The unrest at the western border continues. Actually the distance of the border with the palace of the Eastern Continent was not too far away. If taken by horse riding can be reached in half a day only.
The envoy who became a spy returned to the palace at noon. It was thought that he would arrive at the palace at sunset with a single break to feed the horses as well as himself.
A fairly crowded store became the choice of the messenger to stop by. Outside the shop were also seen two horsemen who were caring for a horse belonging to someone. The messenger came to him and came down from his horse.
"Good afternoon, sir. I want someone to feed and take care of my horse. Where can I find him?" ask emissaries.
The two people who were taking care of the horse stared towards the envoy. They can take care of two horses simultaneously at one time.
"We can take care of your horse along with this horse. You can leave it if you like," said the man.
"Alright, thanks. I'd like to go to the tavern ahead first and wait for you to finish taking care of these horses" said the messenger as he handed over his strap.
"Please, Sir." Horse nurse man takes rope from messenger's hand.
Visitors to the shop the messenger was going to was very crowded. The whole table in the room was full of visitors. He continued to circulate his gaze in search of an empty place until he suddenly heard the voice of someone calling out to him.
"Yes! Yuan!" call him.
The messenger twisted his body to look for who called him just now. The crowded shop made it difficult. He found it after a while of searching.
It was unexpected that he would meet the people from the Imperial palace of the Eastern Continent here as well. Without hesitation Yuan walked up to him and sat at the same table as him.
"Mr Huang Ran, are you alone?" asked Yuan after he sat down.
"I'm alone. It's the second day I come out of the palace and will return after this," Huang Ran replied.
Yuan nodded.
"I am also heading to the palace. There's important news I need to tell you." Yuan and Huang Ran spoke in a soft voice.
"I want to hear it but not here. We can talk about it on the way," Huang Ran said as he accepted his order.
Seeing that Yuan's order had not come, he did not eat it immediately.
"Please eat first, sir. My order will be here soon too." Yuan did not want to make Huang Ran wait.
"It's okay. This food is also too hot when your message comes it must be easier to eat."
Yuan nodded.
Not long after that his order came. They also ate it together.
Very crowded shop visitors keep coming. They are willing to wait in line to get the food they want. Quite a long time things went well but suddenly someone came to grab the queue and there was a commotion.
Two men fighting in the tavern. Yuan wanted to come over but Huang Ran stopped him.
"Don't involve yourself in unimportant matters. We have to keep our identities secret." Huang Ran put down the cutlery then stood up from his seat.
Yuan according. He followed what Huang Ran had done. As a new person in her job, she still needs guidance and a lot to learn from her seniors.
The two of them came out of the tavern to avoid any commotion. Their horses were also finished with his needs. Apparently Huang Ran's horse was also taken care of by the same person as the one taking care of Yuan's horse.
Huang Ran gave a sum of gold coins to the horse nurse and paid the maintenance fee for Yuan's horses.
"Thank you, Master," Yuan said as he put his hands together.
"No need to worry, it's not a big thing." Huang Ran jumped on the back of his horse.
Not wanting to be left behind, Yuan followed him. They drove the horse at high speed leaving the place. When it was far from the residential area, Huang Ran slowed down the pace of his horse.
As he said in the tavern, Huang Ran wanted to hear the important news brought by Yuan. After making sure no one else was around them, Huang Ran prepared to ask Yuan.
"Yuan, I want to know the news you brought. After arriving at the palace I will directly convey it to Emperor Heng."
Yuan looked to the left right to return to ensure it was safe. As a spy of choice he was very careful. He started telling stories after being absolutely sure no one else was listening to his story.
"The situation on the western border is precarious, sir. They had difficulty getting food supplies and were starving. There was someone who deliberately stopped the supply of foodstuffs to the region." Yuan saw this incident directly.
"Do you know who is behind this?" asked Huang Ran.
"I don't know for sure who is the leader of this rebellion but I do know where their headquarters is. Its members continue to grow every day. They attract community support by providing food. The more days the public's confidence in the government run by Emperor Heng is decreasing because of their incitement."
Huang Ran was speechless listening to the story from Yuan. This situation must be overcome immediately before the influence of the rebels is widespread. In the end, the lower classes will be the victims.
They are not aware that they are currently being used only by rebel groups. The food they received was their right. However, they do not know if it all comes from the government.
"I will pass this news on to Emperor Heng. You can rest after you arrive at the palace. For the next mission I'll come to see you to inform you." Huang Ran returned to speaking after a moment of silence.
"Good, Sir."
There's nothing more to talk about. Huang Ran and Yuan spurred his horse at high speed in order to arrive at the palace immediately.
As expected, they were until just after sunset. The lights on the streets of the city were already on. The palace gate guards instantly recognized the two as they displayed the imperial special token.
Yuan and Huang Ran took separate paths. Not wanting to waste much time, Huang Ran wanted to immediately meet Jian Heng while Yuan rested in his residence.
Jian Heng was still in his study when Huang Ran came over. His personal bodyguard delivered Huang Ran to him. After arriving at the door, the bodyguard left him and returned to duty.
"Good night, Your Majesty." Huang Ran gave his regards.
The door of Jian Heng's room was open so that he could clearly see who the person who had come was.
Huang Ran saluted for a while then prepared to report. First he reported the mission he was running. After that he reported news of the riots that took place at the border.
