It had been three days since Darren's arrival to the Lizardmen village. There, it was well received by the residents. Moreover, the story of Darren who considers all monsters like humans, began to spread among the Lizardmen.

"Yes" answered Darren. "When you go, things get worse."

Yuzuna smiled softly. "Then" he said, "I'm sure you can get through it."

"What makes you so sure?"

"Because Darren-san is a great person," Yuzuna replied. "You must remember that you are the one who saved the animal man's village."

Darren lowered his head. "It's good that I still can't save you guys."

Yuzuna then hugged Darren. Darren, who had been carried away by grief, then cried in Yuzuna's arms.

"It's not your fault" Yuzuna said.

"How can!? You, Rolf, and Hayate are not right in front of me. How can it be if it's not my fault!?" Darren. "If I were stronger. You guys are not gonna be like this."

Yuzuna put her hand over Darren's head. Slowly, he began stroking her gently. He whispered beside Darren's ear.

"You are strong. Even stronger than the three of us," He whispered. "The three of us were our own mistakes. It has nothing to do with you."

"I'm so grateful to have met you. To me, you are the only person who lives in my heart" Yuzuna continued.

"Yuzuna..-san..." Darren said as he looked at Yuzuna's face.

"I like you, Darren-san," Yuzuna said.

Darren remained silent. Just this time someone told him that.

"Y-Yuzuna...-san..?" Darren said slowly.

"But baby, this will be the last time for us" Yuzuna said. "Keep forward, and never look back. Find someone else who can understand how you feel."

"I'm happy, I can love you" Yuzuna continued.

Yuzuna disappears and leaves Darren without a trace. A surprised Darren started to look back and forth, but all he saw was nothing.

Darren started to notice the surroundings. Ah yes, he remembered that he was taking a nap. But was the dream he had just witnessed real?

"Y-Yuzuna..-san..." Tears began to slowly drip. "Why? Why are you saying all that?"

After wiping away her tears, suddenly Riuku appeared from the door.

"Darren-san," he called. "Kanrei-san wants to see you."

Darren then stood up from his bed and walked towards the living room.

"Hey, Darren. How's your sleep?" Her speech.

"Ah, my sleep is very good," replied Darren which of course was a lie.

"Good then" replied Kanrei. "By the way, Kaido-sama wants to meet you. He's been waiting at the village hall."

"All right, I'll be there now."

Darren then walked to the village hall along with Kanrei. There, Kaido was already seen waiting for him.

"What's up, Kaido-san?" Darren said as he sat in front of him.

"I want to talk about something" replied Kaido.

"Want to talk?"

"If you may know," Kaido continued, "Why do you want to help us Lizardmen? Shouldn't humans like you hate us?"

Darren replied, "Because I think it's a good thing to do" he replied. "And I don't hate monsters like you at all. Because to me, monsters like you have more humanity than humans themselves."

"Do you know what you just said?" Kaido.

"of course. I talk like that because I've seen how rotten people are" Darren said. "They tortured monsters, regarded them as inferior creatures, and even made them slaves."

"But, isn't such a thing normal among humans?" Kaido.

"That's what I hate about humans" Darren replied. "They thought such a thing was common. Every creature has the right to live free."

Kaido and Kanrei were glued still. To them, Darren's answer was already completely beyond the limits of normal human thought.

"So, is that why you could be pursued by the Kingdom of Europe?" Ask Kaido.

"Right," Darren replied as he nodded slowly. "A few days ago, the Kingdom of Europe sent an army to capture the Animal Man. But, my friends and I tried to oppose them. In the end, the battle was inevitable."

"Don't you, is that the cause of your girl friend..." Kanrei.

"Yes, right. My friend was killed trying to protect the animal-human village" Darren replied. "They were killed by the leader of the Erobernesian army, General Michael."

"S-everything?" Kaido and Kanrei were shocked.

Darren just nodded. He no longer wants to talk more. To him, remembering that incident caused him stress. Moreover, the dream made him remember.

"So so," Kaido said as he looked at Darren's expression. "I'm sorry for making you recall the incident."

"Yes, it's okay" Darren replied.

"Then, what are you gonna do next? The Kingdom of Erobernesia will not remain silent, will it?" Ask Kaido.

"Actually, yesterday when Kanrei found me injured, I was on the run towards the Erfroren mountains. But my leg was wounded by poison, and my journey was blocked" Darren replied. "But luckily Kanrei found me."

Then Darren turned his head towards Kanrei who was standing by the door. "I owe you, Kanrei," Darren said. Then he turned back to Kaido. "I owe you too, Kaido-san. Because you've removed the poison."

"Yes, because you've helped the villagers. Let's just say that we're even" Kaido replied with a smile.

"But, Darren. What exactly are you?" Ask Kanrei. "I saw you fill Mana up quickly. For monsters alone, it was impossible."

Darren scratched his head. He was confused as to how to explain it. Should he open his secret? No, it will only bring about the problem for sure.

"Mm. I could say, it was my talent from birth," Darren replied with an awkward smile. "But I'm still human."

"Thank God. At first I thought you were an Undercover Undead," Kanrei sighed.

"What!?" Kanrei said, followed by a pounding of his spear to the ground.

"What's up, Kanrei?" Ask Kaido.

"Erobernesian soldiers, they are on their way here" Kanrei replied.

Darren and Kaido were immediately shocked.

"How is it possible? Is it because they saw my weather magic?" Darren.

"Maybe. But there is no point in talking about that now" Kaido said sternly. "We need to get ready to fight!"

Kaido ordered Kanrei to evacuate the villagers to the forest, as it would be safer there.

While Kanrei and Kaido are busy, Darren heads to take the troops away from the village. By making himself a decoy, the troops would definitely chase him.

He quickly returned to his home. There he had crossed paths with Riuku and Takara.

"Darren-san, what's wrong? Why do you look so rushed?" Ask Riuku.

"Riuku, quickly get Takara out of here!" Darren. "You two quickly follow Kanrei to the forest. There'll be safer."

"What's wrong, Darren-oniisan?" Takara asked innocently.

Darren thought that he should not panic the children, so he answered him with a lie. "We want to go on a picnic to the forest. It's gonna be so much fun." Darren actually felt heavy-hearted to say that.

While Riuku realized something from Darren's behavior. Darren who blinked his eyes, signaled that something dangerous was about to arrive at the village.

"Sir, let's go! It will definitely be fun playing in the forest" Riuku said with a great acting.

They both left Darren.

Darren immediately went to his room. He took his sword and packed. This might be his last day in the village. Then he ran out into the forest toward the troops of Erobernesia.

"Don't I let this beautiful village be ruined by their hands!"
