Akira sat by the river while staring at the setting sun in front of his face. Today he is wearing long-sleeved clothing, in the hope that the wound on his hand will not be visible.
A gentle breeze blew his tangled hair. Sometimes a few hairs accidentally entered his eyes. It was then that she realized that her hairpin had disappeared.
He simply buried his face between his knees with eyes looking into the distance across the river. The green grass danced under the bright sunlight.
"Oh, I finally found you," A voice surprised the girl.
He looked up and saw the police man standing behind him. Smiling, the man waved at her.
"Enjoy the afternoon again, huh?" He asked while sitting next to Akira. "I have to admit, I'm starting to like coming here because of you. But I think that's a good thing."
Akira raised his face. "Because of me?"
The man was initially somewhat surprised the little girl finally replied to his words. He just smiled as he continued talking.
"Yes. Despite my concern for you, the scenery here really spoils my eyes. I think you've got good taste in choosing where to hang out" she said. "Detracting in front of the afternoon sun is indeed very steady. Ah, maybe you haven't felt it. But when you grow up, you'll rarely get a chance like this."
"Hm.. is that so..." Akira again buried his face.
Suddenly something passed on the man's face. It was like remembering something important. He immediately pulled his police-style waist bag and began to reach into something in it. Shortly after, he saw something coming out.
"Oh yes. I just remembered wanting to give you this, " said the man while showing a teddy bear the size of a palm. It didn't get there. A flower-patterned hairpin appears pinched in his left ear.
Akira's eyes instantly glowed, as if the light of the afternoon had entered filling his gaze with happiness.
"It's..." Akira gasps. "My hairpin too."
"Yes, yesterday I found him falling. So I thought about giving it back to you," continued the man. "But after much thought, why don't I just love dolls."
Akira slowly grabbed the doll from the police. He almost cried. Not because of sadness, but because of happiness.
"Thank you very much!" For the first time, Akira spoke out loudly. This made the man smile even more.
"Oh yes. I have met you often. If you can tell, what's your name?" Ask the man.
"My name is Akira-" Akira almost stopped his words because he realized that maybe his father would scold him.
But it seems that the man did not realize it, in fact he introduced himself. "I'm Schlaff. Maybe you already know I'm a cop" he said.
"Uncle Schlaff!" Akira's eyes sparkled.
Schlaff was embarrassed when he was called that. "Eh, don't call me uncle. I'm not married yet. I'm not that old anyway."
"Hm? What age is uncle?"
"You said don't call uncle. I'm only nineteen."
"Oohs. That I'm ten years!" Akira responded enthusiastically. "But nineteen years is not old, right? Could he be a cop?"
Schlaff chuckles. "I got a military scholarship. Even though the end of my school failed and ended up being a cop. Where's the job is just patrol doang again."
"Woah, cool!"
Schlaff jerked small. "...Cooly? Do you think it's a cool patrol cop?"
Akira nodded. "If I grow up later, I want to be a cop like Om!"
"Eh, call me Om again. What if you call me by name?"
"E-Eh, but not disrespectful?"
"What's wrong, I don't mind. Besides, I don't want you to think of me as someone to be respected" Schlaff said. "Well, actually I just want him to be more relaxed with me."
While petting the doll on her lap, Akira began to laugh. Then he called Schlaff.
"Schlaff, thanks!" Her speech.
Seeing Akira smile like this, it felt like Schlaff's heart was filled with warmth. For some reason, he seemed to think Akira was like his own sister. He had only met her a few times.
Akira also seems so happy. For a moment he could finally forget everything that had happened to him. After all the violence he had received, he was still able to survive to this extent. He is a strong boy. And maybe, now fate is deliberately bringing the two of them together for an unexpected adventure.
"You happy, Akira?" Ask Schlaff.
Akira nodded as he began to take his puppet dancing on the grass. His hands were waving in the air with radiant faces. It was the best afternoon Akira had ever felt.
The two of them began to get closer. Schlaff also tried to get Akira to chat. He did not expect that Akira was quite good at getting along. When Schlaff discussed something, the girl could quickly understand it.
Chat after chat, did not feel the time passed quickly. The sun has completely set. The red sky turned blue.
"Huh, it's dark. You'd better get home, Akira," Schlaff climbed out of the grass. "Do I need to take you?"
