapon towards the place he suspected as an intruder hideout.

Kinggo!

There were sounds of two objects coming from metal clashing with each other. It is suspected that the sound came from the weapon he threw had hit something. Along with that Jian Heng also saw a flash of shadow flashed from there and went to a place that was no longer reachable by his senses.

The life she had previously felt disappeared with the departure of the black shadow.

With a slow step Jian Heng approached the traces of energy left behind by the intruder. The weapon he threw was lying on the ground. Beside him was another thing that was like a piece of gold.

'I'll keep it to find out who the owner is. If I observe carefully, this thing seems to belong to a woman.'

Not wanting to waste any longer, Jian Heng immediately continued his journey towards the bath. The intruder had escaped, impossible if he could find her tonight as well. Unraveling an unsolved mystery requires patience.

Fang Yin felt suspicious because Jian Heng did not come to catch up with him at Consort Tang's residence. He had left earlier than her but had not returned. Concubine Tang had just finished her bath and was preparing.

"Yin'er! What the hell are you thinking? Why are you daydreaming?" concubine Tang asked in the mirror to receive the services of a maid who was tidying her hair.

Concubine Tang's gentle speech made Fang Yin slightly flutter. She quickly turned to her mother-in-law and tried to control herself. His face was met red for enduring the shame of daydreaming.

"Ah, I'm looking at the night view, Mother. It seems like the banquet has started to be prepared." Fang Yin shifted the conversation to another topic.

Actually Consort Tang knew about the trick her daughter-in-law played to reduce her nervousness. However, he chose to follow the flow. Such a small issue need not be discussed further.

"I won't be long. This is the last hairpin to be fitted." Concubine Tang corrected her almost finished makeup.

Fang Yin nodded.

Not long after, the two left their temporary residence, Consort Tang. Occasionally Fang Yin looked into the distance to find Jian Heng's figure. Until they reached the halfway point, her husband had not yet appeared either.

"I feel a different aura within you," Consort Tang said opening the conversation after a long moment of silence.

Fang Yin felt awkward. She thought Consort Tang was back to commenting on what he was doing.

"I'm sorry, Mother. I look worried because it's been a while Brother Heng left but hasn't come back yet." Fang Yin's voice sounded nervous.

Concubine Tang smiled.

'So Yin'er was visibly agitated because she was thinking about my son. Right too, where's that bad boy. He left before it was dark but he hasn't come back yet.' Concubine Tang monologued in heart.

"It's not usually that Brother Heng linger to the bath. It doesn't feel possible if he's prepared and not finished until now." Fang Yin spoke again.

Concubine Tang finally delayed the serious thing she wanted to say to Fang Yin. The current affairs of Jian Heng were more important than all of that. What he did was beyond his usual limits, it was indeed something to worry about.

"Maybe we need to check it out. However, before that we find out first whether he has preceded us to go to the banquet hall or not."

Fang Yin agreed with Consort Tang's opinion. He called a bodyguard to do this task. Meanwhile, she and Concubine Tang remained there to wait for news from him.

Both Fang Yin and Concubine Tang felt anxious waiting for the arrival of the bodyguards they sent.

The distance between the banquet hall and their place stopped far enough that they had to be patient. The bodyguards they sent out were already trying to leave quickly by running. After waiting for a while, his shadow suddenly emerged from the darkness.

The bodyguard saluted while adjusting his breath before speaking. Going home with running made him gasp.

"For example, Your Majesty the Empress. His Majesty the Emperor is not in the banquet hall."

Concubine Tang and Fang Yin looked at each other when they heard her. This news is a little surprising to them. It felt very strange if Jian Heng lingered in the palace while his mother was coming.

They could not guess what happened to Jian Heng. The Emperor Palace was a place that was quite closed and difficult to penetrate by the enemy. Even so, they had to go to check it out and see what was going on.

Fang Yin and Consort Tang moved quickly towards there.

"Don't act rashly, Yin'er! We must do everything in full calculation." Concubine Tang reminded Fang Yin to be on guard.

"Good, Mommy."

The two got closer and almost reached the emperor's palace. The irregularities started to feel and made Fang Yin think quickly.

"Wait, Mommy!" fang Yin exclaimed at Consort Tang and forced him to stop at a place hidden outside the palace.
