Darren's head feels dizzy. It felt so heavy, he wanted to sleep but he realized that there was something he had to do.
"Pump... This is what, huh?" Darren felt something on the back of his head. "Is this a pillow?"
Slowly Darren started to groan. He tried to raise his head but he still wanted to fall asleep.
"Ugh..." He nodded while opening his eyes.
When his eyes opened, Shiro's face was already in front of him. His face was so close that it shocked Darren.
"Ah, Darren-sama, you're awake" Shiro said with a big smile on his face. "Good morning."
"Again, Shiro," Darren instantly realized something. "Wait, what is this... thigh?"
Darren is immediately shocked when he realizes that what he is sleeping on is not a pillow, but Shiro's thigh. He was about to stand up, but his body was still too limp and felt very heavy.
"Okay," Stirred.
Shiro immediately pushed Darren's body back into its original position. "Darren-sama, your body is still weak. You better stay rest."
Darren finally shut up. Darren actually enjoyed this a little bit. This was also the first time for Darren, and he wouldn't turn him down other than the reason that this was a bit disrespectful.
"Do you feel anything, Darren-sama?" Shiro asked softly.
"I just feel a little weak. Lifting just feels heavy," replied Darren. He knew that Shiro had been guarding him all night, but he tried to question him. "Have you been here all night?"
Shiro smiled as he nodded. "Yes" he answered. "I don't want to leave you, Darren-sama."
Hearing that Darren's heart started to beat. Is it because this is the first time a woman has said that to him directly? Well, from a long time ago he was never close to women anyway.
Moreover, they were just the two of them there. This made Darren recall the incident a few days ago at the inn.
"Shiro, have you ever done that?" Darren's mouth opened on its own, as if he didn't knowingly say it.
"Do what, Darren-sama?"
Darren instantly woke up from half his sleep. "Um, no. It's nothing."
Darren was trying to change that awkward atmosphere. "By the way, where are the others?"
"Remi-san and her friends are leaving. They said they wanted to find information about Tora-kun," Shiro replied.
"Then, the woman of yesterday?"
"Katherine-san is leaving with Tomatsu-sama."
"Tomatsu?"
"Yes, Tomatsu-sama said he wants to buy food for you. And Katherine-san insists on going with her."
"So so. He doesn't usually get that kind of attention" Darren said with a slight chuckle.
It became quiet for a moment. Darren who was still closing his eyes on Shiro's lap while Shiro himself started to hum gently. This peaceful state felt calming while making Darren more alert.
"I am under the threat of the Demon King. His life around me is at stake, too" murmured Darren. "I should have kept running and stayed away from this death. But now I'm just relaxing and not thinking about anything else."
"If one day in the future I continue like this, what will roughly happen?"
"Maybe I won't be able to feel this kind of peace again. And if I keep running, the people I care about might start to leave."
"Or maybe it's better for me to turn myself in, rather than risking the lives of those who have nothing to do with this?"
As Darren was engrossed in his own reflection, suddenly the door opened and a group of people entered. It was Remi and Rendi.
Darren immediately opened his eyes and saw them start approaching him.
"Woah, Darren-sama is awake!" Remi shouted in excitement.
"Good morning, Darren-sama," Rendi greeted Darren politely. "How are you doing today?"
Darren replied to her with a relaxed smile while raising his head slightly. "I'm fine."
Remi then crouched down beside Darren, while Rendi sat in a chair a bit away from it. They both seem to have worked hard and their faces show that their hard work has paid off.
"It looks like I'll hear some good news" Darren said as Remi opened her mouth.
"Ah, how do you know," Grumbled Remi. "We found something about Tora-san."
"Oh yeah? Please explain."
Remi started to sit on the floor and crossed her legs. "This happened last night" he said. "When we walked past a restaurant, we accidentally ran into him. And when we looked, he went into the restaurant."
"But he's not alone" Rendi said. "We also saw others with him."
"Other people?"
"But what do the royal people do? As far as I know it's taboo for them to walk with unknown slaves" Remi continued.
Darren was worried. Was Tora captured by the royal side? Then Tora could be returned to her old master and tortured to death.
It's critical. Darren's mind went into a panic and he didn't want Tora to go to any lengths. After all, he also still does not know for sure the reason for the escape. Tora may have overheard his conversation with Tomatsu about the Demon King, but Darren wasn't sure.
Darren stood up straight away. Although his body still feels heavy, but he can not stay still after hearing Rendi's report.
"Darren-sama?" Shiro was shocked as Darren moved on. "Where are you going?"
"I have to find Tora" Darren said frantically.
Remi stopped Darren. "Better not," He calmed Darren down slowly.
"What do you mean Don't!?"
"Did Darren-sama already have a plan?" Remi Remi. "Are you going to go forward alone to snatch Tora-san out of the hands of the kingdom. If the kingdom knows that a fugitive is in their territory, then it is only a matter of time until this place is besieged. And worst of all, there will be bloodshed."
Darren's emotions are starting to go out. He understood Remi's intentions. Remi was a long-minded man. Fortunately, he was here to stop it.
"Then what should I do?" Darren said desperately.
"Just calm down, I've asked the twins to follow Tora-san," Remi said with a confident smile on her face.
Darren breathed a sigh of relief. Remi is completely reliable in this regard. His ability to take a step was also quite great for an uneducated person like him.
"Thank you, Remi," Darren threw himself on the floor and sat down. His face was pale at first, but now he was fine. "It turns out you're very reliable."
Remi replied with a smile. "I'm so happy to get compliments from people like you, Darren-sama."
Rendi just looked at the two of them casually. A small smile was plastered on his face, especially after watching Remi calm Darren down.
"You're great, Remi."

Meanwhile...
Tomatsu was walking with Katherine under the scorching morning sun. They were on their way back to the building with food in their hands.
"Ah, is he awake, huh?" Tomatsu muttering.
"You mean Darren-sama?" Katherine walked beside him.
Tomatsu nodded. "I didn't expect that he could also use light magic" he said. "In the beginning I began to think of him as a monster."
Katherine gave a small laugh then looked into her own stomach. "But thanks to him, I have a second chance now."
Tomatsu turned his head and looked at Katherine's sweet smiling face. He smiled, but in his heart he was worried about Darren.
"I want to say a big thank you to her" Katherine continued.
Tomatsu chuckled a little. "If you want to thank him, you should say it briefly. He's not the kind of guy who likes to beat around the bush."
Katherine raised her head and looked at Tomatsu. "It looks like Tomatsu-sama knows him very well, yes," he said. "Are you guys very close?"
Tomatsu laughing. "of course. He was my student. As a teacher, I have to understand about my own students."
As he was about to turn towards the entrance alley of the building, Tomatsu's left arm accidentally collided with a man with a veil on his head.
Bukk!
"Oy, if you use dong's eyes!" Tomatsu Shouts.
The man just kept his head down while holding onto the veil to cover his face. He then replied briefly in a flat tone.
"Then I'm sorry. I didn't mean it, '" he said.
Tomatsu was irritated when the person just left. He wanted to go after her but was stopped by Katherine.
"We better give this food to Darren-sama quickly. He may have woken up" said Katherine.
Tomatsu finally complied. Had he had the chance, he would have beaten the man. They entered the building and let the man go.