Jian Heng listened to him carefully and thought about the steps he would take. However, he could not make a decision before discussing it with Fang Yin and the Governing Council.
"You can rest now. We'll meet in the meeting room tomorrow. This problem should be solved immediately. However, I can't make a decision right now. I don't want people who don't know anything to be a victim in the capture of the rebels" Jian Heng said.
"Okay, Your Majesty." Huang Ran saluted then walked away from Jian Heng's study.
Jian Heng's thoughtful demeanor left him in awe. He only wanted to capture the rebels without harming innocent people. At first glance it sounds simple but in practice of course this will not be easy.
It would be difficult to convince a society that has been incited by the rebels. They do not know the truth and will certainly be willing to do anything to defend the rebels they consider as heroes.
Often Jian Heng was in his study until late at night. This time he wanted to finish his job early. He impatiently wanted to pass on the news that Huang Ran had brought to Fang Yin.
Luckily his job today wasn't too much. Jian Heng could return home early to his palace.
"Sister Heng, you've come." Fang Yin was eating when Jian Heng came. She put down her cutlery and walked over to greet her husband.
"Why don't you just go on with your dinner." Jian Heng put down the coat he had just released.
"It's okay. My food won't go stale just because I'm gonna be gone for a while." Fang Yin grabbed Jian Heng's arm and took him sitting beside him.
Jian Heng felt hungry as he looked at the dish before him. He ate only a little in his study.
Jian Heng's facial expression did not escape Fang Yin's observation. Despite not saying so, Jian Heng was seen wanting to taste the food before him.
"Do you want me to get you something to eat?" ask Fang Yin.
"I ate earlier. If I may, I'd like to eat a few mouthfuls."
Fang Yin would reach for the empty bowl but his hand was held by Jian Heng.
"Buet me from your bowl." Jian Heng wanted the food that was in Fang Yin's bowl.
"All right!" Fang Yin smiled.
They eat from the same bowl. Several times Fang Yin added food until both of them felt completely full. They eat well and make both bodies look fuller.
"Yin'er, there is something I want to talk to you about," Jian Heng said after they finished with the meal.
"It looks very important. Did something happen?" fang Yin asked curiously as she looked at the serious-looking Jian Heng.
Jian Heng relayed the news that Huang Ran had brought to Fang Yin regarding the matter occurring at the western border. Before discussing it with the Governing Council, he wanted to first hear Fang Yin's opinion as a matter of consideration.
"How dare he fight me. We don't have to involve anyone to solve this problem. I'll go down directly to catch them." Fang Yin clenched his hands tightly.
"No! You can't do it. There's a more important task than that. We have to trust the troops we have. In this way we can also measure the strength of the troops we have."
Fang Yin was speechless hearing Jian Heng's explanation. His fighting soul could not be restrained by anything but all of Jian Heng's words were indeed true. He could not handle all the problems that happened alone.
It does not rule out the possibility that problems will continue to arise. Perhaps not just one two considering the vast territory of the Empire of the Eastern Continent. This is only the beginning of his lead, there are still many things that need to be learned to the interior.
"All right! We will study the location and habits of the people who live in the region first. Let there be no mistake. We need complete information before we take action." Fang Yin finally complied with Jian Heng.
"This is what I want from you. Huang Ran received a report from an envoy we sent to monitor the region. Tomorrow we can call him to give us the information we need. In addition, we also have to minimize the casualties of the people who live in the vicinity."
"It would be hard considering the rebels have brainwashed the people living there to fight the government. We can't choose the victim as we want but it depends on what the situation will be" Fang Yin said with a stern look in his eyes.
Jian Heng looked sad. There could be bloody battles that would probably take a lot of lives if the inhabitants of the western border remained on the side of the rebels and against the troops of the empire.
"Sister Heng don't worry. I'm also thinking about how to reduce the casualties. We better get some rest tonight." Fang Yin looked at Jian Heng's tired face.
The two would discuss the matter the next day and choose to take a break. They are very sleepy but the eyes are still reluctant to shut. Jian Heng looked agitated and flipped his body several times.
"Yin'er, have you not felt any signs of conceiving our child?" jian Heng asked curiously.
Fang Yin shook his head.
"It's not even a month before we get married, be patient" Fang Yin said.
"I can't wait to be called Dad. It sounds so sweet." Jian Heng smiled as he looked towards Fang Yin.
To cover up his embarrassment Fang Yin hugged Jian Heng and hid his face by immersing him in Jian Heng's chest. She also wanted to get pregnant as soon as possible. As a married woman, being a mother is a matter of pride.
Sweet delusions flap their delusions. Slowly their eyes closed carrying the beautiful shadow they craved. A smile adorns a calm face that is asleep in a dream.
A moment after falling asleep, Fang Yin was like walking in an unfamiliar world in his subconscious. The scenery in his place today is not much different from the situation in the human world. The difference in land is not too broad and like a small island hanging in the sky.
Fang Yin walked around and found white clouds surrounding the small island he was treading on. He saw the same sun as he used to see every day. It's just that the air in this place feels cooler.
His body felt a considerable energy essence at a point. That place is not far from where it is at the moment. However, he could not see clearly due to the fog that limited his visibility.
His feet stepped toward the source of energy that made him feel curious. Faintly visible light shone in the air. It seemed like the source was at a high place.
'I have to be careful. Although his energy essence was enormous, it could have contained danger. I have to stay alert.' Fang Yin muttered inwardly and slowed his pace.
