"Darren-sama?" She said, "Where do you know?"

Darren lowered his face. What's he supposed to do?

"Do I have to tell you everything? Even about her sister?"

Heavily, Darren answered, "I know from your brother," he said.

"My sister? Uh, Hayate?" Say that woman.

Darren nodded. "Yes," he answered, "A few weeks ago, the Erobernesian forces attacked the village. Me and Hayate, along with my two friends, fought to protect the village."

The expression on the woman's face became tense.

"Then, what happened?" Her speech.

"Initially we managed to knock out the whole army" Darren continued, "But their general, Michael. He was a very strong man. When we were about to fight him, we misjudged his strength. He managed to beat us back and almost killed me."

The woman is getting tense.

"But, my friends, Yuzuna and Rolf, sacrificed themselves to save me" Darren said. "Your brother warned me to run, too, but he ended up getting killed before he knew it. But thanks to their sacrifice, the White Wolf village managed to survive their attack."

Tears slowly trickled down the woman's cheeks. His expression turned blank. He did not expect his brother to have left when he was not there.

"I'm sorry. I can't save him, " Darren added. "If I were stronger. That might not happen." Darren said with regret.

The woman nodded with a smile. "It's okay. It's not your fault, Darren-sama," he said. "I'm sure my brother would be honored to fight alongside a good man like you."

Instantly the woman's cry turned into a cheerful face. Whether it's a fake or honest expression.

Darren replied with a smile. But he actually felt bad for her.

"Did he not feel sad? No-I guess he's just trying to look okay."

"Then, what about them?" Asked the woman while pointing at the animal humans.

Darren thought of taking them to the Lizardmen village. He and the Lizardmen had quite a good relationship, so they must have understood this situation.

But at the same time, he had to go immediately to the city of Friedlich, to continue his journey. So he decided to send them there without having to come along.

"There is a village in the forest of Albtraum. The Lizardmen village. I think you'll be safe there" Darren said.

"Sorry, but animal humans and lizardmen don't get along very well. Are you sure?" Reply to the woman.

"What's wrong. I'm sure they understand the situation" Darren replied. "After all, I'm pretty close to the Lizardmen. I'll write you a letter to take there."

"You're so great huh, Darren-sama. You want to be friends with a monster," Praise the woman. "When people hate us so much."

Darren announces his plan, to send the animal humans to the Lizardmen village. He wrote the letter and cast a little spell on it.

"If on your way you experience obstacles such as being attacked or something like that, do not hesitate to use the magic that I have taught you" Darren said. "You are forbidden to attack people. Unless they attack you first."

The animal humans nodded.

"Darren-sama, if you will, allow me to follow you," said the woman suddenly.

"Why all of a sudden?"

The woman replied, "My purpose for wandering is to gain strength. And thanks to your help earlier, I managed to master a bit of magic."

Darren remembered Hayate's will.

"My sister, please tell him that he must become stronger."

"Maybe I can help her. Seeing how quickly he mastered magic, he had great potential" murmured Darren.

"Alright, I allow it" Darren replied.

The woman smiled happily too. "Thank you very much, Darren-sama!" Enthusiasticity says.

And for the others, Darren ordered them to start their journey.

"May you survive to your destination" Darren said.

The animal-men left with smiles on their faces. This time they received good treatment from a human.

After they left, Darren continued on his way into the city, followed by the woman behind him.

"Oh yes, you," Call Darren to the woman, "Do I not give you a name? It's easy when we're chatting."

"M-chatting?" The woman was shocked. "b-maybe. Just so it's your wish, Darren-sama."

Darren also shrunk his chin. He thought of a good name for the girl.

"From his stature, he had white skin and hair."

"White in Japanese what?"

"What if I call you Shiro?" Darren.

"Shiro?" Say that woman.

"Yes. Where I come from, Shiro means white. It suits you well" Darren said.

The woman was embarrassed. "Suit.., huh?" Said coyly. "I don't mind."

"Yosha! From now on your name is Shiro," Darren said with a smile. "It's nice to meet you, Shiro."

The woman's face was red. Just this time he saw a human who wants to connect with animal humans like friends.

"Thank you, Darren-sama."

As soon as he entered the city, Darren kept an eye on the surroundings. Although Europe is being hit by an accident, it does not mean they will be silent about him.

Darren's main destination now is a clothing store. According to him, Shiro's clothes were too worn. He has to get a new shirt.

"Darren-sama, you really don't need to do this" Shiro said after putting on his new clothes. "It's just a waste of your money."

"It's okay. Your old clothes look worn. I don't mind buying you a new one" Darren replied. "After looking around, you fit into that outfit!"

Shiro only blushed in embarrassment.

It didn't feel like it was back in the afternoon. Looks like Darren has to find lodging right away despite his status as a fugitive.

"From this afternoon there was no sign of Europe here. It seems like this place is still safe from the news."

After touring for quite a while, Darren finally found the only inn in this city. The inn seemed quite expensive, considering this city is a fairly advanced city.

"Excuse me. I'd like to book two rooms" Darren told the inn's cashier. "One for me and one for him," while pointing at Shiro.

"Sorry, but slaves are not allowed to have their own rooms" replied the cashier.

"But he's not Agh's boy, can't he? I'll pay more" Darren pleaded.

"I'm sorry, but it's a given rule" the person continued. "If you want, there's a stall next door. He can stay there."

Darren was upset by the words, but he had to temper his emotions. He cannot make a fuss to keep his identity.

"Darren-sama, I don't mind sleeping in the stables. I'm used to it" said Shiro.

Darren gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"All right, I'll book a room!" Her speech. "Shiro, you're going to sleep in my room!"

Shiro surprised.

The cashier received Darren's money and drove them to the room that had been booked.

"Darren-sama, you don't need to do this" Shiro said feeling guilty. "Sleeping one room with a human animal is despicable. Don't you care about your reputation?"

"Don't tell me that" Darren replied as he rolled out a carpet. "I have my own standards of reputation. The reputation that people say is just selfishness."

"But..." Shiro.

"That's it, don't talk about it anymore" Darren said. "You slept in a mattress. I'll just sleep on the floor."

"But, Darren-sama, I..." Say Shiro again.

"Easy! That's an order!" Reply Darren. "Don't think about me. Think of yourself! Is it wrong that you indulge yourself once in a while?"

Shiro was silent.

"I'm sorry, I got carried away with emotions" Darren continued. "I'm just upset to see people treat human animals so lowly."

"Darren-sama?"

"I have seen the rottenness of man. They consider themselves to be the highest beings. But their own attitude is like an animal" Darren continued. "My wish is to fix it."

Darren then turned to Shiro with a smile on his face.

"I have lost precious friends because of human vices. Therefore, I do not want similar events to happen to others, including you animal humans," he said. "Now sleep. Tomorrow I have something to do."

Shiro replied with a faint smile, "Fine, Darren-sama."
