Chapters 289. The War of the Companion Spirit
Fang Yin gasped at the power possessed by Jian Heng. The pressure is so great that the space around them feels narrowed because they are too close. With all his might Fang Yin tried to hold him back.
'I didn't expect that Brother Heng currently has the same ability as me. This is really shocking news.' Fang Yin smiled in between the feeling of tightness due to Jian Heng's energy pressure.
The blue-colored energy that appeared in Jian Heng's hand grew even bigger. The calm air around the place started to blow violently. A huge whirlwind removed the snowflakes falling around him.
After the energy was sized as he wished, Jian Heng released it onto the wisp of energy Fang Yin had continuously reduced. The sound of thunder boomed along with Jian Heng's energy touching the wisp of Fang Yin's energy.
Members of the ice tribe and glacier tribe retreated back to stay away. The ever earthy voice of Thunder forced them to leave. Their ears hurt and their hearts jerked every time the thunder boomed.
'I just saw the unification of the energies of three different elements. I'd better be careful.' Guan Xing acted wary and continued to throw his crystal sword.
"Stop, Yin'er! Leave the rest to me!" yelled Jian Heng.
Fang Yin saw Guan Xing's swords sliding towards him, but he believed in Jian Heng that he could overcome it.
Fang Yin's palm opened and twisted his wrist until it was seen pushing forward. A light Qi flowed there. He would impede the pace of Guan Xing's ice sword before Jian Heng's stance worked.
Jian Heng pushed his two hands up with his face that was also looking up. His eyeballs also gave off the same aura as the energy flowing from his palms.
"So straight rain of lightning!" pekik Jian Heng mentioned the name of the skill for the first time.
His right hand moved downward as if he was pulling something. It was not long before hundreds of fire-covered ice crystals and electrical energy shot towards Guan Xing. The extremely fast movement of the crystals made it difficult to dodge.
Guan Xing took out a protective seal and repelled Jian Heng's attack. However, the speed and pressure of the energy that led to it was so great that it made the seal crack in two attacks.
Fang Yin watched the fight between Jian Heng and Guan Xing. He meticulously watched her every move made by Guan Xing and Jian Heng.
The energy controlled by Jian Heng would be depleted in one more attack. He did not want to waste this opportunity as Guan Xing's defense weakened. His hand pulled the wisp of energy quickly and threw it towards Guan Xing.
A loud explosion sounded thunderous. The energy waves caused by it resulted in a very strong horizontal pressure. Luckily Guan Xing's body position was in the air so that it did not cause any effects within the altitude.
Guan Xing's body was nowhere to be seen as it was covered in an explosion that produced a thick fog. The flash of fire and lightning that enveloped his body also caused a decrease in the visibility of those around him.
Fang Yin felt that this was not over. When pressed, Guan Xing's companion's spirit rose and caused his body's condition to grow stronger. It could also be said if he was currently possessed by his companion spirit beast.
Jian Heng also felt the same way as Fang Yin. He prepared to fight the spirit beasts that controlled Guan Xing.
The shadow of Guan Xing's companion spirit beast had yet to be clearly seen, but the sound of his howling sounded so sinister. From the characteristics of his voice, Guan Xing's companion spirit is the polar bear of legend.

Guan Xing's body fell right before Shi Jun Hui and Yu Ruo. His hand pulled out a hairpin-shaped object. He threw it recklessly to the point of sticking it in Yu Ruo's right arm.
Guan Xing no longer paid attention to what would happen to Yu Ruo and went back to fighting against Jian Heng. He was certain that the spirit picker artifact would work without him controlling it.
Yu Ruo tried to pull the artifact out of his arm but to no avail. Jun Hui and Han Wu attempted to help uproot it but they were unsuccessful as well.
The artifact seemed to have fused with Yu Ruo's body. There was nothing else he could do but attempt to resist the energy from the artifact and resist its influence.
Yu Ruo's body started to lose control. He felt that his body was going to bring out the companion spirit beast that he had been covering up all along. Few people knew if he was a cultivator, let alone about the companion spirit beast he had.
Yu Ruo walked forward with staggering steps. Han Wu looked very worried but Jun Hui blocked him from approaching Yu Ruo. In his current position only Yu Ruo alone could finish it.
Fang Yin was too busy looking at the fight between Guan Xing and Jian Heng so did not notice the state of his grandmother being far enough away from him. From the fight between Guan Xing and Jian Heng, Fang Yin could learn many new attack techniques. He reluctantly moved on from staring at the two while looking for an opportunity to take part.

'I feel familiar with the energy of this phoenix. If he comes from the same clan as me, why would he attack me?' Fang Yin thought in the middle of dodging the attacks from Yu Ruo.
The so legendary companion spirit beast suddenly appeared in the midst of a fierce fight between the ice tribe and the glacier tribe. Fang Yin looked like he had a burden where he had to fight without hurting his opponent. He had to look for his weakness and conquer it in a state of fine.
Fang Yin's astonishment at the appearance of this phoenix had not disappeared, but another situation appeared that made him even more clueless. His two grandfathers caught up with him and stood beside him. From their faces read an anxiety that invited his desire to ask.

The fire phoenix attacks continued to come toward the three in succession. The energy seemed endless and made them a little overwhelmed. They were unable to retaliate against Yu Ruo's attack in order to keep him safe.
"Grandfather, I have an idea!" cry Fang Yin while jumping from above Yang Hui's body.
Without his orders Yang Hui would not attack anyone.
