The Wrong Law

That night, Darren stood guard alone. As expected, many powerful monsters sprung up. But that's not a big deal for Darren.

With as little as possible Darren tried to kill those monsters. He does not bother those who are asleep.

"Actually, what is their purpose?" Darren muttered thinking about the army. "Do they want to go somewhere?"

"Yosh, Yuzuna's good work," Shouted Rolf from afar.

As soon as the three of them were about to approach each other all of a sudden, the spider came out of the fire.

"Yuzuna-san, look out!" Darren Shouts.

"Non-elemental Spell: Boost!" At full speed, Darren ran towards the spider. He drew his sword and...

"Aergium Blade Art: Wind Cutting Slash!" Darren uses the same technique as Rolf, and even he adds to his attack, "Non-elemental Spell: Channeling Fire!"

The attack paralyzed him.

"Y-yes I'm fine," said the young man who turned out to be an animal man.

"Hurry to find shelter!" Darren told the young man. "I'm going to fight this thing."

Quickly, the animal man immediately hid behind a tree.

Darren's knowledge of the Albtraum Scorpion is quite extensive. Thanks to his frequent trips to the library, he became aware of some of the weaknesses of the enemy he was facing.

The fireball injured the scorpion, causing it to suffer severe burns.

"Aergium Sword Arts: Hurricane Slash!" Rolf emerged from the top of the tree. He immediately launched right on top of the scorpion.

With his greatsword, he swirled through the air like a hurricane and cut off the scorpion's tail.

"Non-elemental Spell: Channel, Sharpness!" Darren said as he directed his magic towards Rolf's sword.

With a moment, Rolf's sword glowed. He could feel the power in his sword. Swung on! The scorpion's tail was cut off.

"Yuzuna, burn the monster!" Darren Shouts.

"good. Leave it to me!" Said Yuzuna while swinging her staff. "Fire Elemental: Extermination Fire!"

A great fire devoured the scorpion.

"Wind Elemental: Hurricane!" Darren. He made a hurricane right in the middle of the blaze, and made it double.

The scorpion burned, leaving nothing but ashes. Darren and his friends gathered.

"Wow, Darren. I didn't know that you could use wind magic as well" Rolf said as he patted her on the shoulder. "So that was great."

"Yuzuna is great too. His fire of extermination actually burned the scorpion to the point of scorching" Darren said.

Then the animal came out from behind the tree. It has white ears and looks like a wolf.

"Thank you very much, you saved me" he said, prostrating himself.

"Ah, no problem. It's our duty to help each other" Darren replied. "Are you hurt?"

"T-no. Just a little scratched," Reply Human animal while showing his legs were torn because it had been hit by a claw attack from the scorpion.

"That's not a scratch! Here, let me heal," Darren said as he cast his magic.

"Non-elemental Spell: Heal!"

The animal man was amazed and surprised by Darren's treatment. "Wait a minute, are you serious?" Worrying. "Treating a human animal, it's dangerous for reputa..."

"Well, it's healed!" Darren said cut.

Rolf and Yuzuna were stunned to see Darren. For them, curing an animal man was an uncommon act.

"Oh, yes. What's yourname?" Darren asked sokam.

"H-hayate" replied the animal man slowly.

"I'm Darren, and they're Rolf and Yuzuna" Darren said as he introduced his party.

Rolf and Yuzuna just smiled and waved awkwardly. They don't understand Darren's behavior.

In this world, animal humans are often made into slaves. Some were made into combat slaves, slave workers, and some were even used as slaves for lust.

Connecting with a wild animal human could make one's reputation damaged, and would be considered a lowly human. Unless the person is the master of the animal.

That was why Rolf and Yuzuna were surprised to see Darren being that brave to treat animal humans.

Rolf approached Darren and asked him to speak with four eyes. Darren was certainly confused by the behavior of his friend.

"Darren, aren't you afraid?" Ask Rolf.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Darren said in confusion.

"I guessed it, he didn't know anything."

"Is there no law in your place of origin that forbids humans from contact with animal humans?" Ask Rolf.

"Of course not. Even where I'm from, animal humans don't live" Darren keceplosan. "Ah..I mean, this is the first time I've met a human animal."

Darren looked at his friends, asking their opinions. Yuzuna and Rolf agreed. After all, the two of them were also exhausted from walking.

"Alright, please take us, yeah. Hayate," Darren said excitedly.

Hayate smiled. Then he took them and let them spend the night there.