Akira quickly shook his head. His face immediately panicked when he heard Schlaff offer that.
"No. not necessary. My house is not far away" he answered, clasping the doll in his hand.
"Hm.. okay. Be careful on the road. I'll continue patrolling."
The two of them separated after throwing thumbs at each other. Akira stepped with wide strides, but slowly his steps shrank. Slowly, very slowly, until finally stopped in the middle of the road.
The sun has set. And so is his happiness today. At that moment, he realized that everything would return as usual again.

Kreeks...
"about!"
Even when she opened the door, Akira was immediately filled with fear when she heard her father's screams. He was silent at the door while clutching his teddy bear tightly.
Gubrakk! His father closed the door hard. He did not want any neighbors to see him or know his son.
"Basin' stupid boy! How many times have you said. Don't leave the house!" The old man immediately did the same to Akira. Pull his ear and drag him into a small room, then throw him on the floor like an animal.
Akira screamed in pain. But even so, he did not release his grip from the teddy bear.
"Dad, I just want to play Akh!" Before he finished his sentence, the old man slapped his face.
"Basar you this. Being left at home for a while is gone. If anyone knows how you are?!" His father shouted. "Just look. If you complain to people, I will not hesitate to make you cry. But, speaking of crying..."
Akira's eyes were instantly filled with overwhelming fear as his father picked up a wooden stick from the corner of the room. The stick looked rough, with an unbroken texture. Spiky and jagged.
"Dad, geez-" Akira pleaded.
But vain. Her father had intended to make Akira cry tonight.
Maakk! Bukk! Akira was beaten with a merciless stick. He tried to scream for help, but his strength had run out to hold back his cries.
"Mother..." He took every blow while saying his mother's name.
"Your mother is dead!" Father shouted. "He died because he couldn't raise any more money. If only he had talent like you. That jewel can make us rich!"
Ah, true. All this time his father only used it for the sake of getting expensive gems. Since when did he experience this routine? Beaten, tortured, beaten, and beaten to tears. And every tear she cried, making her feel unbearable pain. Then he would repeat it again every day.
"Mothers... Schlaff..." Akira subconsciously mentioned the name, while tightly hugging the doll in his hand.
Instantly, his father stopped his blow. "Schlaff? Who's Schlaff?!" He yelled. "Are you complaining to someone?!"
Akira shakes. "No, dad. I didn't say anything-"
With one kick, the old man made Akira unable to speak. "Whisper! You really can't be forgiven anymore."
Akira screamed as his father snatched the doll from his hands.
"It's your punishment!"
Wrigeekk! Cotton foam flying, spread to every corner of the room. The two palms of the man each held half of the doll's body that had been torn in two.
Slowly Akira stared at the doll falling to the floor. Full of dust and blood. The only thing that made her happy was once again shattered. Will he suffer like this forever?
Tears slowly drained, flowing to the end of Akira's chin. He can't hold it anymore. Tis... Klutack! The sobbing tears turned into green gems in mid-air, then fell to the point of causing a small knock.
"Ha, finally crying too," The man began picking up the jewels that were splattered on the ground. "Crying continues. The more you cry, the more money you can make."
Tears began to mix with blood. His eyes were slowly injured as the tears he had released began to harden. That was why Akira tried as hard as possible to hold back her cries.
When he cries, he will take the jewel out of his eyes. But, the gem that came out was able to injure his eyeball. Sometimes his eyes can be scratched and make him feel a very painful wound.
"Yah!" Akira was crying harder. The jewel grains are falling more and more. In his suffering, his father smiled and laughed at the wealth he had.
"I'm rich! I'm rich! I-i-"
Clebb! A crystal sticking out of the floor of the house. The father fell silent as he slowly turned his gaze toward his chest that had been torn through something shiny green.
"This...what?" Yes feel. "Is this a gem?"
Before he could understand what was happening, his body slowly turned to stone. Glossy and hard precious stone.
"Well..." He glanced at his son who was standing wordlessly staring at him. His look was terrible. As if there were no humans in it.
A few seconds later, the man turned into an emerald statue. His last expression was to open his mouth. Hoping to scream but not a single scream was ever heard. At the end of his life, he died an asshole father. And for the first time, Akira killed someone.
