Three servants walked in hand into Fang Yin's room. Each of them carried a tray containing food and drinks for Fang Yin and Jian Heng. One of them put the food on the other table and then cleaned the table that still holds the food furniture before.
The waiter looked cautious and arranged the dishes well. The aroma of the soup and the various foods served felt familiar to Fang Yin's nose. His mother's cuisine is different from the results of cooking palace chefs.
"Wait!" fang Yin exclaimed as the servants were about to leave the palace.
They simultaneously stopped with a gaze that was bowed to the floor. One of them advanced before Fang Yin to receive the order.
"Oh, Your Majesty. Is there a job we need to do?" ask the waiter.
"No. I want to ask Ling Shasha for whereabouts. Did you guys see him?"
Before his fight with the butler, Fang Yin left him just like that on the way to his palace. He forgot to give her orders.
"Oh, Your Majesty. We didn't see it" replied the waiter.
That answer left Fang Yin stunned but he did not want to stop the servant any longer. His right hand was raised upwards as a signal if they could leave. Eyes full of curiosity accompanied their departure.
"What are you thinking? You must be worried about that new waitress, right?" Jian Heng shook his head inexhaustibly.
Fang Yin lowered his head. He did not want to argue and chose to think alone. Circumstances did not allow for them to exchange stories.
"Wait a minute! I'll get you some food." Fang Yin got up from his seat and went to pick up the dish.
Out of his expectations, Jian Heng did not want to keep silent waiting for him. He moved out of his bed to catch up with her. His body was still in the process of recovery, no wonder that Fang Yin did not like what he was doing.
Seeing him walk so painstakingly, Fang Yin immediately put down his cutlery to meet Jian Heng.
"Bas stubborn! Brother Heng is still weak. Should have just laid back, I'll be here soon. Waiting for a moment just impatiently," Fang Yin scolded.
"I'm fine, Yin'er. My legs cramp so my path is like this." Jian Heng tried to calm Fang Yin down. In fact, his body still felt very weak.
From the touch of his hand, Fang Yin could feel the state of Jian Heng's body but he really did not want to argue tonight. As a knight man, her husband's pride would be hurt if he depended on her.
'I know you forced yourself to sit down and eat at the table. However, there is nothing to fear as long as I am with you.' Fang Yin stared gently at Jian Heng with a deep feeling. For some reason, her feelings said as if she had almost lost her husband.
Before enjoying his dinner, Fang Yin checked the drinks and food first. He felt a little relieved when he did not find any poison in all those foods. Despite this, he could not speculate and said that no other intruder besides the butler had died.
"Why did the intruder suddenly not put poison in your drink?" jian Heng asked in the middle of eating them.
"Eitherway! Maybe he had other plans and thought if these plans were too slow." It was not yet time for him to reveal the death of the butler to Jian Heng so that he would not be suspicious thinking about what had really happened.
Fang Yin's opinion made him think. They had to be alert in front of him and prepare to face an enemy that might attack them all of a sudden.
A very delicious dinner feels so bland because of the many problems that accompany them. Both Fang Yin and Jian Heng kept their own secrets. They both close themselves to something that is difficult for them for each other.
Concubine Shi asked Consort Tang a lot of things. The question made him feel a dilemma. It was very difficult for her to lie and cover up Fang Yin's pregnancy from her biological parents but she had to keep her for the sake of looking after their future grandchildren.
Their conversation now leads more to other things and all that is not related to the child and his son-in-law.
Actually Consort Shi knew of Concubine Tang's change in attitude that looked uncomfortable tonight. However, he did not want to deduce something that he did not understand clearly. Being in the middle of a lot of people sometimes prevents someone from speaking freely.
"Today Yin'er has often experienced health problems. Not to mention Heng'er was also hit by problems. So much work makes him have to be always busy and forget about himself" Consort Shi said on the way to Consort Tang's residence.
"Don't think about it too much! They're all grown-ups. As parents, we simply watch her from afar and give her a little freedom." Concubine Tang did not want Consort Shi to be anywhere near Fang Yin and Jian Heng as they were trying to hide things.
"You're right, Brother Tang. They have had a lot of difficulties in the long journey. I'm the one who worries too much and thinks of them as children." Concubine Shi could finally smile.
"It's good if you've noticed it. Let's take a break. Tomorrow morning, I'm gonna go see the kids." Concubine Tang intended to break off their conversation.
"See you tomorrow. Good night," said Consort Shi.
"Good night."
After Consort Shi's departure, Consort Tang went inside her room and locked her up from the inside. He couldn't sleep that night. As long as Fang Yin and Jian Heng had not been able to use his strength, he had to stand guard around him.
Many things could possibly happen and Consort Tang had to keep a secret about the frail condition of the child and her daughter-in-law. Tonight, he could not sleep well and left them not in security. As the only people who knew about Fang Yin and Jian Heng's state, he intended to keep a quiet vigil around their residence.
Concubine Tang took the all-black clothes from her dress box. Not to forget he took the face cover with matching colors. No one will recognize his present appearance. Now he looks more like a bandit than a noble.
The atmosphere outside his residence was already very quiet considering the late night. In front of the room were two guards. Concubine Tang decided to go out through her bedroom window and walk quietly in the darkness.
Occasionally he waited for the guard to step off guard and just stepped back. The distance between his residence and Fang Yin's palace which was quite far away made his journey a little long. After much effort he finally managed to enter the emperor's palace.
'The security here is good enough. Only intruders with high abilities were able to barge in. I have to stay alert.'
Concubine Tang found a safe lurking spot. From where he stood he could clearly see the state of affairs in Fang Yin's room and the surroundings. A large tree that is high enough to be the place to shelter at this time.
Until a while there were no suspicious things around him. Concubine Tang decided to jump onto a tree and sit leaning against a branch. His eyes kept watching around and saw the slightest movement, even the wind blowing on the tip of the leaf invited his attention.
After the time passed midnight, Consort Tang began to feel a strange chill. He felt a powerful energy aura approaching toward Fang Yin's room. The light of the dim lights made everything look faint.
Concubine Tang increased her focus and suppressed her presence.
'Who is that guy? What are they doing these nights?'
